“You’re here because you fear the Al Ghuls. You fear the League’s influence in the fight.” Damian’s tongue feels sharp, dangerous, even to himself. “You fear me.”
Rao bellows out a cruel laugh. His spit flies onto Damian’s face. The general thrusts him away, and Damian stumbles back, legs meeting the edge of the bed. “There is not a world that exists where I fear you, little prince.”
You will, Damian promises silently. He does not know how he will keep it.It's been over a year since the Regime invaded Infinity Island and killed the previous Demon's Head. Now, Damian has taken control of the League and is overwhelmed with responsibilities when the Regime forces return--this time with a formidable naval blockade, more superhuman soldiers, and the same sadistic general who brought Damian to his knees the year prior.
Jon-El won't stand by this time. He's going to free Damian and his people, even if it won't grant him forgiveness.------
Or: Newly appointed Demon's Head Damian Al Ghul finds his island under Regime occupation. He believes he must fight this battle alone. Jon aims to prove him wrong.
