Chapter Text

"Miraculous LADYBUG!" I shouted, tossing my lucky charm into the air

"Miraculous LADYBUG!" I shouted, tossing my lucky charm into the air.

I watched as everything returned to normal as the rush of ladybugs swirled around the city. No matter how many times I win against an Akuma. I'm always rendered speechless by how beautiful its looks.

"Well, that was one tough akuma," came a deep voice next to me.

I turned to see the one and only Chat Noir.

He had changed quite a bit over the years, both physically and mentally. He's taller, bigger, and, much more handsomer. He is around the height of 6'3" now, much to my dismay considering I've barely grown an inch in the past years, and he's a lot more muscle now rather than skinny. He truly has grown into a beautiful man...

Agh! Stop thinking about it Mari! You know it's too dangerous to be with him in a relationship!  Besides, you like someone else and you know it!

"So what are you doing to tonight?" Chat asked dragging me from my thoughts, his green eyes sparking with curiosity.

"Oh, the usual, homework and working at my job," I said indifferently, trying not to give and information away, I always had to be careful when talking about where I worked in case Chat got any ideas about going to the place and trying to find out who I was

"That's it?" Chat asked, "Nothing exciting, just... homework?" He said, his voice tinged with disbelief.

"Yes Kitty, that is what I usually do," I said in a bemused tone, even though I knew that wasn't the whole truth.

I  did do homework, but often, when I wasn't saving the city from akumas, wasn't patrolling, I was just Marinette. The girl who liked to design clothes like they were her lifeline, the girl who liked baking sweets for her classmates and family, and the girl who liked to go in her room when she was by herself and dance.

I'm also the girl who likes Adrien like none other....I've tried getting over him throughout the years, but I can't. He's still the same sweet boy from high school. Not to mention that he gets more handsome with every passing day.

"Uhhhhh.....hello, M'lady are you okay?" Chat asked clearly confused

So lost in my own thoughts I hadn't realized that my eyes were closed and that I was.....smiling.

How sappy can I get?

The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was Chat Noir's face an inch away from mine.

What the heck?! How did he get so close without me noticing?!

I immediately took a step back, and before Chat could ask me what I'd been doing my earrings start to beep, notifying me that I was about to de-transform.

Saved by the bell. Perfect timing.

I looked at Chat and once again said something before he could do anything, "I'm sorry Chat but I have to go," I said, slightly apologetic and started running the other way, "Bug out!"

And with that: I was gone, leaving Chat in the same place.

Not many minutes later, I got home and to say the least: I was exhausted. Apparently Tikki was too.

"Woo!.. that was one tou-", Tikki said slurry, her eyes beginning to droop.

"Oh Tikki!" I exclaimed, looking at my fatigued kwami, "I'm so sorry! Let me go get you some cookies," I say before rushing out of my room and into the bakery.

Thank goodness maman and papa are out delivering baked goods!

I think as I rush back to the room, cookies in hand.

"Here you go," I say to Tikki, who is now resting on my bed, and hand her the cookies.

"Thank you," She stammers back in reply, obviously tired.

The cookies were gone within minutes.

"Tikki," I ask my kwami once she's done eating, "Did you feel anything odd fighting the Akuma today?" I ask, curiously.

"A little, why?" Tikki asked, slightly confused.

"Did you struggle or have any strain on your body?" I ask, trying to get a little more information before assuming anything.

"Marinette where are you getting with this?" Tikki asked, her eyes filled with concern.

"I think the akumas are getting stronger," I finally said, hoping to get some insight from my kwami.

My thought were confirmed when Tikki's face immediately went serious.

"We need to see the guardian," Tikki said as if it were the most important thing on earth.

What's going on?

Once I got home: I was tired

Once I got home: I was tired. However, who could fall asleep when their thoughts were filled with the ones they loved. Especially when it's someone as beautiful and intelligent as Ladybug.

It's funny, I'm eighteen years old in love with the same girl I liked when I was fifteen. Can't even admit that like her.

"You know I can hear you, right?" Plagg said, "Calm down Romeo, you're about to make me lose my appetite," He said grumpy, as usual, holding a wedge of camembert cheese.

To say the least I was surprised, I hadn't known I was talking out loud.

"While you were thinking of Ladybug and how you were failing miserably trying to get her to be yours," Plagg said, not so kindly, "I was thinking of the Akuma we fought today. Didn't you notice anything strange about it?"

"I guess," I replied, shrugging my shoulders, "Now that I think about it, I guess the Akuma was a little tougher than normal. Maybe they're getting stronger?" I say, more so a question than statement.

"I'm not sure either kid," Plagg said, looking at me, "But I do know what thing, and that's that we need to go see the Guardian," He said, his face surprisingly serious.

This can't be good.

This can't be good

Hey My Lil Donuts!

I was just want to say that this will be completely different from the show, and that there may be some things that you don't like and I ask that you respect that.

There are some little changes but they shouldn't be too bad.

also, this is a fanfic that I wrote when I was 12 and I had just begun to write, and now I'm editing it, so I'm sorry if it's a little weird at the start.

I hope you guys enjoyed this first chapter!!!
