Lance had been trapped in this god forbidden cell for longer than he could remember. He had been captured by Aliens after his team got attacked. No one else survived. He had to watch everything. Right now he was asleep on the plaster white floor, walls closer than he likes. He laid on the floor, grey chains cuffed around his ankles and wrists.

Lance was physically and emotionally exhausted. They would beat him until the break of death, but leave him before he died, over and over again. It was torture.

inside Lances head, a nightmare repeated over and over

all around him was smoke, thick enough to choke on. He ran and ran looking for his teammates, “LILY!” He yelled out, no reply, just plasma shots. “F-Finnian!” Lance yelled once again, fighting back tears, he looked around desperately in the smoke, looking for absolutely any sign. He saw Nalo’s hand on the ground, the rest of them drowned out by the fog. Lance ran, as fast as he could, he didn’t wait, didn’t look around for trouble, just wrapped his arms under Nalo’s shoulders and started dragging them to what he thought was safety.

”LANC-”

Renna’s voice cut through the thick smoke

   SHIFTZzz.

Lance looked over in her direction to only be met with blood, he tried to hold back the tears, still dragging Nalo

                     BAM

Lance shot up, clinching his shirt with his hand, nails digging into the white fabric. Tears streamed down his face. Breath uneven and broken.

          “Bad dream?”
                      A voice rang out.

             Stern and mocking.
