Chapter Text
It's a quiet summer day in the middle of June. Birds are singing their sweet tunes, leaves are dancing in the wind, and the sun is shining high in the bright blue sky. Ivan and Till are hurriedly running to their homeroom period, beads of sweat clinging to their faces.
"Till! Hurry up!" Ivan said as he ran down the spacious, grey pathway to the school.
"W-wait up, you big oaf!" Till exhaustingly calls after him. As they reached the black chained fences, they finally slowed down to catch their breath and prepare to walk through the grand, chilling doors of ANAKT Academy.
"Every day this place kept looking more and more like a prison." Till states, his eyes beaming at the stone-cold tile walls and the impeccable marble pillars that make up the huge building.
"Reeelax, Till! It's about to be summer after today, then we don't have to see this place for two whole months." Ivan smugs. "Well, I guess you're right," Till says. "These last finals are gonna be a headache though..."
"You guys barely arrived on time! What were you two even doing?" Sua asks.
"Ah! Sorry Sua! I was a bit tired this morning, so I accidentally slept in... " Ivan answers, a blush of embarrassment eminent on his cheeks.
Sua glances at Ivan. "Okay. And what about you, funky?"
"Oh, I was—funky?! Listen here, you little girl, I don't know who you're calling funky!" Till loudly yells.
"Enough! Quiet Mr. Till the test is about to be in session! Wouldn't want to be in trouble the last day of school now, do you?" Ms Jia announced.
"Ah! Sorry Ms Jia..."
As the pencil finally hit the paper, Till let out a sigh he'd been holding in for quite some time. With a little stretch, he craned his neck around to look for Ivan.
There he is, sleeping after a final for the 4th time in a row. How does he finish his exams so quickly?
"Hey, wake up." Till nudged him, trying to wake the black-haired boy.
"H-huh, what?" Ivan responded, consumed by sleep.
"The finals are over, dumbass. Cmon!"
The day had finally ended. With the school year behind them, it was time for a new game plan. Summer.
"You'd think I could score a girl this summer?" Till asked as he and Ivan walked together.
"Oh? Uhm, sure?" Ivan responded, confused by the question. Knowing deep inside, he didn't want to say his true feelings.
"I'd really like to. I mean, this is our summer before senior year! I've got to get a girlfriend before then." Ivan's heart does a little leap. It hurts when Till is so passionate about things like these trivial matters.
"I'll see you tomorrow. You wanna go anywhere?" Till asks.
"Oh! Uhm, I'd want to go to a cafe. If you'd ever show up on time."
"Cafe? And hey! I'm never late!"
