Of course Xie Lian knew the answer; under normal circumstances, he would have answered without thinking. However, given their positions and how hard he became after that slap on the ass, he found it difficult to even recall what his name was. Plus, Hua Cheng using pet names didn’t help his situation at all; moreover, was there a time limit to answer? He couldn’t ask Hua Cheng about it; given the last time, he would take whatever he said as his answer. So, Xie Lian had to be careful about what was about to leave his mouth.
He had realized what game they were playing; Hua Cheng wanted to “teach” him history using a punishment and reward system depending on his answers. But, a slap on the ass could hardly be considered the punishment—but then, if this was what would happen to him for giving the bad answers, what could be the reward?
