It had been so long since he saw them. He forgot every little thing about them. It didn't mean anything to him.
It did. He wouldn't admit it in any form,
or Egypt reconnects once again with his 'friend'
A knock one or twice is heard— He could sense that the person behind the door was not any ordinary person Egypt had in mind. The doorknob slowly turns as his formal shoes make the entrance for him.
"its been too long, I know you hate me then and even now". As they spoke;their voice was quiet: a voice of admission . Sincere even to Egypt's surprise. He nodded and continued to sign paperwork, quietly with the weight of the arabs just as he used to.
"I don't know what to say". Egypt's voice stammered as he responded; he wanted to say more but everything had been bottled up from the last occasion between the both of them.He slowly walked up to them and pulled them in a hug. The smell of his cologne clinged onto Libya, somewhat breathing in their atmosphere around him.
"I missed you" . He says; no remark on Libya's end. Just a affirming nod. He stares at their current appearance: their curly hair pointing out alongside his fashion sense didn't change alot. It was only a decade after all.
"I assume you had something to say?". Egypt speaks in a reassuring voice. Libya stared off to the side. "I just feel uneasy about leaving you in the first place— surely you never cared ".
"I didn't care, I did to an extent, I don't understand why you'd ever think that. " he sighs as he lights up a cigar and offers Libya one— an attempt in which he failed to do so. He takes a lengthy drag and stares off to the side, slowly his hand tipping off the ash of the cigar in the tray. Libya moved their hand across and brushed it against his. Egypt squeezes Libya's hand, feeling the warmth as it enclosed on his hand.
"You don't ever have to be rough all the time". They said. Following it up with more topics, distracting Egypt generally.Egypt glares at him, unsure what to make out of that gesture.
"I know" . A faint smile appeared, showing his teeth ever so slightly. Libya looked at the ground for a slight moment before averting their gaze right on Egypt's.
"I still don't understand you. I can't". Libya somewhat felt uneasy. As if Egypt hadn't changed.
He didn't. For the most part.
" You don't need to, I just want us to be on good terms again". Egypt's shaky voice got caught up in Libya's head. Egypt tried to force a smile but he'd rather be dull.
Libya furrowed a brow at his voice.
It wasn't the first time he had heard that kind of tone from Egypt.
nonetheless, things seemed to get better—wether it was for the worst or the best.
