Work Text:

When Por blinked his eyes open, vision still blurry with the remnants of his dream, he couldn’t remember ever falling asleep.
He rubbed his eyes, taking in his surroundings to make sense of what had happened. The memories returned in pieces, but he could puzzle them together bit by bit.

Por’s body was heavy with sleep, and warm from the blanket that had not been there before.
Actually he hadn’t even been lying down or anything…
So Tee must have brought the blanket and draped it over him. Of course he had. Because that puppy was just…

Really good at this.

Por felt his stomach do a little flip at the thought. He still wasn’t used to this. Every time Tee went out of his way to look after him in that special way… Por just didn’t know how to handle it.

He breathed in the scent that clung to Tee’s blanket and enjoyed the gentle warmth of it for another minute or two. His limbs felt heavy, filled with the strain of a whole day of dance routines, some cardio and muscle exercises. He really wanted to continue sleeping. Or dozing at least.

But something was missing.

The very reason why Por had even slipped off into sleep to begin with. The very reason he had allowed himself to give in to exhaustion and rest his head against someone’s shoulder.

Ah, right. Por hummed as that memory returned to him as well.
He had leaned against Tee’s side and promised that he would rest his eyes for only a few moments.

Well, judging by how dark it was in the room, these few moments must have turned into… one long moment. And seeing as Tee had been right there with him…

Por groaned.

He was embarrassed by his own self.

When had he become like this? When had it become normal for him to be this comfortable around Tee, to the point that falling asleep with him nearby became this easy?
Por always needed something to hold on to when he wanted to get actual rest that didn’t feel like a fleeting moment resetting his being. It didn’t really matter what that thing was before either. A plush, a pillow, even a piece of clothing would do. (And no, Auau would never, ever, learn that Por sometimes slept with Tee’s hoodies in his bed. Nope. It would be an absolute shame if he had to punch his best friend in the face for teasing him after all. And that, he would. Tease him mercilessly that is.)

So, he would take this to the grave.
Not even Tee knew. And Por would rather keep it that way.

Which brought him back to his predicament. There was no Tee here with him.

“Tee?” he asked into the darkness. The moonlight that filtered in through the window was at least enough to let Por make out all the outlines of the living room and confirm that the other boy wasn’t here. The door was open however, so Por tried again, raising his voice a little louder this time.

“Tee?”

Por grumbled. Where had his puppy wandered off too? Begrudgingly, he rose from his perfect spot on the couch, the blanket still wrapped around him. Stepping out into the hallway, Por quickly found where he needed to go.

Light could be seen coming from below the door that led to Tee’s bedroom, so that was where Por would go. He knocked only once, before pushing the handle down and entering.

He knew he was pouting.
And Por decided that he didn’t care. He wanted Tee to see.

Tee, who nearly jumped off his bed when Por had unceremoniously opened the door and stepped inside.
Tee, who looked flustered, eyes wide, face illuminated in gold from the bedside lamp.

Tee, who looked unfairly handsome right now. Por grunted and let himself fall onto the bed, facing away from the other.
“Awake?” came Tee’s soft voice then. He didn’t speak too loud nor too quiet, he spoke exactly in the volume that it wouldn’t disturb the serenity of the late hour.

Por wondered if Tee knew how unfair he sometimes was.

“Unfortunately,” Por started, and decided to turn around after all so Tee could see his frown, “You were gone.”

Tee chuckled and leaned in closer, “So cute~~Ah, Pip, don’t be so cute all the time, mh?” And then, when Tee wanted to pull away again, Por simply reached out and grabbed his arm.
“Where are you going?” Por complained, and then let his features soften a little.

It wasn’t as if he was mad or anything.

He wasn’t. He knew that Tee probably didn’t want to wake him up by accidentally laughing over a silly TikTok video or something like that.
But sometimes his puppy was really slow.

His eyes found Tee’s. His hold tightened a little bit and Por tugged only with minimal force.
“I’m tired,” he said, eyes never leaving the younger’s.

“Then sleep, Pip,” Tee said, dark brown eyes wandering between Por’s own and his mouth. (His puppy was so easy, and Por absolutely adored that about him.)

“Come lie down with me.”
Por’s voice is steady, his gaze never moving away. So, he didn’t miss the way Tee’s face flushed.
Didn’t miss the way his mouth opened the slightest bit, disbelief clearly written all over his face.

Soon Por wouldn’t be able to resist him anymore.

Soon enough, Por would have to give in.

“Won’t you?”

Tee swallowed audibly and just in case the younger thought of pulling away, Por decided to hold onto the other’s arm a little tighter.

“Pip… are you sure? I can sleep on the couch, you know?”

Por grunted.

“Tee. Just lie down with me, okay? Want to hold you.” And that finally gave Tee pause. Finally made the younger shut up and cease any other false protests.

These words, uttered by Por in the dim light of Tee’s bedroom, were what made his puppy’s body go lax, and start to fall into him.

Por hummed as Tee came to him, willingly moulding his body against his own.

His eyes were already falling shut again as Tee’s scent began to encompass him.
“Good boy,” he heard himself whisper, arms reaching around the younger and pulling him where he wanted him the most.

“Thanks,” Por managed to add, feeling Tee tremble against him. He pressed a kiss to Tee’s forehead.

Soon, he would put the puppy out of his misery.

The phase of consideration and contemplation was long over by now.

“Good night na krub~” was the last thing he heard before Por slipped back into his dreams, where the same warmth and comfort greeted him that Tee brought to him with his presence.
