Work Text:
The music was loud.
Not loud enough that people had to shout.
Just loud enough that converstations blurred together into one constant buzz.
Some were playing cards.
Someone was trying to convince someone else that pineapple should never be on pizza.
Normal.
Iroha had been sitting perfectly fine on the couch.
Until...
"Truth or dare?"
...
She immediately looked away.
"No."
"Please."
Okay now it was unfair.
Because Wonhee was now looking at Iroha with a pout.
With that,
Iroha's resolve was gone.
"Fine. Dare."
Someone from their friend group shoved
a bowl filled with folded pieces of paper into her hands.
To this day, the appearance of the bowl remain mysterious.
"Pick."
Okay, maybe dare wasn't the best choice.
Iroha picked one anyway.
Unfolded it, then read it.
"Absolutely not."
"What is it?"
Iroha had to inhale sharply before turning it around.
Let your gf/bf or best friend decorate you however they want.
Silence.
Only for a second.
Someone whistled.
No clue why.
Wonhee?
She just smiled.
Not a normal one.
The kind of smile that made Iroha regret every single life decision that led to this moment.
..
"This is your dream come true, isn't it?"
"I have no clue what you're talking about."
"I know that smile."
"No you don't."
"Yes I do."
"No you-... You're stalling."
And just like that, Iroha had been caught.
...
Wonhee quietly stands and walks towards the corner of the room.
The room fell silent
Everyone is about to watch Iroha problably turn into a walking canvas for Wonhee.
She crouches down.
Then...
Pulls out a tote bag.
Iroha just stared.
At this point she had already accepted her fate.
"You prepared for this?"
"Well... Yeah."
"...why."
"Well what if you got the dare and I wasn't ready."
...
"...just come here and get it over with."
Wonhee walks over and starts taking things out one by one.
Sticker packs.
Headbands.
More headbands.
...
Animal headbands.
Blue cardigan.
"How much stuff do you have in there?"
"...a reasonable amount."
"Doesn't look reasonable to me."
...
"I disagree."
...
After finally getting everything out.
Wonhee carefully looked through the pile.
She picked up the dog ear headbands.
Paused.
Put them back.
Iroha tilted her head slightly.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm thinking."
"About?"
"The vision."
Wonhee crossed her arms.
Looked at Iroha.
Then back at the pile.
Then back at Iroha.
"Your face doesn't match the dog ears."
"What does that even mean?"
"So we have to find an animal ear that does match."
"And here I was hoping I wouldn't have to wear any."
Wonhee looks through the pile again.
After a while, she picked up the cat ears.
"This one is good."
She held them up to Iroha.
"Wear it."
Iroha genuinely didn't want to but she wore it anyway.
Maybe it was because a dare is a dare or maybe she just loves her girlfriend a lot.
So maybe she does want to wear them.
The next thing Wonhee pulled out was some stickers.
Luckily it wasn't mustache stickers or anything.
Just stars, bread, blueberry's.
Some were put onto Iroha's cheeks, both.
Some on the forehead.
There was also some on her hair.
It must've been a pain to take those off.
The sticker arc continues longer than anyone thought it would.
Mostly because Wonhee kept stepping back to admire her work of art.
Often times after placing something small.
Like placing a small star shaped sticker near Iroha's eye.
Stepping back to check it.
Then moving it slightly.
After about fifty minutes or so.
The decorating session that was specially for Wonhee has ended.
Wonhee stepped back after placing the last sticker.
...
...
"Cute."
Someone hands Iroha a mirror.
...
...
"How is it?"
...
"I look ridiculous."
"You look adorable."
"That's not helping."
"It wasn't supposed to."
...
And somewhere in the crowd.
Someone takes a photo and sends it to the groupchat.
Well I wish the best for them cause Iroha might come for them.
Nevertheless,
She'll problably keep it forever.
