“It has been a while since we’ve been together in a room.” Columbina slowly and very lightly walks over to the bed in the middle of the room, and sits down, carefully placing her hands beside her body on the sheets.
There’s tension in the air around them, unsaid words are on the tip of their tongues. The hug from Sandrone was unexpected, but not unwelcome. It’s something Columbina has been wishing for, many times she wanted to wrap her arms around her for comfort, or just because. And now Sandrone made the first move, initiating a closeness they haven’t felt in many decades.
“Yes, so what?” Sandrone huffs, crosses her arms and sits down next to Columbina. She’s playing a role she’s been playing for a very long time, so it’s only natural for her to keep it up, even in the presence of Columbina.
