Today is the hottest day of summer, and Suzu invites Koharu to get ice cream together. Suzu chooses chocomint, while Koharu picks strawberry.
As they sit enjoying their ice cream on a bench, Koharu glances over and asks, "Suzu, why do you love this flavor so much?"
Suzu responds, "Why do I love chocomint so much? Because it always melts in my mouth, giving a refreshing coolness. Plus, the chocolate chips boost the sweet flavor of mint!"
Suzu cheerfully adds, "Koharu, you like this strawberry flavor, right?"
"Not exactly, I always pick this one," Koharu says, still eating her strawberry scoop.
They sit there for a while until Suzu has an idea: "Hey, Koharu, guess what? I have a fun fact about us!"
"Huh, what is it?" Koharu asks.
"Chocomint reminds me of us. The cool, yummy, creamy mint is me, and those chocolate chips are you, Koharu!" Suzu giggles.
"Why am I the chocolate chips? I don't like chocolate much..." Koharu wonders, confused.
"It’s because when the creamy mint meets chocolate chips, they blend into a super delicious ice cream, just like us!" Suzu smiles.
"What do you mean? Blend?" Koharu blushes but is still unsure why her friend says that.
"That means you and I will be together, blended into a perfect pair!" Suzu says, holding Koharu's hand tightly.
Suzu's words touched Koharu's heart. At this time, Koharu's face started to burn.
"Suzu... Eat your ice cream before it melts!" Koharu turned around, still blushing.
"Okay~!" Suzu replies happily.
