Need Your Name

Summary:

Maekar accompanies his brother to meet a potential match. He's desperate to get out of the crappy hotel that she's put them in, until he sees you..........

Work Text:

"This is it?" Maekar flashes a jagged look of disgust at his brother.

"Yes" Baelor gives the place a stilted grin.

"This isn't a hotel. It's a bloody construction site!" Maekar snaps as their protective staff lead them in.

Pampinea throws another dress on the floor. "No Gucci! Baelor deserves the best! Y/N! Get me another full American breakfast, I feel faint!"

You and Clown both leave. This PA job was more of a of nursemaid job, and neither of you were impressed. Pampinea was the daughter of a Marquess. Sent to Westeros as an "option" for the single King Baelor Targaryen. Because the girl was of high standing, when Clown asked you to assist her, you jumped at the chance. Now you deeply regret it, as the hotel that her father owns is pretty much a construction dump. You have to share a room with Clown and Pampinea is constantly texting you on your burner phone every Five seconds. She's needy and screechy, the type of girl that will have you literally wiping her arse to prove a point.

"Clown Clothes! Y/N, BREAKFAST, with scrambled egg mixed with ham, chop chop! The Princes are gonna be here any minute!" The Princess claps.

"Yes Madame" You walk out into the hall, muttering, determined to take a sausage off of her tray.

"This is YOUR fault!" Maekar spins around at his brother's small room. "Now usually, I'd ask Martina to find me a Five star hotel. But since this is your cock up, book me a new hotel!"

"Brother I....I understand" Baelor gets his laptop out as he starts contacting his own staff. He has meetings and needs to talk to Pampinea's representative to set up a date.

"I'm going to check if there's a buffet in this godforsaken pit!" Maekar pushes the door open.

He's no more than two strides forward before he crashes into your tray. "IDIOT!" He rants.

You look up at him, pursing your lips in an appreciative nod. You've always had a thing for older guys. He's broad and imposing. With an irritable squint that kind of turns you on. His features relax when he sees you. With your hands, you scoop up Pampinea's breakfast off of the floor.

"Woah. Stop. MARTINA!" He yells.

A mature redhead is at his side. Maekar pulls the tray away from you and puts it on the floor. "Mart, clean this up"

"Sir....I'm also royal staff" You point out.

"It's okay. Stand!" He orders. He so used to telling people what to do that your body physically can't refuse.

You stand as Martina walks away to get cleaning equipment. You're embarrassed. You're sweating on your forehead and can feel the slime of sweat under your armpits. Not to mention that the way that the Prince is staring at you makes you even more flustered.

"I'm Maekar Targaryen. I'm here to assist the king" The blonde introduces himself.

"So I gather" You reply folding your arms.

"Why is this hotel half done?" He asks.

"Because the Princess' family were guaranteed that this would be finished by May" You pat your phone in your pocket. "It looks like a finished Three  star hotel will be the King's Christmas Present"

"Is there a buffet?" He taps the wallpaper with his index finger.

"The Princess has her own cooks that make her a personal buffet. That will be extended to you and the king" You try to reassure him.

"So the construction workers will be digging around in those buffet trays?" Maekar cringes.

"No. The buffet is for the Princess only. We all have to eat elsewhere" It makes Pampinea sound like an arsehole. But it's a hundred percent true.

You watch him take a step back.

"And what's your title?" He stares at your black shoes, matted with baked bean sauce.

"Resentful but resourceful errand girl" You introduce yourself.

The Princes' eyes crinkle in entertainment. "And does this errand girl have a name?"

"It doesn't matter My Lord" You stand up straighter. "As you're leaving today with haste, aren't you?" You bow.

Locking eyes with him. His cautious blue eyes ignite with a bubbling curiosity that you turn away from. You almost forget that you have a job to do. You rush down the corridor to get Pampinea another breakfast.

Maekar turns around and goes back to his brother's room.

"Okay, so you're booked at the Carlervaro" Baelor arranges. "Which is of course a good few miles........"

"Brother, let's not act so promptly. There's no harm in me staying here for just a couple of days" Maekar fiddles with his goatee.

"Come on Maekar, the buffet food can't be that splendid surely!" Baelor stands up in confusion, as his brother calmly sits down.
