Summary
Felix's breath hitched, a faint tremor running down his spine. "What?"
"I told you, didn't I?" He leaned down further, his massive chest pressing into the soft gray knit of Felix’s sweater, forcing the younger boy down until his elbows gave out and he was leaning flat against the pillows. "Out of every avenue in this city, I turned down yours. Out of every clean, boring college kid walking home tonight, you stopped in front of my light. You think that's a coincidence, sweetheart?"
"I—I don't know," Felix whispered pitifully, his eyes wide and glassy as he stared up into the heavy shadow of the older boy’s face.
"It's not," the baritone promised, his voice thick, dropping into that dark, dictatorial register that made a sudden, desperate heat coil deep in Felix's stomach. He let go of Felix's chin, his large hand sliding down to wrap with a heavy certainty around his hip, anchoring him to the dark sheets. "Some things are already decided before you even step off the sidewalk. You being pure, you being untouched... it wasn't a disappointment. It was exactly what was waiting for me at the end of the line. It's fated."
