Summary
Sung Jin-Woo had been moments away from killing the Monarch of Light.
Just as Jin-Woo delivered the finishing blow, the System intervened.
Every weapon he summoned was stopped by an invisible barrier before it could touch the other Monarch. Strangely, the barrier only rejected violence. Jin-Woo could still touch him without resistance, as though the System wanted him alive for reasons it refused to explain.
When the man finally opened his eyes, any plans Jin-Woo had for interrogation vanished almost immediately.
The feared Monarch of Light remembered nothing.
No kingdom. No war. No powers. No enemies. No past.
The only things he could recall were his name and that he was twenty-one years old.
Faced with an enemy who no longer even knew why they had fought, Jin-Woo is forced into an uneasy arrangement as he searches for answers the System refuses to provide. But as fragments of forgotten memories begin resurfacing and ancient forces refuse to believe the Monarch of Light has truly changed, Jin-Woo finds himself questioning whether fate is asking him to destroy his greatest enemy...or save him.
