Chapter Text
Most girls like shopping, fashion, hanging out with friends! And doing fun sleepovers with facemasks or talking about boys.
Some girls are tomboys, they like doing what boys do. They know they’re still a girl! They just like doing boy stuff for fun!
Dee for some reason can’t seem to fit any of these 2 categories. Sure she maybe those quiet shy kids who just likes books or drawing, but it’s not that. Sure she’s quiet but also a tomboy.
For some reason ever since her brother had been born she can’t seem to be slightly envious of him, including her dad…she can’t seem to know why.
She’s different from the other girls. She doesn’t like feminine clothing, but the label “tomboy” feels… not enough… to her.
…
Dee was finishing up her homework in her room.
Until she heard a knock.
“DEEEEEEEE!”
Oh god it’s heavy.
Dee was finished anyway, she opened the door.
“What?”
“Can we play?!”
Dee groaned. “But I-“
“PLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!—“
“OKAY FINE! Just shut up…!” Dee followed heavy his room.
They decided to play Minecraft. It wasn’t bad for a game…until dinner came.
“Dee, Heavy! Dinner!”
……
2:27 AM
She can’t sleep.
Probably due from her brain not shutting up.
She’s been thinking.
Somewhere else we’re she might be more than just a tomboy.
Why is this so hard?
Why does she feel envious towards her brother?
How free he looks, how casual he can look.
Sure her parents doesn’t mind if she dressed that way too. But it doesn’t feel the same…
Like her strange envious feeling towards her father. He’s not the man what the world expects him to be but.
She still feels envious towards them.
Is it because they’re both men?
Is it her?
She’s felt this ever since she was 7 years old.
But.
I wonder….
What would it be.
If I was the opposite gender?
…
“And…done. Thanks dad.”
“No problem Dee! I’m always here at anytime!”
Glam finished helping Dee with her homework. It was a bit hard than usual.
Glam decided to leave for now. Before Glam left her room.
“Hey dad…I want to ask you something…”
Glam looked at her, something seemed….off.
“Have you…Have you always wanted to be the opposite gender…?”
Glam was confused by the sudden question but he responded normally.
“No…? Why do you ask?”
“Nothing.” Her eyes tried to make eye contact but she ended up looking away.
“Okay. Well, if you ever need anything…I’ll be here.”
He left the room.
Glam was slightly concerned, not from the question but how….off Dee looked. He might be overthinking it but he hopes nothing bad is happening to Dee.
…
What a stupid question why would she ask her dad that?! It doesn’t make sense anyway, why would he know? She’s a girl and he’s a boy. If she wanted to know how anyone else felt…especially another girl who isn’t girly at all would be…
. . .
“Well….not really…?”
Victoria found it odd from the sudden question.
“I mean… I guess so some sexist fucks respects me but... Nah, I don’t mind being a woman! Why the question?”
Dee sighed as she looked at her mom one last time.
“No reason just curious.”
