Summary
Ever since Taehyung was old enough to talk, he understood that he would always be second. Not necessarily insignificant, just slightly less important. A priority, sure, but never the top one.
Taehyung has no doubt that his parents tried. He has no doubt that they did their best. It just wasn’t enough. He thought that if he just made it easy for them, if he just blended into the background and gave them space to focus on Namjoon, everything would be better. Maybe they’d tell him that he did a good job then, that his efforts were noticed and appreciated. But, the thing about making yourself invisible is that no one notices when you disappear.
