Summary
Antonia Alberti was a thirty-year-old nurse who died in the ER parking lot—hit by an ambulance as she walked to her car after a long shift. She woke up on an island in a world she only knew from books, in her own body, just fifteen years younger.
Westeros. 190 AC.
Stranded on the Isle of Faces, she discovers a petrified dragon egg beneath a weirwood tree. Using magic she didn't know she possessed, she hatches it. She names the dragon Aries and spends years raising him, surviving, and rebuilding herself from the ground up.
She has become someone else entirely, shaped by desperation for survival and motherhood. Aries becomes large enough to carry her in flight. She now has the option to leave the safety of the island, but the world beyond is dangerous, and the stories she once loved are not as simple as they seemed.
Now Antonia must decide who she wants to be in a world that was never meant to include her.
