Chapter Text
"Adora, on your left!" Bow screamed in attempt to avoid a horde bot from blowing her to smithereens.
Bow shot the bot with an arrow before she had the chance to take her eyes off the ground.
"What's up with you today, Adora?"
Bow asked with a sincere look on his face.
"Nothing, I'm fine, Eveything's fine!" Adora said with her best attempt of a reassuring look. Truth be told, she was not in fact fine. Thoughts of her 'best friend' spun around in her mind like wheels of a car. She wanted nothing more than seeing Catra again, but not on the battlefield, not when fighting and not when they were destroying each other's homes. She just wanted to see Catra as if it was a normal day in the horde, like old times. But no, now in Adora's mind, Catra hated her. But nothing in the wolrd could compare to the hatred Adora had for a certain jovial scorpion hybrid in the horde.
Scorpia.
That damned scorpion and her close relationship with Catra. In reality, all Adora wanted was to be in Scorpia's skin and live her life, rather than her own. She would never admit it to anyone, but Adora hated that Scorpia was so close to Catra, after all, Catra was meant to be Adora's best friend.
They promised.
“You promise?”
The thoughts at the back of Catra’s head repeated over, and over, and over again. Adora wasn’t the only person with a special someone in mind, She couldn’t stop thinking about Adora. Her blue eyes and that adorable little poof of gorgeous blond locks on her head. That’s the only thing that filled Catra’s mind but soon her thoughts were disrupted by Scorpia.
“Catra, there you are, I’ve been looking for you for years! Where have you been the whole time, you missed the force captain meeting!”
Scorpia said while approaching Catra with her arms open and that joyful grin she’s had since the day they met.
“Get off of me! Don’t touch me!”
“Sorry wildcat! I was wondering if you wanted to meet at the balcony later.. to discuss what you missed in the meeting of course!”
Catra’s thoughts flashed back over to the memories she had with Adora when they would meet at the balcony. That was their spot. She couldn’t betray Adora like that.
“No.. just tell me now!” Catra yelled in anger with the memories of Adora in mind.
“Oh alright.. We’re gonna go to the Whispering Woods tomorrow to attack Bright Moon, they say She-ra and her squad will be there, so we need to be extra prepared.”
She-ra and her ‘squad’.. Catra used to be Adora’s squad.. If that stupid pink-haired princess hadn’t stolen her then they couldv’e been together and everything couldv’e been the same way it was. Glimmer would regret that sooner or later.. one day Catra would get her back for that filthy, greedy, selfish deed.
