Work Text:
Pilla lifted their hand up, ready to see their purple skin before them.
It stared at it, a long heartbeat, before dropping it back down.
That wasn’t their hand. It was white, fluffy, and had soft toes.
Pilla stepped- no hopped- back, eyes wide in horror. It opened its mouth to speak, and a quiet squeak was all that pierced the silence.
They turned around, nose snuffling, as they looked for the object that made them this way. Hopefully Zira still-
Pilla sighed, the sound a soft ‘Whuff’ that echoed in the manor room. Opposite from them, below the table where the amulet was, was a guinea pig, sniffing the ground despondently.
They squeaked again, the sound louder, and the guinea pig- Zira- looked up, squeaking loudly in response.
She hopped, the movement strange, but Pilla was pretty sure it was a happy one?
It bounded over to the table, and its partner underneath it. If only one of them became a pigeon, or at least something that could climb.
