Chapter Text
Zaelia, Left city district.
Astrilucus, Theo’s store
Icarus walks into the small but clean store.
A bell jingles when he opens the door. His tail sways slightly.
Theo turns around. He’s rearranging boxes full of supplies.
“Hey, shops closed, I’m going to have to ask you to leave. I’m waiting for a client”, Theodore says rather stoically.
“I believe I’m the client you're waiting for. Theodore, correct?”
“Oh, Sir Icarus, you're early! Welcome to Astrilucus!” Theodore says in a completely different, happier manner.
“Your sister booked the session today, but she didn’t tell me anything about what you’d like to wear!” He says in a manner of ‘how DARE she!’
He walks over to a stand with measuring tools around it.
Icarus hasn’t moved.
“Come on over here! How am I going to measure you if you're all the way over there?” Theodore says brightly.
Why isn’t he screaming? Why isn’t he behaving like the Angelics on the train? They all either glared or fawned at me.
Weird.
Icarus makes his way over.
“Could you lift up your arms, sir?” Theodore says, holding a tape measure.
Icarus obliges.
He’s rather quiet. Probably just shy. Theodore thinks.
Theodore begins taking Icarus’s measurements.
He wraps the tape measure around different parts of Icarus’s body and takes note of how large they are.
He’s awfully close. He’s so pretty- WHAT DONT THINK THAT! That’s imprefessional! Icarus chastises himself.
Nobody will know! They're just thoughts! A metaphorical miniature devil appears on Icarus’s shoulder.
It’s supposed to stay strictly platonic at most!
He’s an Attack Angel, imagine what Mother and Father will think if they learn their son is courting a weapon! Who cares?!? It’ll be a lot of information that I transitioned while they're gone, it'll be worse if I court a literal bomb!
Also, I’m pretty sure the laws regarding mind readers haven’t been passed yet, so yes, my thoughts are VERY readable Icarus fights with his brain.
“You good, sir?” Theodore asks. “You appear stressed?”
Danmit. must be because I’m a stupid attack angel. Everyone’s freaked out around us.
I thought Iris would've talked to him already… whatever, just do your job, Theodore thinks.
Icarus opens his mouth “Instead of calling you Theodore, could I refer to you by Theo instead?”
Theo looks up, “Of course, sir,”
“Please don’t call me sir, no need for such formalities!”
“I’m done with the measurements, sir- Icarus.” Theo stands up, and begins walking over to a small couch and chairs.
“How about we discuss where you're going and what you’d like to wear!” Theo turns around and smiles at Icarus. What a pretty smile on a lovely face-SHUT UP!!! Icarus cringes at his own thoughts and follows Theo to the chairs.
