Aqua dangled her feet off the cliff side, a gentle wind blowing through her hair. She had seen the sunset many times before, but now with this being their her last time, and with Seth on her side, it felt like she was really paying attention to it.
”Guess our time is up, huh, Aqua?”
Aqua pouts “No it’s not, you’re still here!”
”Yeah but in a few minutes I won’t” Seth leans closer to her. “We won’t”
”Uuu.. but I don’t wanna wait! It’s boring..”
”Yeah, well I don’t want to wait for the end of the world either but, here we are..” Seth sighs, as inevitable as it was, they really wished they could spend more time in this world, learn more about humans, monsters, time and space, basically everything. They especially wanted to know what they were feeling right now, sadness? Melancholy? Or the guilt of not telling Aqua that this world wasn’t permanent until now.
”You know, just a few hours ago I was reading about ‘Alternate Universes’. And it made me think if we had another chance at life, one that didn’t end, where we could pursue our dreams without the fear of it suddenly all ending. Where I could go to school and learn about the world, where you could play all day and make friends.. Green could open up multiple diners, Orange would start martial arts.. and hey, Blue and Yellow could even have a big wedding! Where you could be the flower girl…”
”Doesn’t that sound nice, Aqua?”
Aqua stayed silent for a moment “Seth, you used a looot of words just now but, I would wanna play all day! I could even ask Yellow to let me play with his gun!”
Seth laughed nervously “Maybe not that..”
”Aqua?..”
”Yeah?”
”Just for the record, if there was an universe just like that, I would still.. wanna spend it with you - But don’t get the wrong idea, literature would still be my top priority!”
”Aww! Sethhh, I wanna stay with you too! And if we can spend more time together, I’ll make leet-churr-a-churr? my priority too!”
Seth puts their arm around her, the sun was almost gone, but their smile remained.
”That’s sweet.” They sigh once again, knowing that the clock is ticking, and that the fountain would soon be closed.“Aqua, as insufferable and violent as you are sometimes, I see you as sort of a.. sibling?”
”Uuu, what’s a sibling?”
“It’s like- someone who’s related to you, like family!”
“I wanna be your sibling, Seth! You can be my sibling too, don’t worry!
Seth laughs “That’s usually how it works”

“You think we’d be friends in every universe, Aqua?”
”How many universes are there?”
“Infinite, a few, who knows?”
“Then, yes! Every single one”
