This is a very specific fic request, and I'm looking for someone who wants to write this particular version of the premise. The core elements listed below are intentional and important to the story, rather than suggestions for remixing.
If the idea inspires you to create your own AU, that's genuinely flattering! 🥹 However, I'm specifically looking for someone to write the story as outlined here, so please don't change the core Miraculous assignments, origin of Izuku's Miraculous, or major premise.
TL;DR: Inspiration is appreciated, but I am looking for someone to write the Candyland exactly as described. 😭 please dont change my Candyland by adding chocolate when its vanilla, its vanilla for a reason 😔🥸

I have been possessed and mauled by this idea and I need someone with actual writing skills to bring it to life because I KNOW this deserves the full 50+ chapter, 100k+ word slow burn treatment. I feel it in my bones. MY SOUL. As black and dark as that is btw. Cause im so edgy like that..heh. anyways.
OKAY looking back at this now, the 50+ chapters and 100k+ words feels like a lot but yall are up at 3am reading yaoi/yuri/whatever the fuck straight ship stories are called, and not sleeping anyways so I think that doesn't count as you losing sleep over it lowkey cause you're not sleeping to begin with.. no? Title idea: something like “The Hero Behind the Mask” or “A Miraculous Miracle” (idk I’m bad at titles 😭 but if anyone thinks those titles are amazing then just forget about what I said because im lowkey fire at titles fr)
Basically my entire idea in rambled thoughts, also sorry about the unprofessional grammar...:
I had the idea for an mha miraculous ladybug au where Izuku is Ladybug and Monoma is Cat Noir 😔🙏 their identities are secret and NO ONE knows abt them. I guess Izuku would go by Misterbug and Monoma would just be Cat Noir. All might would be the guardian before he hands that role over to Izuku. Its basically just Miraculous but with bnha characters instead. 😭

Quirks can still be a thing, but people who are akumatized get like powers that cant be defeated or stopped by quirks and thats what makes the miraculous so powerful. In this au, izuku would be quirkless and would get his miraculous after All might leaves him on the roof after telling him he cant be a hero. The fact that he even gets the ladybug miraculous is actually a mistake because All might's dumb ahh was keeping it in his pockets and it fell out. But anyways, a quirkless Izuku gets the ladybug miraculous and doesnt go to UA. He only gets one for all later on in the story because All might felt like MISTERBUG was fit to be a holder, not izuku himself. Infact, he still doesnt know Izuku is Misterbug or that outside the miraculous, he's quirkless. Because in this au, All might never changed his opinion on wether or not a quirkless person could make it as a hero. Instead of telling All might his real name, Izuku gives All Might the name "Akatani Mikumo" as his fake civilian name (his prototype name!!)
But yeah, Izuku goes to a regular boring high school, is bullied for being quirkless while his entire class fanboys/girls over Misterbug not knowing its actually him. Thats also why Izuku sees him and Misterbug (Mikumo) as two seperate people. Mikumo is much stronger, confident and braver. Mikumo is highly authoritative, commanding, self-assured, exceptionally calm, collected, and laser-focused. He makes highly adaptable, split-second tactical decisions, is charismatic, firm, and sharp-witted with puns and banter. Izuku deeply struggles with low self-esteem and self-doubt. Is clumsy, rambles "creepily", is powerless, prone to panic, and over-analyzes problems. Mikumo is everything Izuku thinks he cant be as himself.
ANYWAYSSS Monoma can take Izuku's spot in class 1-A and like, the events of UA would happen as they usually do, but with added Akumazation procedures. BACK TO THAT THO. Akumatized villains are immune to quirks. Aizawa's erasure doesnt work on them, and they cant be canceled out, not even by All for One. Strength-based heroes can’t overpower the magic. Support gear can only delay them, and villains with copied/stolen quirks can’t exploit them. Thats why only the Miraculous can help and fix the damages caused by the Akumas. Any damage done by heroes and their quirks cannot be fixed by a lucky charm either.
NOW FOR DA LOVEE LORE 😈😈 to get my Monoma x Izuku filling in....idk 💀outside of them being Misterbug and Cat noir, since Izuku doesnt go to UA, theres not many reasons for them to interact. But i have a feeling that Izuku would be able admire Neito for his stragey and quirk. Only from afar though. And Neito? Doesnt even realize Izuku exists 💀 yet!! Its one-sided to he fell first, but he fell harder!!! (Izuku crushed on Neito first, Neito/Cat Noir crushed on Misterbug/Mikumo, Cat Noir noticed Izuku, and finally, Neito crushed on Izuku)
OH. everyone thinks Misterbug is a UA student as well, and so does Neito. Because obviously his bugaboo would be a HERO student in Japan's GREATEST Hero school. Not some weak quirkless kid in a forgotten run-down high school for D-listers, a quirkless kid who failed the physical aspect of the Entrance exams because he didnt have a quirk to fight against robots and only managed to get a few points by saving other people. His bug-a-boo is societies upcoming Symbol of hope, only the best could be behind the mask.
How did Neito get the black cat Miraculous?? Uhmmm because All Might felt he would be the greatest fit. Im not trying to turn All Might into a villain. Hes flawed asf but he's still a good person at heart, even if a lil dumb. change happens slowly, not at the drop of a hat. Not true change anyways 🤷♀️ ALSO. Something to reinforce the whole idea that Izuku and Mikumo are "two seperate beings", this is from the miraculous wiki page: "the Miraculous magical system inherently alters the holder's physical appearance when they wear the jewel and speak the transformation phrase." Izuku's appearance could change to a form he believes Mikumo would take. (In the prototype version, Mikumo has Purple/black hair with dark eyes and i think that would be a cool color to mix with the red of the ladybug costume. Maybe his design could end up looking more like viperbug? Idk) even tho its just a purple-ified version of Izuku, Izuku doesnt feel like its him. It feels like Mikumo.

Tikki being Izuku’s emotional support and telling him he is worthy even without a quirk
Plagg being an absolute menace
Aizawa slowly becoming exhausted dad figure
All Might realizing his mistakes but having to actually work for forgiveness
Izuku learning that Mikumo was never a separate person and was always him
Monoma being an annoying flirt who secretly cares way too much
The reveal that Misterbug was never a perfect hero, just Izuku trying his hardest
Notes on Inko cause I forgot abt her: Idk if this is a hot take or not but Inko isnt the best mom not gonna lie. She pissed me off bad in the anime too 😭 but I guess thats all about perspective. She seems like the type of mom to be super super worried all the time, but not worried enough to actually try to make a change, yknow? Thats neglectful, maybe not in an abusive sense, but like in an emotional one? Idk im not a therapist 😔 anways, I just dont see her or her character being someone that would push Izuku out of his "Izuku and Mikumo are two seperate people" mentality.
Notes on Bakugo: I hate this man with every fiber of my being, okay? I can't stand him 😔 I dont want any friendship between Izuku and Bakugo. NOTHING. If theres one thing id kill to get rid of in mha, its Izuku's fuckass attachment to Bakugo 😭 fuck him and his redemption. So like, id absolutely love if a fellow non Bakugo enjoyer could pick up this fic 👀 any consequences Bakugo would need to face tho would have to be much later in the story. Because early on, people only care about Misterbug/Mikumo. And Misterbug/Mikumo have no ties to Bakugo. No one cares about Izuku, so why ruin a golden boys future for him?

But I also lowkey understand why even if someone likes the idea, they may not want to do it because its a lot. And honestly, its so specific that if someone did pick this up and they added something that didn't align with my hyperspecific idea it would genuinely lowkey ruin my day. I FORGOT I HAD MORE THINGS TO PUT IN. This specifically being a scene for the entrance exam:
Izuku wanted to originally bring Tikki with him and use the Miraculous for the exams in order to pass, wanting to play Tikki off as a quirk. But Tikki, who was worried about how All Might would react to Izuku having her after All Might at some point, had figured out he'd lost her, talked him out of it. Saying that he didnt need her to help him and that with all his training (he still cleans the beach!) He would be strong enough to pass the exams! He wasnt 💀 so when Izuku gets his letter of rejection, hes devastated. And when Tikki tries to comfort him, he lashes out a bit at her. but in the end, he only feels worse because Tikki is his bestfriend and biggest (only) supporter who just wanted to help him and he yelled at her for something that he believes is his fault at the end of the day because he failed her. Tikki's advice also isn't technically wrong. She's just... optimistic 😭 She genuinely believes that after ten months of cleaning the beach, Izuku can pass and underestimates how unfair the entrance exam is toward someone without a quirk. She had no idea there would be robots in the exam 😔
Uhmmm what else? Oh! I thought about this more, and I think that technically the og miraculous cast could be mentioned in this story? They won't be alive since I like to think this story is in the future. Over two hundred years after Marinette and Adrian were born (lol they existed before All for one...) but uhm yeah. You dont have to include this part, but its an idea! This the only idea you can debate adding 🙂 im just kidding 😋 (im not..) I luv you 🥹
Im adding another thing because I was asked a question and I lowkey just then realized that I had a big blank space in my ideas. Who is the person behind the Akumatizations?? Well, that is your freedom. I dont want to use any canon characters in mha for this role because I just dont feel like they fit it. If you have an oc thats older (male or female, two of them sharing a miraculous? Go crazy) as long as they have are authoritive and have a presence, feel free! One limit tho, is that they CANNOT be allied with All for one. Infact, All for one should be someone they should be cautious and on guard with. Because All for one would be fascinated. Not with them personally, but the power they hold. And not because he understands Miraculous magic, but because it's one of the few powers in the world that doesn't fit into his usual understanding of quirks. And imagine what he could do if he got his hands on the butterfly miraculous and used it on his Nomu. Chaos. He'd love it 😋 so yah!
