Divine Love

Summary:

This is Broken Pantheon Au where the gods are cursed to not have children. So, chaos decides to steal a demigod who deserves to finally have a happy ending.

Notes:

The first chapter is the how Percy managed to get to the past so if you want to get straight to the story I would skip it. Also, it's probably going to be a little confusing because I wrote this at night.

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: Prologue

Chapter Text

The fates sighed

They looked at the tapestry they had worked so hard to design and sighed, the one in the middle looked over at her sister, the one in charge of making the end, the one to kill, the one to cut the string, the one who felt a little too much.

The middle sister looked at her sister who is as beautiful as the night, the one who eyes twinkle like the stars yet cry as if they have never known a star for themselves and said “what do we do now”

The one on the right stared but not as her counterpart had, no, she stared with a silent plea that this was the end, that her sister farthest away had run out of yarn for her to cut.

“We stop” she said like she had done time and time before “we finally stop”.

The sister farthest of her, the one who was in charge of giving the yarn, the sister made for changing lives, the one who connected souls in a way no one entity should be given power to do, simply nodded.

“Stop” she had said with a laugh, not one of joy or of sorrow. No, this one was made from a soul who ached to be done, a soul who wanted to rest, one tired from the burden of choices made for today and tomorrow.

“Ok then” said the middle one who looked of storms, the kind that rage on and on and change the course of time and yet can look like a sunny day in the park the next. The one ever changing but beautiful nevertheless, the one in the middle, the one who can change a life with the swish of her hand.

You see dear readers, the fates aren’t as they are so often described, they are souls who are forced to handle the weight of the world. They are not old and mean as they always appear to be. They look as if to children of Aphrodite their appearance ever changing.

These sisters had made the choice long ago to leave the mortals -like yourselves- alone in favor of focusing on the divine. The reason these 3 sisters are so tired is because they had just finished working on everyone's favorite hero Perseus Jackson.

The sister in the middle -Clotho- took in a breath they were finally taking a break allowing free will to settle into the world around. The other two were quick to copy their sister taking an inhale of their own. Even though they didn’t need to breathe it helped them to calm down.

The sister responsible for the string -Lachesis- was the first to feel the disturbance, her relaxation short lived as she felt a string begin to pull and tug. She looked down in her basket to find the string responsible for the distraction from peace.

Clotho looked over to see what her sister was doing before she felt the pull as well. Worried she looked at her tapestry to see an all too familiar blue string pull and pull. “Perseus” she breathed, catching the attention of her counterparts. The others were barely given a change to look up before the string tugged loose from the iron tight grip of fate.
the one responsible for the end -Atropos- got a crystal ball to see the string race through the air and into the fleeting night sky.

For a moment they just stared, the silence so loud it was deafening.
Then the ball panned to the soul it was connected with, to show him disappear into a cloud of gold dust.

Then after a few deafening minutes they said in unison “Perseus Jackson is gone”

This is a story unlike the others, a story of how Perseus Jackson learned the feeling of divine love.

Hope you enjoyed and it made at least a little bit of sense.
