Summary
Ever since Furina stepped down as the Hydro Archon, she has embraced her newfound freedom through countless love affairs.
When Neuvillette confesses his feelings, they begin a relationship in which Furina finally discovers what it truly means to love and desire someone.
But that happiness is overshadowed by a debt incurred when she and Focalors were still a single being. After learning she has little time left to live, she chooses to leave Neuvillette behind.
Searching for a way to save herself, or if she fails, a place to die far from those she loves, she travels to Natlan.
The former Oceanid who saved Fontaine through nothing but her own ingenuity will ultimately need others' help to save herself.
This story is not connected to the rest of the series. However, the reason for its existence is. In fact, it reuses discarded ideas from The Great Lie of Fontaine, recontextualized.
The first chapter contains an end note for readers who have read The Great Lie of Fontaine and the Version 6.7/Moon VIII content.
