Summary
Furina is the quietest girl in school. She's also the smartest — top of every class — but nobody cares. She eats alone, walks with her head down, and only comes alive on the theatre stage. Even then, the seats are empty.
Arlecchino leads the school's meanest clique: Columbina with her cruel giggle, Navia with her sweet venom, and Clorinde with her cold, watching eyes. They mock Furina not for being dumb, but for being invisible. A lonely genius who trips over air. "Most Likely to Trip Over Nothing" — Columbina voted twice.
One afternoon, they corner her in the hallway, lock her inside the gym locker room, and leave her there. The door slams shut. The key turns.
An hour passes.
They come back.
Now she's trapped, exhausted, and completely at their mercy. The lights buzz. The tiles are cold. And the four of them stand over her, smiling.
