Work Text:
Logan would be lying if he said that Thomas immediately calling Nico to hang out after the disagreement he and the other Sides had with him was a logical decision... Luckily for him, he wasn't Janus. He was used to watching the interaction from a distance, as they usually did on Thomas' dates, but this time it was different. He was bitter. Bitter that nobody sees the signs. Bitter that nobody listened to him. Bitter that Thomas is willing to throw everything away for a guy he just met-
"Specs!"
Logan immediately snapped out of his thoughts after hearing the familiar nickname and turned to Roman, who was currently looking at him, slightly annoyed.
"Were you even listening!?"
"To the usual unrealistic fantasies you have for Thomas in this relationship? Yes, I've heard quite enough." Logan replied flatly.
"Oh, come on, will you loosen up a bit? You yourself said that there's been some benefits to this whole relationship with Nico for Thomas."
"Yes, I've also listed the negatives, and yet you all still choose to ignore it."
Roman couldn't help but roll his eyes at that. He was growing tired of the Logical Side's complaints about the situation, even though they had already discussed why it needed to happen. "Can you just make like Elsa and let it go? We've been over this already, and what's done is done."
"No, because you genuinely believe something as trivial as love will automatically fix everything for Thomas."
"Oh, so Mr. 'I don't have feelings' suddenly knows more about love than I do? I bet you don't even know what it's like, with the way you act like such a robot!"
That comment only further angered Logan. Roman did not know how oh-so-painfully wrong he was about that assumption, cause the one person he did have those feelings for was standing right in front of him, and this argument was only giving him even more regret for foolishly catching them to begin with.
Their shared love for Crofter's, bonding over similar interests, working together and planning out the videos, their 'Rainforest Rap' fun, Roman writing him that entire 400-page Sherlock Holmes screenplay for Christmas, to which Logan still keeps on his nightstand to this day. It all meant something to the Logical Side, but the more they bickered and the more Roman refused to listen, the more it proved him right about his views on love.
"I have felt it, and I know with full certainty that it's dumb, unnecessary, useless, and makes you blindsided to the things that are clearly happening right in front of your face!"
Roman froze when he saw the flash of Orange in Logan's eyes, but before he could respond, the silence only made it easier for the two to hear Nico and Thomas arguing in the distance.
"So I'm not important to you?"
"Thomas, that's not what I said. Please, I want to settle down and build a life together more than anything, but I can't do all that right now, not when I'm still trying to progress and focus on my career..."
"What are you even saying?"
"I'm saying that I need to think about some things... Alone. I'm sorry."
Thomas desperately wanted nothing more than to stop the bespectacled man and plead for him to stay, but he could only sigh and hug himself as he sadly watched Nico get up and leave. There was no use trying. He should be used to it by now, cause after all, they always just end up leaving. But the truth was, he wasn't; he never could just get over the pain.
'You ruined it, Thomas... Again...'
"We- we can still fix this, right?" Roman asked, turning back to Logan, who was shaking his head in disbelief.
"Wow... How can you stand there and still not get it? There's no fixing anything!"
"Yes, there is! Love is what Thomas hopes and dreams of, and in order to have it, he needs to fight for it! This is what we've wanted-"
"No, this is what you've wanted, Roman!" Logan snapped, pointing at the Prince as he faced him again. "Thomas, nor anyone in the group, for that matter, was even ready for the relationship to begin with, and yet you were the one constantly pushing for it!"
The bespectacled Side's tone grew angrier as the Orange in his eyes returned, and he slowly walked closer to Roman, who was terrified and just as slowly backing away. He was done holding back, and he was going to make sure every word got through the prince's head.
"But sure, Roman. We wanted this to happen. We enjoy giving our all to people just for them to throw it all away, we enjoy the emptiness and depression after every breakup, we enjoy feeling like we're the one to blame, we wanted it all. Through your ignorance, this was all your doing!"
Logan gestured to the entire group for Roman to see the damage, and that only shattered the Prince further at the sight.
The stoic facade in Janus' face knowing deep down the anger and regret of him ever letting Thomas show an ounce of vulnerability to another person, the sadness in Patton's eyes that filled with painful memories of getting back into another relationship and ending in the expected heartache, and Virgil who was clearly anxious and internally blaming himself for it all as he avoided eye contact from everyone and fidgeted with his jacket sleeve.
It was all the exact fear, intrusion, and sadness Logan talked about.
What brought Roman back to reality, though, was the feeling of his back against a tree and Logan being chest to chest with him, and that only made him go more wide-eyed and scared. The Prince was trapped, and there was nowhere to run. "And if this is the hopes and dreams you were talking about, then you've clearly got what you wanted!"
Logan then slightly leaned his head closer, and that only made Roman flinch and turn his head away, expecting the worst. He knew Logan would never lay a hand on him, but from how livid the bespectacled Side was, he wouldn't blame him if he did.
"Congratulations."
That single calm delivery sent a shiver down Roman's spine. One moment, Logan can explode with anger, and then the next, he can so easily go back to being calm and stoic as if it never happened. That terrified him more than any physical hit ever could.
"Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to actually assist Thomas and give him what he really needs. We're done here." Logan announced as he adjusted his tie, turned around, and left. Roman weakly reached for the bespectacled Side with a bruised hand as he was leaving, wanting nothing more than to have him close to him again and try to fix it all, but it was already too late.
Logan made himself clear, and the Prince was already feeling the effects of a bruised ego.
Roman sighed and hugged himself as he leaned back against the tree again. He just didn't know what to do. Was it really all his fault? He was only doing his job and what he felt was best for Thomas. He was his Romance, his Hopes and Dreams, his other half of Creativity; it's what he does.
He really thought he and Logan were finally seeing eye to eye lately, especially when he put something that mattered to him in the "pros column" in their Doctor Who adventure, but it was clear that was anything but true.
After all, Logan putting 0.5% for "pursuing dreams" on the pie chart for Thomas in their first debate was proof enough.
Roman didn't understand why he wanted Logan's approval so much. Was it cause the Logical Side was smart and the Prince just wanted the satisfaction of being viewed the same? Was it because he desperately wanted someone to have his back after Redux?
Or was it because the fact that he cared so much and wanted to make Logan happy, really just love, and the thought of him leaving and never speaking to him again because of a decision he made, is why he's doing everything he can to make him see his point of view for all this?
That realization only made the Prince feel worse as he leaned his head on the tree. He was so absorbed in helping Thomas chase after Nico that he was not only hurting Logan but also neglecting his own feelings for him. He was just so blinded by his own desires that he lost what truly mattered to him…
No, it wasn't too late yet. If he wanted this to work, he needed to take his own advice and fight for it. But first, what he really needed to do was to get through to Logan. He's seen the bespectacled Side angry, but never this angry before, and he was determined to fix this mess once and for all. But for now, Logan was right where Thomas was, and he needed to make sure he kept a close eye on him.
"It's unfortunate that this had to happen, Thomas… Let's go home now."
Thomas numbly nodded in agreement at the command, walked to the car, drove back to his apartment, and clung to his pillow as soon as he flopped onto his bed, scared that the only thing able to give him comfort would leave too.
~
A few days have passed, and Roman didn't know what the hell Logan's plan to fix things was, but he didn't like it one bit. He was constantly ignoring the Prince, brushing his concerns about Thomas aside, and even making the floral shirt-wearing man do a shit ton of chores as a way of trying his best to put him back together again.
It was clear that none of this was healthy, and as Thomas' Logic, Logan had to have seen that, right? It was all so confusing to Roman, which is why he believed there had to be something more going on, and he won't stop until he's figured it out.
"Aaaand done!" Thomas announced, having finally finished sweeping his entire apartment and catching his breath. "Y'know, Logan, I think you're right about this whole cleaning thing. I think I'm starting to feel better."
A lie so strong it could summon a certain half-serpentined bowler-hat-wearing Side. The man was truly exhausted, both physically and still very much mentally. Sure, cleaning and doing chores for almost a week was an okay distraction, but he didn't know how much he could take. He needed rest, but he also wanted to make Logan happy.
Besides, he was better off knowing that he could make at least someone happy, so it was somewhat worth it. Plus, maybe that happiness for a Side can affect him too and make everything okay again.
"I'm certainly glad you think so, Thomas." Logan gave a satisfied smile, marking a check in his big notepad. "Now, how about we start on the laundry next?" Before Thomas could answer the suggestion, his phone rang in his pocket.
"That's odd, are you expecting a call?"
"No? At least I don't think- oh…" Thomas immediately deflated once he saw the caller ID.
"What? Who is it?"
"It's Nico… Maybe it's an emergenc-"
"Do not answer it," Logan said sternly. "If it was truly an emergency, he'd contact the authorities."
Thomas stared down at the ringing phone in his hand, the sound practically echoing off the walls in the quiet. His uncertainty caused Logan's expression to harden, going even colder.
"Thomas," he said, a strong warning laced within a single word.
"I just— what if something happened?" Thomas asked, hesitant in the face of such determination radiating from Logan.
"What happened is that he ended the relationship and is now clearly trying to alleviate his own guilt. You are under no obligation to answer or entertain those whims," Logan insisted sharply.
While this was happening, Roman was in his usual position near the TV, where he had been silently spectating as Logan directed Thomas throughout the afternoon, not speaking out of fear of Logan snapping at him once more.
However, in his opinion, this was taking it too far.
"Logan—"
"No." Without even looking at him, Logan held up a hand to stop Roman from intervening. "We are not having this conversation again."
Thomas glanced anxiously between the two of them, thumb hovering over the Accept button as the phone continued to ring in the quiet yet tense moment. Despite not technically needing to breathe, Roman found himself holding his breath out of fear that the littlest thing would set Logan off.
"He might just want to talk," Roman suggested, toeing around the landmine that he was certain he'd step on anyway.
"What, exactly, would that accomplish?" Logan demanded. "Thomas is emotionally compromised, and Nico made his stance abundantly clear."
"People panic in the heat of the moment! Maybe he decided that a breakup wasn't the best decision after all—"
"And people frequently say things they don't mean in order to avoid accountability!"
The call stopped, sending the room into silence once more as the two Sides glared at one another.
Thomas' shoulders curled inward, and a soft, wounded sound of disappointment crossed his face before he could hide it from either of them. "Oh."
Roman winced.
The phone began to ring again. Thomas' eyes widened as he looked back down at the screen, but Logan stepped forward, snuffing out the sad glimmer of hope before it could burn brighter than a small spark.
"Do not answer that, Thomas."
At that, Thomas' fingers tightened around the phone, and he shrank back from Logan, who was taken aback at the reflexive action.
"Logan," Roman said warningly, "You're scaring him."
Logan went still, a flicker of hesitation entering his gaze before being overpowered by the coldness once again.
Then, he adjusted his tie. "I am merely attempting to prevent another emotionally driven mistake."
"By controlling him?"
Those words slipped out of Roman's defenses before he could stop them.
Slowly, dangerously, Logan turned toward him, his cold eyes turned upon Roman as the phone continued to ring in the background.
"I beg your pardon?"
Despite being under such a deeply accusing gaze, Roman gathered his courage, wielding it and holding it close like his most valuable weapon. "You've been relentlessly ordering him around for days now. Chores, cleaning, keeping him busy— when does it end? When are you satisfied?"
"After emotional dysregulation, structure is optimal for—"
"This isn't structure," Roman cried, practically pleading with Logan to see what he was seeing. "You are suffocating Thomas with your desperate attempt at avoidance."
In that moment, something behind Logan's eyes died, his cold exterior tightening around his core like a dying defense system. His eye twitched slightly, and his jaw tightened as his composure threatened to come undone around the edges.
"You, of all Sides, are not in any position to critique my methods, especially considering we are only in this situation because of your own."
Roman flinched, inhaling sharply.
Looking helplessly between them, Thomas was frozen, watching the conversation unfold.
"You encouraged Thomas to pursue a relationship he was not emotionally prepared for," Logan said, his voice low and cold, yet deliberate and precise with every painful word. "You repeatedly dismissed every concern I raised because you were too enamored with the idea of a picturesque romance to acknowledge the obvious warning signs."
"Because Thomas deserves to be happy!"
"And now he isn't!"
Logan's outburst rang through the apartment, stunning them all into silence.
Thomas recoiled, but Roman just stared as Logan seemed to unravel before his very eyes.
Logan realized what he'd done a second too late, his expression changing for a mere moment before the cold, composed walls slammed back down.
Roman had already seen the fear that was dictating all of Logan's actions.
Raw, intense fear underneath the proactive, controlling persona that Logan had adopted.
"Logan," Roman said softly, reaching out.
But Logan only looked away.
"Thomas, just give me the phone."
When Thomas hesitated, Logan's expression tightened even further.
And finally, a realization settled over Roman, weighing just as much as it alleviated: Logan was afraid that Thomas would be hurt again — and thus, he was trying to protect him so much that he was suffocating him instead.
In the wake of that realization, Roman's resolve and frustration began to falter.
"Logan?" Roman tried, his voice even quieter than before.
But Logan did not acknowledge him.
"The phone, Thomas." He extended his hand towards their center.
For a long moment, Thomas stood frozen between them, exhaustion written all over his face. Slowly, reluctantly, he handed Logan the phone.
Once the phone was in hand, Logan declined the call without an ounce of hesitation, ignoring how Thomas looked so much more uncertain without it.
The resulting silence was stifling and filled with tension, neither Side willing to break it first.
"Can— can I go lie down now?" Thomas asked, sounding like a child who knew he was in trouble with his parents.
The question snapped Logan back to reality, and he nodded. "Yes. That would likely be beneficial."
Without another word, Thomas retreated down the hallway, the sound of his door shutting very loud in the stillness of the apartment.
Roman took a deep breath. "You cannot keep doing this."
Logan placed the phone face down on the table, still not looking in Roman's direction. "Doing what, exactly?"
"Pretending you're fine when you're just as scared as the rest of us are."
That statement finally got Logan to look at him, and for a brief moment, Roman wished he hadn't said anything.
"You believe I am doing all of this out of fear?"
"I think you're terrified."
"And I have reason to believe that you are projecting," Logan refuted, calm as ever.
Roman sighed. "Logan, I—"
Before he could continue, Logan interrupted, "You wanted Thomas to pursue a relationship because you were enamored with the frivolous fantasy of romance, refusing to acknowledge any possibility of it failing."
"That's not fair."
"And yet it is accurate."
Roman grimaced, and Logan looked away, his jaw tightening as the apartment fell into uneasy noiselessness once again.
Then, Logan laughed to himself, an unamused sound. "I warned you."
Blinking, Roman brought himself back to the conversation at hand. "What?"
"I warned all of you," Logan said, his voice steady yet hushed. "I pointed out Thomas' emotional dependency, the pace of the relationship, his attachment issues, the risk factors— and yet none of you listened."
There was no anger present, no frustration or even irritation — just quiet, melancholy acceptance.
He continued, "I distinctly remember you all looking at me as if I was trying to ruin something good, when I was only trying to prevent this exact outcome."
"Logan…"
"And the worst part," he pressed on, "is that I knew this would happen. I knew it was inevitable that Thomas would get hurt in this scenario, and I still could not stop it."
"But that isn't your fault," Roman stepped towards Logan, reaching a tentative hand out.
"Isn't it?" Logan snapped, composure breaking forth into a sudden burst of frustration. "I am Logic. My entire purpose is to prevent irrational decisions and mitigate harm, and Thomas— all of you— still ignored every warning I gave!"
Roman retreated the step he just took, flinching back — and this time, Logan immediately noticed, his eyes filling with genuine horror.
"I… I apologize," Logan said weakly, turning away after a moment. "That was inappropriate."
Roman's heart ached seeing the tiredness behind his eyes and the weariness in how Logan held himself, as if he were fighting gravity with every second he kept standing upright.
"Lo," Roman said carefully, "You don't have to keep doing this alone."
At that, Logan went rigid.
"Do not."
A pause.
Roman tilted his head in confusion. "What?"
"Do not pity me."
"That's not what this is!"
"Then what is it?" Logan demanded, turning back around to subject Roman to his angry gaze. "Why else do you suddenly want to listen to me? Is it only now that my input matters, after everything has already fallen apart?!"
Roman stared at him, speechless.
"You were all so determined to pursue this idyllic dream that none of you actually stopped to consider whether Thomas was ready," he continued, his composure lying by the wayside in the wake of the emotions taking hold. "And now he's miserable, exhausted, emotionally dysregulated, and I—"
Logan's voice broke, and he stopped, bringing a shaking hand up to his mouth.
Roman's heart shattered at the sight.
"I could not fix this," Logan whispered, his eyes unfocused. "No matter how much I tried."
The stillness that followed was not as tense as before, but charged with vulnerability, as if breathing too loudly would cause one of them to start sobbing.
"I just wanted him to stop hurting."
Upon hearing that, every ounce of fear, guilt, and tension fell upon Roman's shoulders, along with a sense of understanding — Logan had been trying to hold together a situation that rivaled his worst nightmares.
And Roman had only made it worse.
"I didn't mean to hurt you," he breathed.
Logan shut his eyes. "I know."
Neither of them spoke.
Roman's throat threatened to close up with emotion, but he kept going, even as his voice cracked: "I thought— I thought that if Thomas finally got the love he'd always dreamed about, then maybe everything would be okay."
Logan softened slightly.
"But instead, I ignored all of your warnings, and I pushed everyone into something that they weren't prepared for, and now Thomas is hurting, and you're hurting, and—"
Unable to hold back the tears any longer, Roman's eyes welled up, and he covered his face in shame.
"I ruined everything."
Logan sighed. They were both hurting, and there was no point in making the situation worse by snapping and putting up more walls, so he did something Roman nor anyone would expect. He hugged him, which caused the Prince to cry more and hug him back tightly.
"It's all my fault!"
Logan gently shushed Roman as he ran his fingers through the Prince's hair, whispering gentle reassurances to calm him. Roman wasn't used to being the one to receive Logan's comforting side, but the more he leaned into the touch, the feeling of the Logical Side holding him just as tight put him slightly at ease, and his crying slowly died down to sniffles.
"You didn't ruin anything, and it's not your fault… It never was your fault."
Roman leaned his head back and looked at Logan with both doubt and confusion. Every point Logan made earlier was right; he was the one who wanted the relationship to begin with, and ignoring his warning and his not listening resulted in him hurting everyone, so he didn't understand how he wasn't to blame.
"You did all this not only because you wanted things to be okay for Thomas, but you feared him being alone."
The Prince sadly nodded. They all wanted to make Thomas happy, but with Roman's role, he felt so much pressure and wanted to fulfill every single desire the man had in order to achieve that, and love was the only thing he felt that could prevent that loneliness.
"It's always been my fault…" Logan numbly said as he stared at the wall.
"Logan, no, it's not-"
"Yes, it is, Roman! I've lashed out, unhealthily overworked him, and tried taking matters into my own hands, all because I was scared of him hurting, when I've been the one hypocritically doing just that!"
Logan then swallowed and tried to keep his composure, hating the tears threatening to form in his eyes.
"I was the problem… Not Nico…"
Roman's heart broke more hearing that, and his feeling the single tear that ran down Logan's cheek on his shoulder only caused the Prince to hug him tighter. Logan being so vulnerable pained him; he couldn't imagine how long the bespectacled Side had been suffering all that in silence.
"Logan, please, none of this was your fault. Yes, we all fucked up cause we're scared shitless, but Thomas needs us more than anything, and we need each other… I hate that we've made you feel that way, and I'm so sorry we didn't make it any better by ignoring your concerns, but it's not your job to protect Thomas."
"But-"
"But nothing, Lo, you can't keep pushing yourself to make him this happy, content, and perfect work machine when he really needs to process and breathe… You're doing the best you can, but we all need to communicate and hear each other out on these things even if we disagree."
"You're right." Logan nodded and wiped his face. He was honestly surprised that, despite Roman being Creativity, he had a lot of logical points about all this. But then again, he learned from the best.
"Of course I am." Roman teased, trying to lighten the mood a little. "But in all seriousness, we can't keep fighting each other and blaming ourselves if we want things to be okay for Thomas, it's not fair on him."
"I know…" Logan sighed. "I'm sorry for everything, Roman. I didn't mean for things to be this way."
"It's perfectly alright, Specs. You were rightfully scared and upset, and I promise we've always cared. You just need to let us in… We're more than willing to listen, cause you're part of the group for a reason, and your voice matters just as much as all of ours… We just need to keep talking it through and come to a compromise."
"I'll certainly try… Thank you, Roman." Logan relaxed more into the hug.
"Of course, Lo." Roman smiled softly as he rested his chin on top of the Logical Side's head and comfortingly rubbed his back, relieved that he was able to fix things.
The two enjoyed the comfortable silence in each other's arms, but it didn't take long for a thought to cross Roman's mind.
"Logan?"
"Yes, Roman?"
"When you said you have felt love before... Who did you mean?"
"Well, it certainly wasn't Nico, I'll tell you that." Logan teased, which made Roman do a double take.
"Wait, so it was one of us? Oh, now you definitely have to spill! I won't tell a soul, Prince's Honor!"
Despite how cute he found the Prince's eagerness and dramatic hand raise, Logan couldn't help but hesitate for a moment. He knew something like this could end so many different ways, but he knew Roman deserved to know, and he needed to rip the bandaid eventually.
"It was you... And it still is you."
Roman blushed at that. On one hand, he was ecstatic that the Logical Side felt the same way, but he was honestly expecting anyone but him, cause he thought he'd be the opposite of what Logan was attracted to. He was loud and dramatic, while Logan was calm and reserved, so it just surprised him.
"Me? But-"
"I know it's rather unexpected, especially after everything and how I am, but you made me feel so many things I never felt towards anyone before… Admittedly, a part of me knew none of these feelings would ever be reciprocated due to the amount of bickering and differing views we've had, and I thought, as Logic, I wasn't allowed to feel these things, which then led me to later become so caught up in the negatives of love that I tried pushing them away… But no matter how much I tried, all the qualities that I love about you, everything we did together, shared and bonded over, everything we've given each other, none of that could truly ever leave my head, and those feelings only became stronger."
Roman couldn't help but lunge forward and kiss Logan. There was so much he loved about the Logical Side and wanted nothing more than to have him as his, and he's gonna make sure he makes it known how loved he is by the Prince, but the moment he realized what he did, he instantly pulled away, embarrassed that he did it without warning or permission.
"Oh my gosh, Logan, I'm so sorry I should've asked- mph!"
Roman instantly melted when Logan pulled him back in for another kiss. He's wanted this for so long, and the fact that it was happening at all felt like a dream, but the feeling of Logan tangling his fingers in his hair and the kiss becoming more passionate was enough to tell him it was all very much real.
Roman pulled him closer, wanting nothing more than this moment to last forever, but they both eventually had to pull away to catch their breaths, and they then rested their foreheads on each other.
"How long?"
"In all honesty, ever since Thomas realized he was gay."
"Well, I'll have you know I'm very honored that I was your gay awakening," Roman smirked, teasing, which caused a blushing Logan to playfully hit his shoulder.
"You're enjoying this far too much."
"Maybe." Roman laughed and gave Logan one final soft kiss on the lips, which of course was reciprocated.
When they pulled away, Logan sighed and rested his head on Roman's chest. "I know I must make amends with Thomas, especially after scaring and upsetting him, but I think I'm the last Side he wants to see right now…"
Before Roman could respond, Thomas' text notification rang from where Logan had placed his phone.
"I think the opposite, and I think someone else wants to do the same."
Logan sighed and walked over to the table, picked the phone back up, and saw Nico's desperate plea for Thomas to call him back, wanting to talk.
"Thomas' mental state and our fears aside, as his holder of hopes and dreams, how badly does he still want this?"
"More than anything."
"Was he genuinely happy?"
"I'd say he was. He had somebody he could love and care for and have fun with and someone showing the same love back through both words and actions only made him feel more secure through it all.
"Then I know what I must do."
And with that, the two sank down and approached Thomas, who was lying on his bed, hugging his pillow, and staring at his reflection on his turned-off TV screen.
"Thomas, I've been rather too harsh these past few days, and I apologize for my inappropriate behavior… I now see the real benefits to this relationship for you, and I'm willing to allow you to give this another figurative shot," Logan said as he offered the phone back to Thomas.
"Really?"
"Yes. I've come to realize Nico wasn't the real issue; you've just been unknowingly rushing into things out of fear when you should be taking your time as things go. You deserve to have control in these decisions, and regardless of what happens, even if he chooses to leave, it's not the end of the world. You either maintain healthy communication or move on to the next person you feel a stronger connection with… At the end of the day, we'll always be here for you."
Thomas took the phone, and for the first time in a while, he genuinely smiled.
"Thank you, Logan."
"You're most certainly welcome, Thomas." Logan smiled softly back.
"And if he does decide to stay, and you need date ideas, you can still run it by both of us! Although Paris would be a lot more fun, walks in the park and bowling will do for now." Roman teasingly chimed in, which made Thomas laugh.
"I will, Roman, thank you."
"You're welcome! Now go to him, Thomas, make the call to destiny!"
"Destiny doesn't have a phone number, and neither do we know anyone with that name. Who are you exactly having him contact instead of Nico?"
Thomas couldn't help but shake his head and laugh again as he watched the two sink back down. It was now his turn to make things right, and he did just that.
"You did a good thing, Logan… I'm proud of you." Roman smiled softly as he took Logan's hand and held it.
"Yeah, I suppose I did… Although there's a lot needing to get used to, I am certain things will be alright for the time being."
Roman smiled more, nodded, and hummed in agreement.
"Y'know, since now that we're both together as well, maybe we can go to Paris-"
"That's strike two, Roman."
"Noooo!"
Logan couldn't help but chuckle and kiss the pouting Prince, which was immediately replaced with a pleased hum.
Things were definitely going to be okay.
