Chapter Text
(Why did I even actually take the bet...?)
Sara got an anonymous letter, inviting her to "a deadly game of chance". She has no clue what the game will be, or why she even accepted in the first place.
Now she's here, in some dirty old bathroom, spending her time here before the game starts.
The music from outside is so loud, to the point she can hear it bumping from the bathroom. Kind of catchy, though.
Sara washes her face in the mirror, since she can barely keep her eyes open. It helped, but not as much as she wanted it to. She then looks at the mirror to check herself, although the mirror doesn't even reflect her, because, again, it is so dirty.
Additionally, Sara notices that the mirror beside her has some large black scratchy writing which reads: "AFRAID?". Will this bathroom ever be cleaned?
(Well, I have nothing else to do here. It's time to leave.)
Beyond the bathroom is a particularly short hallway that leads to a door.
(That's where they are...)
Near the end of the hallway, Sara sees a person with distinctive pink hair staring at space.
(Doesn't she look way too young to be smoking...?)
The loud, bright nightclub below them is blasting some electronic music... So, that's where that music's coming from. Is that house? Trance? Well, it doesn't matter. There's no more time to waste idling around.
What lay past the door... was definitely a sight to see.
The room was decked with various electronic devices, and a large green tennis table took up most of the space in the center of the room. On the tennis table were 4 squares on each side of the table. To the right of the tennis table, there was... a monitor, it seems.
But, more importantly... The person right across from her.
She could barely see this man. What she can (albeit vaguely) make out is his green hair and his red polka-dotted scarf.
"Welcome," the concealed man handed an odd waiver to Sara. "Please sign the waiver."
It really was unusual. Sara had never heard of a waiver where you had to sign with an alphabet keypad connected to it. Brushing it off, she typed her name on the keypad.
"S", "A", "R", "A", enter.
Subsequently, her signature printed onto the waiver, the music stopped playing, and a beep came from the monitor.
