Chapter Text
Red was going to be too late. She couldn’t send the signal anymore, Green’s hold on her was far too tight.
“Let me go, you idiot!” She thrashed, to no avail.
His horrible voice, somehow slimy, echoed through the crowded storage room, “And why would I do that?” His head tilted slightly, “Just so you can run away?”
”Yes..?”
He laughed.
She looked up at the grotesque monster that she once considered innocent. All of those people- dead, because of one stupid company and this thing.
He squeezed her tighter. A small sound escaped her.
This was it.
Tears flooded her visor. Don’t cry, you dummy.
…
Then she heard it.
*CRASH*
“Now that is a captain's kick- Oh my gosh, this looks bad.”
The monster jerked his head toward the sound; loosening his grip for only a split second. It was enough for her to jump out of his hold, landing on the ground with something that I can only describe as the opposite of grace.
Red dashed through the room, aiming the water gun at the mass of pink goo. He was a little off, so he dodged the lunge from Green and ran to the other end of the storage room.
"Come on, Purple, I need some help here!" Red shouted among the chaos, Green throwing himself at him left and right. She felt around in the pocket of her shirt, feeling a small canister of the salt she had planted earlier when they made their plans.
"Green! You should come over here... I need you to give me your... social security number." While her voice was a bit shaky, it was also confident enough to make Green pause for just long enough that Red could get a big fat hit of salt water on his face. "AAG OH MY CHICKEN NUGGETS THAT HURTS" Green hissed loudly, grabbing Red by his back while clutching his melting face. "You little-"
Purple shouted at them, "Hey Green!" Throwing her arm back, she aimed for his torso, throwing all the salt they had left with the little strength she could muster...
And she completely, utterly, missed.
A chocked sound escaped her, her chest losing the little flicker of hope as Green grabbed her and stuck his slimy face right in front of hers. He laughed, the storage room shaking from the sudden burst. "You missed, little bean. You two are about as worthless as Orange combined!" His voice echoed in the room, going through her mind at a million miles an hour.
The sad thing is, he's right.
"Now is the part where I'm going to kill you. Is that all right?" He smiled, his crooked teeth shining in the dim florescents.
She felt tears roll down her visor, but she didn't pay attention anymore. Her head bobbed slightly.
"Purple... I'm sorry." Red whispered. She looked at him for what she thought was going to be the last time, then he shot Green straight in the face. "NOT AGAINN ARG"
Green threw Purple to the ground with as much force he could muster, cracking her whole visor. The last thing she saw was Red attempting to kill him for what she hoped would be the last time.
