Nathalie stared at the screen infront of her. Trying to ignore the uneasy feeling she felt whenever she was on the plane.
The feeling of Gabriel's hand on top of her's atleast helped make her feel more comfortable and stopped her from focusing on the fact that she was on a plane ride across the Atlantic Ocean. "Are you okay?" He asked, causing her to look into his eyes.
"Yes– Of course." Nathalie replied, as she stared into his eyes she felt the heat forming inside of her cheeks.
"It feels strange travelling to New York without Adrien," Gabriel stated, and Nathalie nodded her head.
"Yes. But I am not actually surprised that he wanted to stay in Paris with his friends." Nathalie replied.
She glanced out of the aeroplane window, seeing the clouds below them.
Hours had passed and Gabriel and Nathalie finally arrived at their hotel. They both walked through the corridors of the hotel, in the direction of where their hotel room.
Once they finally stood outside of their hotel room, Gabriel unlocked the door. As they walked through the door into the hotel room, their eyes glanced around at the room until something caught their eyes. Two Beds.
"Is this definitely our room?" She asked, turning back towards Gabriel.
"Yes. But I'll phone reception just to make sure." Gabriel replied, Nathalie nodded her head and gently placed a kiss on his cheek.
As she walked towards the arm chair, she glanced back towards Gabriel watching as he pulled his phone out from his pocket. She placed her suitcase at the side of the chair and sat down on the arm chair and stared up at the ceiling. She felt happy that they now had a break, where they did not have to think about work.
It was exactly what they needed after the stress of Paris Fashion week.
"Nathalie," a voice said, catching her attention. As she turned around in the direction of Gabriel, she noticed the look of mild annoyance plastered across his face. "This is definitely our room and the two beds were not a mistake."
"I mean this is the best mistake to happen." Nathalie replied, her voice in a laugh. "Think of how annoyed you would be if we were not dating before you started falling asleep in my bed… You would have been alot more annoyed if we were given one bed instead of two."
Staring into his eyes, she watched as he nodded his head with a slight smile across his face. "Yes." He said. "Definitely."
Nathalie walked up to him and gently placed a hand against the side of his cheek. She leaned towards him and softly pressed a kiss against his lips.
That night. Nathalie's eyes opened, her heart racing throughout her chest as she shot up in the bed. She sat up in the bed and leaned her back against the head of the bed. After she originally used the peacock Miraculous, she found that she was more prone to having nightmares. It was something that she could never bring herself to tell Gabriel.
She felt relieved that she was always able to hide it from Gabriel. She did not want to worry him any more than he already worried.
She quickly climbed out of the bed and walked in the direction of the bathroom. Once she entered the bathroom she rested her elbows on the counter and gently rubbed her temple.
She turned in the direction of the floor to ceiling window revealing the view of New York City, feeling as her heart beat slowed down.
As she left the bathroom, she quietly walked back towards the bed. Hoping that she would not wake Gabriel up. "Nathalie?" A voice quietly asked, quickly catching her attention.
"Gabriel?" She replied, hoping that she hid how she felt in her voice.
"Are you okay?" He asked. It made her smile at the thought over how he cared for her, she just didn't want to worry him.
"Yes of course I am," She replied, climbing into their bed and placing her head against his chest. She felt the weight of Gabriel's hand resting against her shoulder.
As Nathalie opened her eyes, she felt the feeling of the soft pillow below her cheek. No Gabriel. She glanced around the room to see Gabriel sat at the seating area of the room. "Morning." She said, tiredly.
"Morning," Gabriel asked, with a soft smile across his face. "Were you okay last night?"
"What do you mean?" Nathalie asked, she felt confused why he was asking her. Unless if she did wake him up. After shooting up in the bed last night, she would not be surprised if that did wake Gabriel who already slept lightly.
"When you woke up last night," Gabriel replied, walking over to Nathalie and sitting down next to her. Nathalie saw as he noticed the look of realisation across her face. "What happened to you? I know you said that you were fine. But it seemed like something happened."
"It was nothing." Nathalie began, trying to figure out the best way to explain it without worrying Gabriel. "Was just a small nightmare. But It's nothing to worry about. It happens."
"Okay." Gabriel answered, his voice was soft. They both leaned in towards eachother until their lips touched. As they separated, Gabriel placed his hand on top of Nathalie's.
"I am sorry if I woke you up last night."
"It's not your fault." Gabriel replied. "Would you like some coffee?"
"Oh, Coffee would be great." Nathalie replied. Caffeine was exactly what she needed.
After Gabriel left the room to bring her some coffee, she glanced over to the spare bed. She couldn’t help but laugh at the idea that they ended up with a spare bed, but part of her thought back to when they used their miraculouses. Nooroo and Dusuu would have felt so excited over the idea of getting bed to themselves.
As much as she felt happy that Gabriel had given up being Hawkmoth, and that they were now dating. She still found herself missing the two kwamis.
