Two men one with black and second with green hair were standing on the side of the Hub Base, their hands connected in firm hold while flower petals were gracefully floating around them.
Endministrator didn't want to overstepp their freshly bloomed bond and trust and to not overwhelm his companion wanted to take his hand from Camille hold, only for his Sarkaz companion to fastly chase his hand and tighten his grip.
Camille wanted the hold on Endmin hand to last at least a little longer. He fastly noticed that it was hard to let go of warm hand of person who truly trusted him, for who he was ready to challenge anything and who was making him feel again truly cared for and warm inside. After moment Camille realised what he was doing and with regret slowly took his hand back, then leaned on barrier close by with Endmin fallowing him to for some moment together only look on surrounding them view.
"What are your plans now?" Finally spoken Endmin.
"I will need to take care of proper report about this whole case and then Seš'qa will most likely give me another mission, there is unfortunately always something to take care of."
"Shouldn't you rest first? It was very eventful time that we have been through."
"I got used to it, after all it's always is this way one time it can be quiet only to have mission after mission next time. Keepers work isn't easy one."
"So especially that's why I think that you should take your time and rest. In light of what happened they will definitely agree for you to take break to let you rest properly. Talking about rest how is your wound?"
"Char must be far away already, so my wound calmed or should I say that it at least came back to it's regular state. Until my blood will get whole again it may never be wholly calmed." Camille then looked in direction of Endmin who was facing him surprisingly his wound feel calmer with masked man around. After fast rethinking everything he couldn't refuse Endmin proposition. "But you may be right, I feel slight fatigue in my body. Maybe some rest is required. What about you Endmin what are yours plans?"
"I will need to take care of some things at The Hub before getting my chance to rest."
"And you say that I should rest when you need this as much as I do, but still plan to do missions. How are you feeling after everything what happened?"
"Still slightly tired, but exept that I'm in perfect condition... at least not worse in my actual state." Said Endmin and touched his mask lightly. "I will take fastly care of everything, then I will rest too."
"Then I will accompany you, what is your objective?"
"You really don't need to, you can rest and then after finishing everything I will rest too."
"I was ready to continue my work, so accompanying you will not do any damage to my health."
"If you say so, then first I wanted to check on people who got involved in this mission, before going to report everything properly."
"Simple one, then shall we go?"
Endministrator nodded and then both men went in direction of infirmary.
When they arrived even if Camille wanted to stay outside all it got was one look back from Endmin lightly waving his hand for green haired man to fallow him inside. There they were meet with huge happy welcome and a lot of thanking. Camille standed on the side and leaned on wall.
"Endministrator, Camille we're so thankful for your help."
"That's nothing, it was all Endm..."
"You don't need to thank us, both of us just done what was right to do. How are you feeling?" Interrupted Camille Endmin and smiled warmly in his direction.
Camille then looked to the side and focused on fidgeting with his key while listening do their talking.
Moment later they finally leave an went to finish report while peacefully siting on the side. They found bench in nice and quiet place, then Endmin took his tablet out and started writing. Camille sat on his side and focused his eyes on screen, but finally fatigue properly took over him and he started to slowly drifting into sleep.
Endministrator was in the middle of his report when he felt something lightly bumping on his arm, so he immediately looked and saw Camille peacefully sleeping on his arm with his little bat also resting on Sarkaz arm. He decided to let him rest, so he fastly finished and sent his work, then gently to not move to much and to not end up waking his companion, put tablet away and let Camille rest more. Endministrator wanted so much to caress Camille bat to feel what texture it have or to trace with his finger beauty spot on his hand, but with how cautious Sarkaz is he was afraid of waking him, so he decided against it. Endmin felt tiredness getting over him too and soon after sending message to Perlica who was on Dijiang, he end up falling asleep too with his head laying on Camille head.
When some time later Camille woke up he felt light weight on his side. After realising he had fallen asleep and that he do it on Endmin he wanted to fastly move away, but soft breathing of masked man stopped him from any sudden movements. Uncontrollably Camille hand stretched in direction of Endmin head only to abruptly stop in the middle of the way, after fast consideration he decided to give in and lightly to not wake up his masked companion, pat his soft black hair. After quickly taking his hand back and after making sure that he didn't wake up him with his movement, Camille decided to let Endmin rest as much as he needs.
When Endmin finally woke up he looked at Camille who fastly looked away from his direction and focused on their surroundings. Endmin then slowly sit up and after yawning softly looked back at Camille.
"Sorry for drifting off so much, I hope you didn't feel sore after needing to sit like this for so long."
"Apologies are not needed from you, I'm the one who should apologise because I was the one who have fallen asleep first."
"You don't need to worry about it, it seems we both need proper rest. What will you say about it if you still want to tag along then when we finish with my missions here we can go to properly eat and rest at Dijiang? Of corse if you're still tired you can go there first others there will show you everything around and I will join you later. You don't need to worry about me, I can take care of everything myself."
"I would never doubt your abilities, but I would like to still accompany you."
"If you say so, alright then let's go."
Endmin standed up and stretched his hand to Camille who with small hesitation took it and standed up as well.
They then took care of some in Camille eyes mundane things. Helping with little things here and there, Camille was watching Endmin skilfully taking care of different machines and small robots, he already know that Endmin now is different from his past self, but seeing him doing so many small things around like harvesting and then planting new plants on fields, doing some deliveries or getting some treats that he shared with him and some people around made Camille both slightly shocked seeing walking legend taking care of so many small things that he always looks happy to assist with, and happy that he could get to know this easy to approach and gentle side of Endministrator whose influence already is working strongly on him as well.
When they were finishing last task and Endmin proposed that they should head straight to Dijiang now, black haired man got message about some enemies crashing things close to factory, so they immediately headed in this location.
There they saw bunch of Landbreakers destroying mining rings. Endmin looked in direction of Camille who nodded and together they move in different directions. They were defeating enemies without any problem, synchronising their movements like if they were doing it for ages. When last one enemy fallen they standed together without any sign of tiredness. Then Endmin checked on machines around that thankfully were without any big damage.
"It is last one and it also is in good condition now we can..."
Endmin wasn't able to finish when Camille protected him with his wing from arrow flying in his direction from distant enemy who he didn't notice while he was busy checking machines around.
Camille didn't waste time and immediately defeated any remaining enemies.
"It was last of them, are you alright Endmin?"
"I'm good, thanks to you I hope it didn't overworked you?"
"I'm fine, they weren't much of a treat to make me overuse my powers."
"Good, then let's go back. Even if you say you're fine it would be good for you to rest properly on Dijiang." Said Endmin and stretched his hand to Camille.
This time without any hesitation Camille managed to grab Endmin hand and let him lead himself away, inside knowing well that he would let masked man drag himself whenever and wherever he would wish.
After fast welcoming from people around and some sightseeing around Dijiang they went straight to eat something. They both enjoyed good food and small talks until it was getting late and they split to their own rooms. Some days passed with them doing some small missions together and then resting or with just calmly spending time and with each passing moment their bond was growing stronger.
Some time before Camille free time was supposed to end he got invited to Endmin office. There he noticed smiling Endmin who immediately came closer to him and handed him key.
"What is this?" Asked Camille.
"Making key like this take some time with how rare are they, but I wanted you to know that Dijiang always have door for you to open.
Endmin gesture greatly suprised Camille, but also answered his question about what Endmin was hiding with Perlica and others. He grabbed key tightly and looked to the side he tried to find proper words, but couldn't say anything coherent, so he end up with simple ones. "Thank you."
Endmin didn't need grand words from him, Camille reaction was enough to make him feel so happy especially after hearing happy jingle after Camille put new key against his old one.
No matter where their ways will lead them they will always find their way back to each other side where with time it became their little sanctuary.
Bonus
Behind the door two women were trying to not get caught eavesdropping. Young Liberi couldn't believe that she allowed herself to get caught in Chen shenanigans.
"We shouldn't." Whispered Perlica.
"We need to know if Endmin got himself a boyfriend when we were separated, with all this key thing that he messaged you about and all this time they spend together there must be something going on between them. Also some other people started gossiping, so we need to be first to find out." Last part Chen said even quieter, but Perlica still heard her clearly and just rolled her eyes.
When Chen came closer to try hear them better Perlica started to bump her arm. Chen wanted to say something to her to stop, but then she noticed that Liberi is looking on something behind them. When young Lung looked there she saw red bat and immediately backed from door.
"Haha we were just... passing by and I fallen? Anyway we will be going don't mind us!" After saying this Chen grabbed Perlica arm and immediately run away after what bat disappeared leaving behind sound of lightly laughing Endministrator and shaking his head Sarkaz whose fingers were tightly intertwined together.
