Work Text:
Hoseok woke up to the sounds of his roommates packing their bags and wondered how in the world anyone could have made so much while doing so.
“Yah, you’re too loud,” he muttered from under his blankets.
“Hyung, you should get up anyway. We’re leaving in an hour,” Taehyung said as he patted his hyung over the sheets. “And you still have to shower,” he added before he grabbed his bag and walked out of the room as he left the door closed behind him.
Hoseok heard footsteps approach him before he felt a slight dip in his bed. He decided to poke his head out from under the duvet and smiled.
“Morning, hyung,” Jimin said with a grin before he leaned down and kissed Hoseok’s forehead.
“Yah,” Hoseok started as he reached out with his arm and pulled the younger back down. “Not good enough.”
“You have morning breath,” Jimin said with a giggle but that didn’t stop his hyung as he pulled him closer and pressed their lips together. The younger of the two smiled before he moved away and leaned down to kiss him a second and then a third time. Jimin stood up but rolled his eyes as Hoseok whined and reached both his arms out and made grabby hands. “Hyung, you have to get ready,” the younger said as he crossed his arms.
“But-“
“Nope,” the other said in determination as he turned his head away from his hyung and if that was the cutest thing Hoseok had ever seen in his life, he didn’t mention it.
“Fine,” the older grumbled and Jimin smiled before he grabbed his own bag and followed after his friend out of the room. Hoseok forced himself to go to the bathroom and rubbed his eyes as he stared at the mirror. He groaned before he made the decision to shower and lazily started his normal routine for the morning. He was thankful he packed everything the night before and already picked out his airport outfit so he really all he had to do was put it on and fix his hair after he got out of the shower. He was just about to put on the outfit when he noticed a dark mark on his neck from the mirror in their room. He widened his eyes before he quickly headed into the bathroom and turned on the lights.
“Park Jimin,” Hoseok said angrily to the mirror as he clenched his fists and pretended to punch the glass repeatedly. He sighed in frustration before he rested his hand over the mark. He couldn’t help but smile as he thought back to the night before. He then shook his head and opted to focus on figuring out how to hide the very obvious hickey on his neck.
“Hoseok-ah, we’re leaving in 10 minutes!” he heard Namjoon yell from outside. He thought about grabbing his turtle neck but realised he already packed it in his check in bag and it was probably already downstairs in the van. He opened one of the drawers and stared at the powder and concealer in front of him. He hoped to God he picked up enough skills from their stylists over the years. Otherwise, he was absolutely fucked.
“What took you so long?” Suga asked with a raised eyebrow and Hoseok shrugged as he made his way into the van. He sat next to the window, Seokjin on his right side and managed to calm himself down enough with the thought that he just needed to make it to the airport and then he could throw on the turtle neck he had in his luggage. He could give some random excuse about being too cold and it would probably work. Maybe. He sighed before he decided he shouldn’t dwell too much on it and fell asleep with his head rested against the window.
“Hoseok, get up,” Seokjin said as he shook the man’s arm, “Get up, we’re here,” he said and Hoseok groaned as he forced himself out of the van. He absentmindedly rubbed his neck as he stretched it from side to side with a sigh of content. He spotted the group of photographers before he followed after the rest of his members into the the airport. A strange feeling arose from the pit of his stomach when he noticed the amount of camera flashes increase. He’s used to this. And yet, he felt as though he had forgotten something important.
“Hyung,” Taehyung said as he stared at him, “What is that?” he asked as he placed a hand over his own neck. The rest of the members turned their head and Jimin widened his eyes. Hoseok stared at them in confusion as he mimicked Taehyung and placed a hand on his own neck. He stared at the members and when his eyes fell on Jimin, the realisation hit him.
“Oh my God,” he said with panicked eyes before he looked at his hand and noticed the remnants of the makeup he used early this morning. He rubbed on his neck again in surprise and wanted to smack himself in the face because that just made the mark all the more visible.
“Is that a hickey?” Namjoon said excitedly as he walked in front of his friend. The rest of the group crowded closer as they began to inspect the said hickey on their main dancer’s neck.
“N-no,” Hoseok replied poorly and Yoongi sent him a look with a raised eyebrow.
“Is this what you’ve been doing all this time?” Seokjin asked, “You’ve been disappearing from the hotel rooms in the middle of the night and coming back at like 6 in the morning,” he said and Jimin bit his lip and looked down. “I thought you were just doing some late night practicing!”
“I-I uhm-“ the younger started as he glanced between the members but avoided all eye contact with Jimin.
“So who is she?” Namjoon asked excitedly.
“I’m sorry what?”
“You have a girlfriend don’t you?” the leader continued, “That’s why you’ve been sneaking around so much and doing all this,” he added air quotations to the next word, "practicing."
“Is that true, hyung?!” Jungkook asked in complete surprise as his eyes continued to divert between the dancer’s gaze and the hickey on his neck.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Taehyung asked with a pout and Jimin squirmed as he stood next to them. Hoseok let out a deep breath before he brought his hand up to hide the mark yet again.
“I’m sorry,” he admitted and the rest of the members gasped as they shuffled a little closer in interest. “We’ve been going out for a while and I just-I don’t want anyone else to know just yet.”
“But we’re not just anyone,” Taehyung stated with another pout and Hoseok bit his lip.
“It’s just been going really well for a while and I figured-“ he started but was interrupted by their managers who told them they were starting to head towards their gate.
“We’ll talk about this later,” Yoongi said with a grin as he patted his dongsaeng’s back. Hoseok smiled back awkwardly but then proceeded to glare at the reason of his problems. Jimin looked at him guiltily and scratched the back of his head.
“I-“ Jimin started but Taehyung interrupted.
“Hey! No spoilers,” he said before he grabbed Jimin’s arm and pulled him to follow the rest of the group. Jimin looked back with sorry eyes and Hoseok could only watch before he decided to follow after them. To his luck, Jimin was seated next to him on the plane and despite everyone’s protests and offerings to exchange seats in order to get a little more information out of their lead choreographer, Jimin stood firm.
“I’m sorry, oh my God, I’m sorry,” Jimin said in embarrassment as he covered his face and sunk down in his seat. Hoseok continued to glare at him as he placed the provided neck pillow around him to hide the mark. “I didn’t even realise. I got too excited,” he mumbled before he sat up to stare at his boyfriend. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he repeated and Hoseok narrowed his eyes at the younger. Jimin drifted his gaze to own hands and the older of the two sighed.
“It’s fine,” he admitted, “Look, it was a mistake and I really did enjoy last night.”
“Really?” Jimin said softly as he looked up to meet his eyes.
“Really,” he stated and the pair smiled. Jimin’s eyes diverted to his boyfriend’s lips and he instinctively leaned forward. Hoseok placed a hand on his chest.
“Jimin!”
“Oh God, sorry!” he said for the thousandth time during their flight and Hoseok shook his head. “I just really want to kiss you,” he whispered. He looked in the opposite direction, his cheeks red.
“I do too,” Hoseok whispered and the younger nearly snapped his neck when he turned around. They both smiled, a light blush across their faces.
The flight went by faster than Hoseok would have liked and before he knew it, they were all seated in his hotel room, sprawled across the two beds pushed together with him stood in front of them as if to perform a show.
“So, what’s she like?” Jungkook asked and Hoseok couldn’t help but drift his eyes over to Jimin who had his face buried in his hands. “Pretty?”
“Beautiful,” he said fondly and Jimin bit his lip.
“Aish, this is so embarrassing to listen to,” Yoongi said but still focused his attention on the dancer.
“How old is she?” Seokjin asked.
“Does she dance?” Taehyung interrupted as he sat up on the bed.
“As amazing as Jimin,” he said with a snort and their heads turned to the said dancer for what seemed to be a reaction.
“That’s-Are you sure?” Jimin asked weakly.
“Very,” Hoseok said as he tried to contain his laughter.
“Can we see a photo?”
“No!” Jimin said quickly and the attention was back on him. Hoseok nearly slapped himself in the face. “I mean, hyung probably wouldn’t want to show us yet would he?” If the other members found his behaviour strange they didn’t mention it and opted to send Hoseok questioning looks.
“Yeah, I don’t think they’d be comfortable with that just yet?” he said awkwardly, “Sorry.”
“It’s okay. You don’t have to show us,” Taehyung started, “We’re just a little hurt you didn’t tell us is all.”
“Sorry, Taehyung-ah,” Hoseok said with a pout. “I just didn’t want to risk anything.”
“We understand though, right?” Namjoon said as he sent the maknae line a look.
“Right,” Tae and Jungkook echoed as they rolled their eyes. Before the members could ask anymore questions, there was a harsh knock on the door and Jimin practically sprinted off the bed to answer it, eager to leave the strange atmosphere. Though he suddenly wished he didn’t.
“Where’s Hoseok?” their manager, Sejin, asked with a serious expression across his face. Jimin sucked in a deep breath as he let their manager walk past him. He followed him further into the room and stood behind him.
“What’s wrong?” Yoongi asked before he moved to stand up. Sejin merely raised his hand for silence and turned to face the main dancer.
“You should’ve come to me first,” he said as he held up a phone in front of him. Hoseok narrowed his eyes at the screen before he picked it up and read the big bold letters out loud.
“BTS’ J-HOPE SHAMELESSLY SPORTS HICKEYS FROM SECRET GIRLFRIEND.”
Jimin bit his lip guiltily, a worried expression across his face.
“Please tell me beforehand before you decide to announce such a thing in such a way so I can at least be warned prior,” Sejin said with a sigh.
“I didn’t want to announce it,” Hoseok said angrily as he skimmed through the article, “I tried my best to cover it up with makeup but apparently it rubbed off,” he added.
“Well, the press and ARMY are having a field day. Scroll down,” their manager said as he took a seat on the bed next to the rest of the members who seemed to stare at Hoseok as if he was a piece of glass, ready to break.
“This is all my fault,” Jimin said in frustration as he leaned against the wall. Hoseok quickly turned his head to face his boyfriend with wide eyes.
“How is it your fault?” Sejin asked with crossed arms. Jimin had the sudden urge to throw himself out the window. A few seconds of silence before Hoseok spoke.
“He-He saw it before everyone else,” he said as he let his eyes travel to the floor.
“I-I just thought it was a burn from a straightener or something so I didn’t point it out when I could have,” he said rather lamely but to his luck, the rest of the group just stared at him in confusion.
“Jimin that doesn’t make it your fault,” Seokjin said softly.
“When did you see her last?” Sejin asked suddenly as he stared at the floor, as if he’s trying to conjure up a master plan.
“Last night,” Hoseok mumbled and tried his best to not look Jimin in the eye. “I mean, that’s why-“ he said as he gestured towards his neck.
“How is that possible? We went to bed at the same time,” Taehyung said with furrowed brows.
“No, you went to bed, I went out,” he stated and it wasn’t a complete lie. He and Jimin had the tendency to meet up in the bathroom in the dead of night. It was easy to hide and no one would question why they were both up at such an odd hour. They thought they had luck on their side when they managed to avoid being walked into all this time. The universe wasn’t as kind as they thought.
“Who is she?” Sejin asked and Hoseok froze.
“I-uhm-I don’t think-“
“Look, Hoseok, I at least need to know something about her. Is she another idol? Is she a childhood friend? Where did you meet her?”
“Another idol,” he whispered and the rest of the members nearly fell off the joined beds.
“What?!” Jungkook asked in utter shock.
“How did you find time to meet up with another idol? How did you even manage to?” Namjoon asked, baffled by being so deceived by his friend. Hoseok shrugged.
“We have ways,” was all he said and Sejin sighed.
“We have to talk to Bang Sihyuk PD,” their manager stated, “Come on.”
“We want to come too!” Taehyung said as he stood up but Seokjin grabbed his arm and pulled him back down.
“The three of us have to talk alone and then we’ll let you guys know what we’ll do next okay?” Sejin said as he walked towards the door and motioned Hoseok to follow. Hoseok took a deep breath and sent the members a smile before he followed after him.
“Wait,” Jimin started as he grabbed Hoseok’s hand. “Hyung, I-“
“I’ll be fine, Jiminie,” he said before he turned around and met his gaze with a smile. Jimin felt his eyes water. The older of the two squeezed Jimin’s hand before he let go and patted his head. “You shouldn’t worry about me so much okay. And it wasn’t your fault,” he said with a stern expression. He looked behind his dongsaeng to find the other members with concerned looks on their faces. “I’ll be okay! Stop being so gloomy!” he said with a grin before he turned around and walked out the door.
“Will he, hyung?” Jungkook asked with pout as he turned his head to look at Seokjin. The eldest just smiled.
“Of course, it’s our Hobi!” he said whole-heartedly.
“Who do you think it is?” Namjoon asked and everyone’s eyes sparkled as they seemed to have the same idea, save Jimin who seemed to still be staring the door down with a mixture of guilt and longing.
“Jimin?” Taehyung asked, “Jimin?” he repeated. “Yah, Jimin!”
“Oh, sorry,” Jimin said distractedly before he turned around and moved to sit back down on the bed.
“We said we’re going to guess who Hoseok’s supposed secret girlfriend is,” Jungkook said excitedly.
“What about someone from Red Velvet?” Namjoon asked, “He does always say they’re his favourite. And he has been learning a lot of their dances lately.”
“A lot of their fans say that,” Yoongi said with a raised eyebrow, “And we’ve never even properly met them before. It’s probably someone we worked with.”
“Someone from Gfriend?” Taehyung suggested and the older shrugged. Jimin rolled his eyes.
“What about Jimin?” Seokjin said and Jimin froze.
“What about me?” he said nervously.
“No idiot, Jimin from ASC,” he continued with rolled eyes. Jimin turned his head away from the members and let out a sigh of relief.
“Ah! He did get a long really well with Moonbyul-noona from Mamamoo when we hosted together,” Taehyung said as he stroked his chin, “They even danced together backstage,” he said excitedly as he glanced at the other members. “I mean, I saw them talking alone and everything!”
“Are you sure you’re not just imagining things?”
“I mean they probably exchanged contacts before! Don’t you remember?! They talked to each other backstage at Kcon too!”
“That’s just talking,” Yoongi said with a raised eyebrow.
“Well, my bet’s on Moonbyul-noona,” he said, determined. A few more minutes of debates when Seokjin noticed how quiet one of the members were being.
“Jimin-ah, do you really think it’s your fault?” Seokjin asked suddenly. Everyone turned their attention to Jimin. “It’s not, okay? Hoseok said so himself and he knew what he was getting into. He has to face the consequences himself. It’s not like you gave him the hickey yourself,” he added nonchalantly and Jimin nearly flinched. “Not that it’s Hobi’s girlfriend’s fault. I think they just need to be more careful next time.”
“I can’t believe Hobi-hyung has a girlfriend,” Taehyung stated before he let out a sigh, “Who knew he’d be the first out of all of us? I personally though Jimin would be first.” Jimin nearly laughed at the irony of the situation.
“I hope he’s okay,” Jungkook said quietly and the rest silently agreed.
A few rooms away, Hoseok stood in front of their managers, who seemed to discuss different methods of damage control with Bang Sihyuk PD on speaker phone.
“Hoseok-ah?” their CEO said.
“Yes, sir?” Hoseok responded a little warily.
“Please do inform us of these things to at least give a warning. And you could’ve told us before you left the house, one of the stylists would have been sent over to help you cover it up better,” he said sternly.
“I realise that, PD-nim, I’m sorry,” he said with his head angled downwards to the floor, “I didn’t think it would be this bad. I didn’t even want to tell anyone for a few more months. My parents don’t even know.” He heard a sigh from the other end of the phone.
“Alright, we have no choice but to admit you are in a relationship. Do you understand?”
“Yes,” he said with a nod and his managers looked at him with sympathy.
“We will however respect your wishes and refuse to reveal their identity,” he stated and Hoseok gave a quiet thank you before he heard another sigh come from the man on the phone.
“Hope-ah, please be more careful next time. Don’t forget about your image and the affect it might have on those around you, okay?”
“Yes, PD-nim.”
After they worked out a few more details with the managers and confirmed the situation with the main dancer, the PD finally decided to satisfy his curiosity.
“Now, who is it? Anyone I know?” he teased.
“Uhh, I don’t think they would want anyone to know just yet-“
“Okay, fine fine, I understand,” he said with a hint of frustration, “What company do they work for?”
“Uhm-I still don’t-“
“Yah, Hope-ah, at least tell us a little more about her besides the fact she’s an idol and you’ve been dating for a few months.”
“They’re a dancer,” he admitted awkwardly, “And they sing really well?” The managers and PD laughed at his embarrassed tone.
“Hope-ah, seeing as she’s an idol, I’d assume that much,” he said and Hoseok could almost see the grin on the PD’s face.
“Okay, I won’t ask anymore. But I expect more information in the future alright?” he asked but before Hoseok could respond, he let out a laugh. “Congratulations, Hoseok-ah. I wish you happiness. You treat her right okay?”
“Thank you, PD-nim,” he said in sincerity as he bowed his head to both the managers and the phone. “Thank you, managers.”
“Right right,” Sejin said with a sigh, “You should head back to your members. They must be worried about you.”
“Yes, okay, thank you, again,” Hoseok said with another bow before he turned around and left the room. He let out a long breath of relief and leaned against the closed door, suddenly even more thankful for the company he was in right now. He walked back towards his own room and raised an eyebrow when he heard what seemed to be a shouting match happening inside his room. He recognised a number of idol names being thrown in the air before he knocked and a wave of silence hit the room. He stood there awkwardly as he heard the door being opened in nearly lightning speed.
“Hyung!” Taehyung said excitedly as he pulled Hoseok in for a hug, the door closed behind them.
“Are you okay?” Jungkook said worriedly as he stood up in a rush, the other members about to follow behind him.
“I’m fine,” he said with a wide grin, “I mean, they are going to announce I’m in a relationship,” he added as he scratched the back of his head but when he noticed the terrified look on Jimin’s face he quickly added, “But they won’t reveal who it is. I kind of refused to tell them.”
“Are you really okay?” Jimin asked quietly as he walked up to the man.
“Yeah, actually,” he responded with a sincere smile. “And I guess it’s kind of nice. I mean now they know I’m taken and hiding that was kind of a pain.”
“Now are you going to tell us who it is?” Seokjin asked with a grin.
“Nope, sorry,” he said as he walked over to the bed.
“This is unfair, hyung,” Jungkook said with a pout.
“We’re supposed to be family!” Taehyung added and Hoseok rolled his eyes.
“My parents don’t even know yet,” he said and a wave of realisation hit him. “Oh crap, I should go call them and warn them beforehand,” he said quickly as he pulled out his phone and made his way to the balcony. The other members meanwhile decided to go back to their little guessing game. Jimin sat in the middle as he awkwardly listened to their members list the people they think would be a good match for their Hoseok.
The phone call went smoothly and Hoseok was relieved to hear his parents excited for him and though he refused to reveal a name for them, much to their dismay, he ultimately agreed to tell them in person whenever he could visit next. They seemed satisfied enough with that and wished him well and happiness and good luck for their upcoming concert. As he hung up the phone however, he received several texts from different friends and a couple missed calls.
“Hoseok-ah!” Namjoon yelled, “They just released an official announcement!” he said and Hoseok sighed. He walked back inside as Namjoon’s voice filled the room. “Although the circumstances of the reveal of this information was unfortunate and we apologise in advance for being unprepared for such a situation, we’d like to officially confirm that yes, our J-hope is in a relationship. Please refrain from asking invasive questions and respect our main dancer’s privacy. He is happily involved with someone and we would like to ask for your respect and well wishes for J-hope and his relationship. We will refrain from revealing who he is involved with and ask that you do not ask any questions regarding this person. Thank you.”
“Do you think I should tweet something?” Hoseok asked as he scrolled through his twitter feed. “People are going crazy,” he said in slight surprise.
“I mean, what are you going to say?” Yoongi asked with a sigh as he began to receive texts from other friends about Hoseok as well.
“My mom is asking about you too,” Taehyung said with a laugh. Hoseok’s cheeks turned a shade of red as he continued to listen and read to people’s reactions of this sudden news reveal.
“#OurHopeisTaken is trending on twitter,” Yoongi said in an amused tone and Hoseok laughed before he shifted his gaze to Jimin who seemed to be completely immersed in reading what fans were saying about the announcement.
“Jiminie?” Hoseok said as he sat next to the younger. Jimin jumped in surprise but grinned at the other. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I guess a lot of people are more supportive than I thought,” he said with a smile.
“Good,” he responded and both men stared at each other, filled with a sense of relief and a kind of reassurance. Baby steps.
“Of course they would be, it’s ARMY,” Namjoon said casually as he continued to scroll down his screen and the others let out a noise of agreement. Hoseok smiled before he decided he should probably post something to at least confirm the announcement himself. He took a few selfies before he sat down and rewrote a tweet nearly a hundred times before he finally decided on what exactly to say.
‘Thank you for all the support! Don’t worry, ARMY, you’re forever seared into my heart! <3’ and attached were two photos, Hoseok doing a kissing face and another doing a finger heart.
“I’m happy for you, Hope-ah,” Seokjin said suddenly and the others agreed with a somewhat embarrassed look. “I hope we get to meet her soon,” he added and Hoseok just grinned in response.
After the members managed to finally calm down and finished grinding their lead dancer with extremely personal sets of questions which involved a lot of Jimin blushing in the corner and Hoseok completely refusing to answer them, they decided to switch room mates since everyone wanted to share one with Hoseok. After nearly 20 minutes of debates, Namjoon suggested to let the man pick for himself.
“Jimin,” Hoseok said bluntly, “He’s the only one who hasn’t been asking questions,” he reasoned and was relieved when the other members agreed, though somewhat sullenly. The pair watched as the rest of their members walked out of the room and when they watched the door close behind them, they let out a deep breath.
“Oh my God,” Jimin said before Hoseok practically jumped on him and they both landed on the bed. They kissed each other lightly a few times before they decided to simply stare at each other with smiles on their faces. “I’m sorry,” Jimin said with a slight pout, “I really am.”
“I told you, it’s not your fault. I should’ve been more careful.”
“So should I.”
“Well it’s both our faults then,” the older stated, “But it’s okay now okay?”
“Okay,” Jimin responded before Hoseok leaned forward and planted a kiss on his boyfriend’s nose. The pair smiled and giggled as Hoseok continued to leave kisses all over the other’s face. They spent the next few minutes simply staring at each other, their hands entwined. Jimin began to run his fingers up and down his hyung’s arm when-
“Do you think we should tell the others?” Hoseok blurted out and Jimin froze. “Sorry, I just-I really feel like they should know you know? I mean, it’s them,” he said softly. Jimin shifted his gaze to the ceiling. “I mean if you really don’t want to then it’s okay but I think we should tell them eventually, especially since-“
“Okay,” the younger said and Hoseok practically jumped up from his position.
“What?”
“Okay,” Jimin repeated and laughed at his boyfriend’s look of surprise. “I mean, I’m kind of scared but I don’t like hiding this from them anymore either.”
“Really? Are you sure?” the main dancer asked. Jimin nodded before the other grabbed his face and gave him a long kiss. They parted in more laughter before they decided when and how to tell the rest of their members.
Although the night was filled with reassurances and careful planning, the morning proved to be difficult as the pair felt their nerves get the better of them.
“C’mon Jimin, you can’t expect us to believe Hobi-hyung didn’t tell you anything,” Taehyung whined as the group met up in front of the elevators before they had to head to the concert venue.
“Taehyung-ah, leave him alone,” Seokjin said as he lightly shoved the boy. “Hobi will tell us when he’s ready,” he stated with a nod.
“Thanks, hyung,” Jimin said and felt the eldest ruffle his hair.
“Don’t worry, Jimin-ah, I’m sure Hoseok will tell us all soon so you can stop being so sad about it,” he continued as the group walked into the elevator. Hoseok let out an awkward laugh and Jimin scratched the back of his head nervously. As the group continued to chatter normally, Hoseok’s phone received a message and everyone went quiet.
“Who is it?” Namjoon asked and everyone turned their attention on him. He laughed before he took the phone out of his pocket and stared at the screen. His eyes widened. “So, who is it?”
“N-No one,” he said as he tried to put the phone back in his pocket but not before he received another 3 notifications. He looked at his screen again and Jimin sent him a look of confusion.
“Is it your girlfriend?” Jungkook asked excitedly as his eyes shone.
“I told you it was Moonbyul-noona!” Taehyung yelled out from behind the dancer. Hoseok jumped at the sudden declaration and held the phone against his chest.
“Yah! Who said you could look at my phone without permission?!”
“You were the one holding it up, hyung. I just happened to see it since I was standing behind you,” he explained with a grin.
“Taehuyung-ah, you shouldn’t be doing that to other people,” Seokjin scolded and Hoseok was about to send him a thanks before he added, “But are you sure it was Moonbyul?”
“Hyung!” Hoseok whined but everyone else was far too engrossed in staring at the phone clutched to his chest.
“She was asking to meet him! And that they needed to talk! I told you!”
“Aish, this kid!” Hoseok said before he slapped the back of the younger’s head. “Stop invading other people’s privacy,” he said angrily and as the elevator doors opened, the dancer stormed out, which left a very guilty Taehyung behind with the rest of his members. Hoseok sighed as he stared at his phone.
“Hope-ah, I’m getting a lot of strange messages from people about you.”
“My company is asking questions too.”
“We need to talk.”
“Can we meet soon?”
“Aish,” he said before he rested his hand over his mouth. He looked up and noticed a crowd of photographers and reporters outside that surrounded their van. He closed his eyes and tried to calm himself down.
“Hobi-hyung,” Taehyung called and Hoseok turned his head, “I’m sorry, hyung, I didn’t mean to be invasive. I just-I really did just happen to see it and I got excited is all. I didn’t want to make you mad, hyung,” he said far too quickly and Hoseok sent him a small smile.
“It’s okay, Taehyung-ah, I’m just a little on edge,” he said as he placed a hand behind the other’s neck for reassurance.
“I’m really sorry,” he repeated sadly and Hoseok just sent him another smile and muttered a thanks before he released the younger and let his gaze fall back to Jimin in the back who had his full attention on his phone. He could sense how nervous the younger was and wished he could pull him into a hug and kiss him until they both felt better.
“Hoseok, don’t answer any questions and just head straight for the van, okay?” Sejin said as he appeared next to the group. “Try not to let anything they say get to you okay?”
“Right,” he said and their manager led them outside. The second the doors opened, cameras went off like crazy and Hoseok refused to look at anywhere but their manager’s back.
“Hoseok-ah! Is it true you’re mystery girlfriend is Moonbyul from Mamamoo?!”
“J-hope, do you have anything to say about the different theories people are coming up with about your girlfriend?!”
“Do you have any plans to reveal this girlfriend of yours in the near future?!”
“Hope-ah, do you want to add to what others are saying about this mystery person being a man instead?!”
The last one had Hoseok nearly trip over nothing. He managed to keep his composure but froze when he heard a voice from behind.
“Jimin-ah, what are you doing? Keep going,” he heard Yoongi say and he turned his head and noticed a look of surprise on his boyfriend’s face frozen on the spot. He was about to turn around and grab him but Jungkook lightly pushed him to get into the van. He climbed in, worry evident on his face as he watched Seokjin guide Jimin to follow them into the vehicle.
“Are you okay?” he asked as Jimin climbed in and quickly took a seat next to him.
“Yeah, some of the questions just surprised me is all,” he said quietly and Hoseok placed a hand over his. They clasped hands while they let their shoulders lean against each other and as all the members got into the van and the door shut, they breathed a collective sigh of relief.
“That was more hectic than normal,” Namjoon stated and the others agreed as the van began to drive away from their hotel. “Don’t worry, Hoseok, it’ll blow over soon,” he said. A few minutes later, just when Hoseok began to feel a sense of calm, his phone rang. He sighed as he released his boyfriend’s hand and fiddled with his phone. He stared at the screen in surprise and Jimin sat up as they noticed who was calling. Hoseok hung up and moved to return the phone but it rang yet again. He sighed as he stared at the screen. He looked around and noticed everyone seemed to be either sleeping or engrossed in their own phones. He looked to Jimin and the other simply shrugged so he opted to answer it.
“Hello?”
“Yah! Hope-ah!” a voice shouted and the dancer had to pull the phone away from his ear slightly.
“Noona, your voice is too loud,” he said and Jimin raised his eyebrow at the casual tone he was using.
“Oh sorry,” the voice from the phone said, “But you weren’t responding!” she shouted and Hoseok nearly laughed at his friend.
“I’m on my way to a concert, noona,” he said with a smile. “I’ll talk to you later and we’ll meet up soon, okay?”
“Hoseok-ah, please don’t treat me like a child,” she said but there was a hint of amusement in her tone, “We’ve been trying to meet up for a while now and I think we need to do it sooner than later! Especially after everything,” she said with a sigh.
“I know, I’m sorry,” he said, the guilt surfacing, “I didn’t mean to put you through this, noona,” he continued.
“It’s okay, Hoseok,” she said, “Please take care of yourself, okay? I’ll call you after the concert too,” she said and he could almost see her smile, “Fighting! The girls from Mamamoo send their regards as well!” she shouted excitedly and nearly everyone in the car broke their necks as they turned to look at him. They suddenly felt very invested in Hoseok’s phone call.
“Thank you, you girls too, fighting!” he said before he hung up. He let out a sigh and turned his head to find a wide eyed Jimin. Hoseok was about to ask what was wrong when he glanced around and noticed how everyone seemed to be staring at him.
“I thought you were all asleep!” he said as he shifted his gaze between everyone in the van, including their manager in the front seat.
“Uhm-Hoseok, was that really Moonbyul from Mamamoo?” Sejin asked somewhat carefully.
“I-uhm-“ he was about to continue when the car pulled to a stop. They arrived at the venue and he decided now was the best time to jump out of the van and rush into the building. Jimin stared after him with a pout and the others rolled their eyes as they watched their main dancer gesture for them to hurry up with a series of strange dance moves that eventually got them all laughing.
“We should try to be more supportive of Hoseok-ah, okay?” Namjoon said as they all left the van. The others agreed as they followed their strange member who seemed to still be dancing his way into their dressing rooms. As their rehearsals went by and the time for the concert came to a close, they managed to push the thoughts of Hoseok’s supposed girlfriend to the back of their minds and focus on their performances. As the concert reached it’s end, they said their final thanks and Hoseok held back tears as he noticed the fans’ surprise event for him. They all held banners with the same message on them:
‘We’ll support you forever, J-hope! <3’
“Thank you so much,” he repeated as he continued to throw love hearts and kisses at the audience. “I know a lot has happened recently and it must’ve been hard to come up with such an event so quickly! Thank you so much! I love you all!” He nodded his head as he heard his name being chanted and bowed in thanks. The concert ended on a high note and everyone celebrated as they headed back to their dressing room with the occasional stop to talk to the cameras that waited for them. Hoseok’s continuous good mood rubbed off on everyone else, despite being exhausted and he nearly tackled Jimin into the dressing room as he hugged him.
“Good job tonight, Jiminie!” he said with a wide smile and Jimin felt his cheeks heat up at the sudden form of affection. Hoseok refused to let him go even though they were already in the dressing room and everyone began to prepare to leave.
“Hoseok, you’re going to suffocate Jimin,” Seokjin said with a laugh but Hoseok merely grinned in return before tightening his grip on his boyfriend. “And if you do that any longer, your girlfriend might get jealous,” he joked and Hoseok laughed.
“I really don’t think so,” he said and Jimin grinned before he tried to push the older off. When Hoseok finally released him, the stylists moved to remove any remaining makeup on the members before they changed into their normal clothes. An hour later, a loud ringtone drained out the excited chatter that was exchanged around the room and Hoseok noticed that it was his phone. He suddenly remembered the phone call and quickly answered it, a smile wide.
“Noona~” he said excitedly and the others couldn’t help but smile at the bright mood their dancer seemed to be unleashing.
“Hello! Did it go well?” she asked and Hoseok was about to answer when he noticed the anticipated looks from the members and staff around the room. He rolled his eyes before he walked out and the last thing everyone could hear was a loud ’Yes! It was so much fun!’ and laughter that echoed from the hallway. Despite the happy mood Hoseok seemed to be in, Jimin didn’t understand why he suddenly had this irritating feeling at the bottom of his stomach when he watched his boyfriend leave the room. A few minutes passed and Hoseok’s loud voice could be heard from the outside yet again.
“Yes, yes, don’t worry, noona! Everything will work out! I’ll see you soon! Fighting!”
“Hobi-hyung, you’re in a really happy mood,” Jungkook said as the main dancer walked in. The response he got was a big hug and a ‘Ah! Jungkookie! Our maknae is so cute!’
The ride back to the hotel was filled with comfortable silence as everyone relaxed over the concert being over and relished in knowing they would be back in their dorms in a day for even more rest before their schedules start up again. Their positive moods continued when they noticed no reporters or photographers waiting for them outside their hotel. They happily walked back up into their rooms with smiles across their faces. Once Hoseok and Jimin stepped inside theirs, they pulled each other into a tight hug and Hoseok began to attack the other’s face with kisses while Jimin simply laughed at how ridiculous his boyfriend was.
“I’m happy you’re happy, hyung,” Jimin stated and Hoseok grinned. “Wanna eat some ramen before bed?”
As the pair readied themselves for the food, Hoseok’s phone went off again. Jimin narrowed his eyes at the device before Hoseok checked his phone.
“Who is it?”
“It’s Moonbyul noona again,” he said with furrowed brows, “She said to check the news on Naver?”
Jimin pulled out his own phone and opened the app to find it filled with articles about Hoseok.
“BTS’ J-hope and Mamamoo’s Moonbyul secret rendezvous after hours”
“J-hope and Moonbyul’s secret relationship confirmed!”
“BTS and Mamamoo’s secret collaboration or secret relationship?!”
“What is this?” Jimin asked in confusion. “What even happened?” He skimmed through a few of the articles and sighed. “Anonymous sources revealed they overheard J-hope in conversation with girlfriend over when they would be able to meet and it sounded like they’ve been regularly talking about doing so,” he read aloud and Hoseok groaned.
“All we did was talk about when we could talk again!” he whined. “This is not what I intended to happen at all,” he added as he collapsed onto the bed. “And now I’m dragging noona into this mess,” he pouted. Jimin frowned before he laid on his side next to him on the bed and kissed his hyung’s temple. “Thanks, Jiminie,” he said with a smile before he leaned forward and pressed a kiss against the other’s lips.
“I didn’t know you were so close with Moonbyul-noona, hyung,” Jimin said before he could stop himself. A light blush was evident on his face when Hoseok sent him a confused look. “Sorry! I didn’t mean to- I mean I know you’re already worried enough and I just-“
“Yah, Jiminie, are you jealous?”
“No!” he answered far too quickly and immediately turned over so his back faced the other. Hoseok smiled before he practically launched himself on top of the younger. Jimin yelled as the other began to tickle him and eventually they fell into a fit of giggles.
“Jiminie, you don’t have to be jealous you know,” Hoseok said before he kissed his boyfriend on the forehead, “Noona is just one of my friends. We talk a lot about dancing and rapping and how maybe one day we can do a collaboration together,” he said with a grin. “She’s very talented and we figured we would work well together,” he said but noticed the dejected look on Jimin’s face, “But I only think of her as a Noona! And besides, I’m already madly in love with someone else,” he continued and Jimin couldn’t stop the smile that appeared on his face. “He’s really handsome and smart and he makes me smile and laugh a lot.”
“Aish, stop it!” he whined as he tried to cover his face.
“He’s also the best dancer I know and he has the most beautiful voice,” he continued with a smile, “He’s also a really good kisser and he’s got quite the body,” he whispered with a grin. Jimin laughed as he tried to push the older off him. “And sometimes he doesn’t even know how great he is so I want to keep telling him,” he added with a serious tone. Jimin finally met his gaze and felt his heart melt. “I really love him you know,” he added and Jimin pulled him down and wrapped his arms around his neck. He pressed their lips together and pulled away, his eyes left slightly teary.
“I really love you too, you know,” Jimin said with a grin. “I’m so lucky to have you, Hoseokie-hyung,” he admitted before they kissed yet again.
“Let’s tell them tomorrow,” Hoseok stated, “We’ll let the others know once we’re back in the dorms.”
“Are you sure?”
“I want to share this with the people I love, Jiminie. I want them to know how happy I am and how happy you make me.”
“I do too,” he said and the smiles on their faces only further confirmed their feelings. Although their ramens were left forgotten, they certainly thought it was worth the impromptu make out session that lasted hours into the night and eventually lead to something even more.
The next morning, the pair glowed.
“Jeez, Jiminie, what happened last night? You look like you’ve been born again,” Taehyung stated as they all gathered in the managers’ room to confirm their schedule and plans for the week.
“It was just a good night is all,” Jimin stated though the blush across his face was obvious. His friend narrowed his eyes and turned to look at Jungkook who seemed to think the same about Hoseok.
“What did you two talk about last night?” he asked suddenly and the rest of the members turned their attention to the couple in sheer curiosity. Jimin fumbled with his words as he tried to come up with something but felt too embarrassed to even respond.
“I told him who I’m dating,” Hoseok stated nonchalantly and received a chorus of ‘What?!’ in response. Multiple questions were spouted across the room and Hoseok just grinned at Jimin. “I promise I’ll tell all of you when we’re back home,” he said and the others halted. The pair’s glowing mood seemed to rub off on the other members and they were now even more excited to get home with the knowledge that their Hoseok would finally reveal everything.
“Are you sure, Hoseok-ah? We don’t want to force you into telling us, okay?” Seokjin asked in worry but Hoseok just replied with a smile and a pat on the back.
“I want you all to know how happy this person makes me,” he said simply and let his gaze drift back to Jimin who continued to have the biggest smile on his face.
“Man, when are we leaving?! C’mon, Kookie!” Taehyung said as he dragged the maknae out of the room and rushed towards the elevators.
“Yah, there’s no point in running, we’re still going to arrive when the plane is scheduled to,” Yoongi shouted but couldn’t hide his own eagerness as he only slightly rushed after his dongsaengs. Namjoon placed a hand on Hoseok’s shoulder and nodded at him as he went after Yoongi to help him stop the others meanwhile Seokjin stood behind the couple and stared at the pair. He raised an eyebrow when he noticed the look they sent to each other when the others ran ahead and if he also noticed the way Hoseok’s hand lingered as he held Jimin’s to drag him towards the elevator, he kept it to himself.
From the hotel to the airport and from the airport to the plane, the maknae line’s excitement increased with the knowledge they’d be told when they reached home whereas Jimin’s nervousness increased as time passed and it didn’t help that Hoseok was placed on the opposite side of the plane while he was stuck next to Jungkook who couldn’t stop talking about Hoseok’s supposed girlfriend.
“Yah, Jungkookie, are you really this excited for Hobi-hyung?” Jimin said as he scratched the back of his head.
“Of course,” he said nonchalantly, “Hyung is very important to me. If he found someone who makes him happy then I’m happy.” Jimin’s heart warmed. “And if I find out who that person is, I want to thank them personally for it,” he said with a grin, “Wouldn’t you?”
“Definitely,” Jimin said with a smile.
“Now, are you sure he hasn’t said anything about Moonbyul noona?” he said with a sudden serious expression across his face and the older just rolled his eyes and shifted his gaze to Hoseok who seemed to be happily sleeping on Yoongi’s shoulder.
The flight felt like it lasted for days but once they landed, it felt like mere minutes before the pair suddenly found themselves standing in front of their members who were seated on their dining table.
“Hoseok, are you really sure?” Seokjin asked again and Taehyung was tempted to smack his hyung on the arm but held back as Hoseok shot back another bright smile.
“I already decided,” he said with a laugh.
“Jimin, are you okay? You’re sweating a lot. You look more nervous than Hoseok does,” Namjoon stated and Jimin just laughed awkwardly and refused to meet the eyes of the others.
“Okay,” Hoseok started and all eyes shifted to him, “So I’ve been dating this person for nearly a year and they really mean a lot to me okay?” he continued, “We never discussed anything like a relationship before until one day we met up and something just clicked,” he said with a bright smile. He glanced at Jimin, who had his head down while his hands covered his cheeks as he recalled that very day.
“Hyung, have you ever kissed a girl before?” Jimin asked as he and Hoseok laid next to each other on the older’s bed.
“Yes, but I was just a kid,” the other responded. “It was all very school girl crush type of thing.”
“I guess I haven’t really either then,” Jimin admitted, “Well, at least not for real. Not with someone I love.”
“Yah, Jiminie, you’re still young you know? and what’s this all about?”
“I don’t know, I just- I just think it would be really nice to be with someone you know?” he said with a pout. Hoseok met his gaze and they stared at each other for a few seconds before Hoseok grinned.
“But you have me, Jiminie!” he yelled before he jumped on top of his dongsaeng.
“Aish! Hyung, you’re so heavy!” he said but couldn’t stop himself from letting out a laugh. The pair continued to laugh with Hoseok on top of the other but stopped once they met each other’s gaze. They both had wide smiles across their face and Hoseok picked this as the perfect opportunity to pinch the younger’s cheeks. “Hyung,” he whined, “I’m not a kid anymore.”
“You’re right. You’re not,” Hoseok cooed, “but you’re still my Jiminie!” he stated as he rested his hands against the other’s cheeks. Jimin smiled and they stared at each other in comfortable silence.
As seconds passed, Jimin felt something stir in the bottom of his stomach and all of a sudden, thoughts of how handsome and beautiful, in every sense of the word, his hyung was drifted across his mind. He noticed the different marks on his face, how bright his smile was, the dimples on his cheek and the way his eyes lit up and he felt like he even further understood why ARMY referred to him as “sunshine.” His heart rate increased when an overwhelming fondness for the man filled his chest.
“Hyung, don’t move, okay?” he said quietly and before Hoseok could respond, Jimin leaned forward and placed a light kiss on the other’s lips. Hoseok widened his eyes as the other pulled back but softened his expression when he noticed the embarrassed look on Jimin’s face.
“Jiminie,” the older muttered and their gaze drifted to the others' lips and then to each other’s eyes. “Don’t move,” he said with a grin before he leaned down and their lips met again.
“We’ve been hiding it for a while because we’ve been terrified of what other people would think, what they’d say, what you guys would say,” he said sadly.
“But hyung-“ Taehyung started but Seokjin rested his hand on the other’s arm to stop him.
“Let him finish, Taehyungie.”
“But we were happy,” Hoseok continued “Yeah, we had a few fights here and there about it but we really do care about each other a lot. I just hope you guys can support us no matter what and you’ll be happy for us because this is honestly the happiest I have ever been,” his eyes teared and the others looked at him with worry. “Please don’t hate me and don’t hate this person,” he pleaded as he used his sleeve to wipe his eyes. Seokjin had the urge to pull their main dancer into a hug in comfort but stopped himself when he noticed Jimin taking the other boy’s hand. The pair interlocked their fingers while everyone watched the scene in confusion. Hoseok took a deep breath and tightened his grip on his boyfriend’s hand and raised it. He flashed a smile to everyone before he kissed the back of Jimin’s hand. A few seconds of silence before Taehyung jumped from his seat.
“Wait, What?!” he exclaimed and the pair winced at the sudden raise in volume. “You and Jiminie?!” he asked and it felt like the entire room froze. Jimin lowered his head and focused on his shoes but kept his boyfriend’s hand in a death grip. Hoseok looked between each of the members nervously as silence filled the room. After a few seconds, or hours, no one could tell the difference at this point, the pair’s roommate voiced a concern.
“Please tell me you didn’t have sex in our room,” Taehyung suddenly pleaded and everyone shifted their gaze to the distressed man. Jimin widened his eyes and stared at his friend in disbelief.
“What?! N-no!” he said, his face red.
“Oh my God, you did!” Taehyung said as he covered his mouth. “Please tell me I wasn’t in the room while it happened.”
“Yah! Who do you think we are?!” Jimin yelled but the blush across his face seemed to lessen the threat in his voice and expression.
“I feel violated.”
“Aish, I told you we didn’t!”
“Jimin, Hoseok,” Seokjin said as he stood from his seat. The rest of the group watched as Jin made his way in front of the pair, a determined expression across his face. Hoseok took a deep breath as the eldest placed one hand on his shoulder and the other on Jimin’s.
“Hyung?” Jimin asked, fear and confusion evident in his voice as they both looked at their eldest’s face.
“Thank you for telling us,” Jin said with a wide smile, “That was really brave of you-“ but before he could continue, he was engulfed in a hug by the two dancers.
“Wah,” Jimin whined as he felt his eyes tear up.
“Hey, it’s okay,” Seokjin whispered as he wrapped his arms around the two.
“Thanks, hyung,” Hoseok mumbled before he pulled away though Jimin refused to let go.
“You guys are idiots,” Yoongi said before he stood up and moved behind his hyung. “Do you really think we’d hate you for something like this?”
“Hoseok, you’ve known us for years,” Namjoon said with a pout as he followed after Yoongi.
“I’m sorry, I just- I didn’t know how you’d feel,” their friend responded shyly.
“This doesn’t change how we feel about you, okay?” Namjoon said firmly, “You’re still our Hope,” he said with a wide smile and Hoseok couldn’t help but let go of Jimin’s hand and pull them both into a tight hug.
“Thank you,” he said, “Really, thank you,” he repeated and the other two patted his back in comfort.
“Kookie?” Taehyung said loudly and everyone turned around to find the maknae still in his seat as he stared at them with furrowed brows. “What’s wrong?” Taehyung asked as he glanced between Jungkook and the other members nervously. Another wave of silence hit the room.
“Jungkookie,” Jimin said as he finally released Seokjin and made a move towards him. “Is this- are you okay with this? With us?”
“Hyung,” Jungkook said sternly as he directed his attention to Hoseok instead. “You’re happy, right?”
“Yes,” he responded.
“And Jimin-hyung treats you right, right?” he said in a serious tone.
“Yes,” he repeated and they all stared at him in confusion as he stood up and walked in front of Jimin. His chest was puffed out and he narrowed his eyes at his hyung.
“If you make Hosbi-hyung cry, I’ll never forgive you,” he said with a nod and everyone stared at him, dumbfounded.
“Yah!” Jimin said as he smacked their maknae’s shoulder, “Who do you think you’re talking to?!” Jungkook grinned and scratched the back of his head. “Don’t scare me like that!”
“I’m just trying to protect hyung,” he admitted with a laugh as Jimin continued to smack his arm. The rest of the members let out a sigh of relief.
“Aish,” Suga said as he shook his head but couldn’t keep the smile off his face.
“Ahh, this means our Jiminie has a boyfriend!” Taehyung shouted excitedly as he jumped on Jimin’s back and wrapped his arms around the other’s neck. Jimin held onto his friend’s legs that were now wrapped around his waist. “Aigoo, our Jiminie,” he teased as he patted Jimin’s head.
“Yah!” Jimin shouted as Tae proceeded to pinch his cheeks . “I’ll drop you!” he threatened and Hoseok laughed. Jimin diverted his attention to his boyfriend, who had a wide smile across his face and a hand over his mouth. The younger’s heart warmed at the sight. He stared in awe as the skin around Hoseok’s eyes crinkled and his dimples were as clear as day. He’d never get tired of that. He didn’t even notice Taehyung let him go or that the rest of his hyungs stared at him, amused.
“Jiminie,” Taehyung said suddenly, “I know he’s pretty but you’ve been staring at him for a while now.” Jimin blinked once. Twice.
“Here, I took a picture, I can send it to you if you want,” Jungkook said as he held up his phone in front of him. “It lasts longer.” Jimin felt his cheeks burn up as he realised everyone had his eyes on him, Hoseok included.
“Aish, shut up!” he whined as he covered his face with his hands.
“I mean, I have some pretty sexy pictures of hyung in here. I can send those too if you like,” Jungkook admitted and Jimin punched his arm.
“Ah, this explains why Hoseok hyung is your wallpaper on your phone,” Taehyung stated and Jimin widened his eyes.
“Shut up!” he yelled as he moved to cover his friend’s mouth.
“What?” Hoseok said with a raised eyebrow.
“Haven’t you seen it, hyung?” Jungkook said, “He said you were the one who kept changing it but I guess-“
“Jungkook-ah!” Jimin yelled, embarrassed. “Aish, why am I the only one being teased here?! Hoseokie is in this relationship too!”
“Hoseokie?” Namjoon said loudly and Jimin nearly smacked himself. “So we’ve dropped the formalities already?” he teased and Hoseok just grinned.
“It just slipped out,” Jimin said defensively, “Hyung lets me do it sometimes,” he admitted and was met with a wave of ‘Aigooo~’ and ‘Daebak~’. Jimin just pouted before he stomped over to his boyfriend and grabbed his hand. “Let’s go!”
“Jiminie,” Hoseok started with a laugh, “They just like getting you worked up,” he said and Jimin responded with another pout. “It’s because you’re so cute, my Jiminie!” he said as he placed his hands on either side of Jimin’s face as if it wasn’t red enough already.
“Aigoo!” Taehyung said for the millionth time.
“You know, I don’t know how to say this but this is kind of disgusting,” Suga said as Hoseok squished the other’s cheeks.
“Hyung,” Jimin whined and Hoseok just smiled before he planted a quick kiss on the other’s lips.
“My eyes!” Jungkook said as he covered his face.
“Wah! I caught it!” Taehyung said with a grin as he held up his phone. Jimin yelled before he ran after his friend while Hoseok made a mental note to ask Taehyung to send him the photo.
The rest of the day resulted in even more teasing, much to Jimin’s dismay, though he couldn’t deny the happiness he felt about not having to hide anything from his members anymore. His heart warmed when Hoseok wasn’t afraid to kiss him in front of the others despite the fact that it did lead to more embarrassing conversations and horribly angled photos from Tae. They know that eventually, they would have to end up dealing with, not just the management but the rest of the world too. For now though, even if it just lasted for a little longer, they were happy.
