Summary
Sometimes a single moment is enough to change everything.
For Marco Bodt, this moment is an overheard conversation, and the realization that two of his best friends might be humanity’s greatest enemies. Reiner and Berthold, comrades he has laughed with, trained with, shared his fears with, could be the titans who have brought death and destruction upon humanity for the last five years.
But Marco is not a person who judges quickly. Again and again he asks himself the same question: Did I mishear? And what if I didn’t? Torn between loyalty to his friends and responsibility toward everyone else, he is being torn apart inside. Every word he doesn’t say feels like a lie.
