Work Text:

A well known fun fact about Sogo was the fact that he has been a huge fan of the rival group Trigger. He had been following them ever since they debuted and Sogo never shied away from talking about it. Fans find it adorable when he becomes passionate and rambles away, praising their music, performances and dance. Sogo considered himself as the same as an average fan of Trigger out there and even as an idol himself, he considered himself incredibly lucky to have been acquainted with his idols personally. In short, his feelings never faced any changes nor his admiration lessened after he made a name for himself in the same idol industry. Rather, his respect was tripled for Trigger.

On other hand, Torao found himself to be in vain when it came to be a passionate fan of Trigger like Sogo. He was a fan sure, he knew all of their songs and enjoyed singing them at the karaoke with Sogo. Even so, Sogo's passion was unmatched. He wasn't jealous. Instead, he was in awe as he watched his lover craft an itabag with great care and plenty of time to bring to the upcoming concert.

The two gathered in Sogo's room. Torao had seen countless itabags out in the streets and especially outside their own concert venues as well as other group's live shows. Those bags were oozing with overwhelming creativity coming from each fan. He imagined they crafted their itabags with equal love and passion too. He hadn't given it much thought before but he began to think about it deeply after observing Sogo for a while.

He stared at Sogo and saw the way he was glowing. Sogo loved engaging in nerdy activities like this and Torao loved seeing him glow as result of it.

"Oh. Ran out of glue."

Sogo looked at the empty glue tube in disappointment.

"I'll go out to the stationary store near the corner and get one.", Torao suggested while preparing to stand up.

Sogo's hand went to his shoulder to stop him from getting up from his seat. "Mido-san, you came in car. You didn't bring any extra disguise so that would be a bad idea I say. Especially inside a local shop where you're very likely to get surrounded by the public."

"Oh. I guess.", Torao couldn't think of a way to invalidate Sogo's point. He relaxed in his seat again and began to think.

"Don't worry, neither of us need to go. I'll go ask Tamaki-kun."

Sogo flashed him a reassuring smile and got up from his seat. He patted himself and pulled on his clothes a little to fix any wrinkles caused by sitting down for a long time. Then, he walked out of the room and closed the door behind his back. Torao sat there, waiting patiently. About ten minutes passed before Sogo showed up again. "Tamaki-kun was kind enough to lend me his glue.", he said with a grin and locked the door. He walked towards Torao and claimed his seat again which was across Torao, a small table between them. Their crafting materials, merchandise spread all over. Apparently, the glue was necessary to complete the toploader design Sogo was in the middle of. It was decorated with a beautiful blue lace. Next to it were some gems of different shades of blue and a bow of the same color on the table. Torao guessed those were supposed to be glued onto the toploader.

"He forgot where he kept it so it took us a while to find it.", Sogo explained.

"Still lucky that he had one."

Sogo began to apply glue onto his incomplete decoration and without looking up, he said, "Sure is."

Between their chitchats and DIY projects, time flew and by the time they finished their itabag decorations it was evening. Right before dinner too.

Both of them heard a knock. "Sogo-san~",came along with it. Sogo guessed by the voice and concluded that it was none other than Riku. "Wait!" Sogo got up and ran towards the door, not wishing for Riku to wait outside too long. Torao also stood up by the time the door was opened by Sogo and Riku began to speak, "Sogo-san— Oh!" He paused when Torao came into his vision. "Mido-san, good that you're still here!"

He grinned and Torao offered him a polite smile. He looked back at Sogo and continued, "Mitsuki said the dinner is ready so I came to get you. Mido-san, you too! I'm sure Mitsuki made enough for everyone!"

"Oh, I'm about to leave soon actually. I overstayed.", Torao stated with an apologetic smile.

"Eh! You should eat before going then or Mitsuki will be upset.", Riku said and looked at Sogo with a pout. Sogo understood that Riku needed him to convince Torao.

"Thank you, Riku. We'll be there in two minutes. I'll just put this mess away first."

"Okay!", Riku waved a bye to both them. "See you, Mido-san!" With that, he was out of their sight right away.

"Um— Is it really okay, Sogo?"

Sogo observed the slight concern over his boyfriend's face. He said, "I'm afraid Riku was right about Mitsuki not enjoying the idea of you leaving right before dinner." Then, he walked towards the taller boy and took his hand in his. "The guys will appreciate your presence. Plus, I was also hoping to have dinner with you, Mido-san."

Torao's cheeks changed its color to bright pink. He looked everywhere but into Sogo's eyes and said, "Uh well. If— Um, if you and others are insisting… I'll stay."

Sogo gave him a toothy grin and they both made their way to the dining area after tidying up. Sogo kept Torao's itabag along with his. Torao suggested they can go to the concert hall from the Idolish7 dorm together for convenience.

The dining area was lively with chatter and laughter shared between the housemates. As soon as they walked in, others greeted them warmly. Sogo left Torao's side to go into the kitchen and help Mitsuki with serving the meal.

"Torachhi!"

Tamaki called out to Torao to get him attention who was standing near the table. "Oh, Yotsuba."

"Sit beside me, come!", he patted the empty chair next to him, urging Torao to claim it.

He made his way to Tamaki and sat down beside him. On Tamaki's other side was sitting Iori. Across Torao was Yamato with empty chairs on both of his sides but they weren't empty for long. While Torao and others at the table were engaged in small talks, Mitsuki, Riku and Sogo sat down with food. Nagi wasn't present. According to what Sogo told him, Nagi had a busy week. With that, Torao assumed he would late.

The dinner table conversations had 5 different topic switches. Tamaki and Iori were in their own little world, talking about something that soon turned into background noise for the others on the table. One of the topics between others happened to be the Trigger concert that Torao and Sogo planned to attend together.

"We're done with our itabags. That was the only thing needed to complete.", Sogo informed Yamato who had asked about their progress.

"Are you both carrying itabags of Ryuunosuke Tsunashi-san?", Yamato asked, looking at both Torao and Sogo.

"Yes. Sogo was going to bring his Trigger itabag but he changed his mind."

Sogo waited for Torao to finish and spoke again, "Mido-san doesn't have an itabag so I wanted to help him make one. Then, I thought I could also make one for myself since I don't yet have an Itabag of Tsunashi-san." He explained in between of eating.

"I knew about Sogo-san being a huge fan of Tsunashi-san but Mido-san being a big of him too surprised me!", Riku voiced his thoughts.

Torao shook his hand side to side to his comment. He said, "I'm not that big of a fan. Sogo takes the crown really. I just admire his passion and work."

Yamato let out a hearty laugh in response to Torao.

Mitsuki spoke up, "What did you remember, Ossan?"

"Just that— Sogo is definitely the bigger fan of Tsunashi-san. After all, he liked Tsunashi becau— mm?!"

Sogo shoved a spoonful of rice and meat into Yamato's mouth before he could complete his sentence. "Eat more of the meat, Yamato-san." Yamato stared at him with a bewildered expression while he tried to speak with mouthful of food which only came out as some random noise.

"I added a little bit of my special Tabasco too. Savor it's taste slowly."

"O-oi, Sogo!", Torao looked at him and Yamato with a worried face.

Yamato kept talking, as in made sounds while he panicked because of the new information he received. Riku extended a glass of water towards Yamato. Torao watched it all in utter confusion, unable to figure out what just happened. Also, what was Yamato saying? Something about Ryuunosuke being Sogo's oshi. Torao tried his hardest to recall.

Oh, the reason why Sogo liked him?

Torao had known Sogo liked Ryuunosuke because he loved him as an idol. It was no secret to anyone that Sogo liked him the best out of the three. Though, occasionally he showed embarrassment when it came to admitting to it in front of Trigger themselves. But, Trigger wasn't there now. Torao began to think again. Was it possible that there was a secret reason behind it? That only his group-mates knew and no one else?

Likely.

Despite the likeliness, Torao decided against asking Sogo anything regarding that. He realized quickly, the answer wasn't something he could learn so easily. If Sogo feels comfortable with him, he will find out eventually. He believed so and as always he will try his best to continue being a safe space for Sogo.

All that mental encouragement he gave himself was for vain because he laid in his bed, wide awake, busy in thoughts. Wondering what it was Sogo didn't want him to know. Why did Idolish7 know? Did he not fully trust Torao yet?

The questions kept him awake until 3am when his body shut down on it's own like a phone with 0% battery.

The next day Torao picked Sogo up from the dorms in a car which he decided to drive. They stopped nowhere and went directly to the venue. They walked in with masks and caps to maintain secrecy with itabags on the shoulder in full display. Both of their heart jumping out in excitement to watch their favorite idols perform live. They bought few more merchandises and along with the new ones, they took some photos of their itabags. Sogo runs a blog using a secret identity. It carries all of Sogo's oshikatsu pictures. It was quite literally an archive for him. That was how he worded it to Torao when Torao was curious. Although, Torao is not motivated enough to run a blog, he didn't dislike accompanying Sogo. When his followers noticed the hints of Sogo having a partner, they started calling them 'cute' under the comment section. Many other kind comments came from his followers often.

The concert came to end, so did the day. The moon was out and bright. Clock said 9 in the evening. The outside air was slightly chilly in comparison to the passionate warmth of the venue inside. Even so, Torao and Sogo walked slowly while savoring the sweet time together. They talked about the experience, Trigger's new song and somewhere between that Sogo drifted onto another but somewhat related topic— music. Torao listened. He never interrupted Sogo whenever he would turn into a chatterbox that only spoke about music. Before they realized, they were both in front of the car. After carefully placing their itabags in, they sat in the car and Torao began to drive.

After 5 mins, Torao spoke up. "To your dorm, right?" He wanted to confirm since he has to drop Sogo off first before he gets home.

"Oh, maybe not yet?"

Torao turned his head to look at him for a second, then continued watching the road again. "Not yet? Do you want to do something?"

"I'm not sure. If you're okay with it, Mido-san, can we spend some more time together?", Sogo asked while looking down at his hands fidgeting together in the dark.

Suddenly, Torao removed one hand from the steering and grabbed Sogo's hand. He interlocked his fingers with his and while his thumb drew comforting strokes on Sogo's hand, he confessed, "I was hoping to stay with you for a little longer too. We have a lot to talk about, I think." Torao smiled, still focusing on the road.

Then, he heard a giggled escape Sogo's throat. "I agree."

"Let's go grab drinks."

"Yeah."

They arrived at the Mido hotel where Torao frequented at because he preferred the bar there. There were few guests there, not crowded at all. Mostly businessmen and some entertainers. Two of them sat beside each other, their drinks came, they were deep into their conversation involving Trigger and the concert and one drink became two, two became three and it went on. Torao felt a little tipsy but he was able to handle his alcohol better than the individual next to him.

"Tsunashi-san owned the stage today. I'm not biased, okay?", Sogo praised his favorite idol while he sipped his drink. "He was soooo cool! I want a fanservice from him.", he admitted in a complete drunken state.

As another fellow Ryuunosuke fan, Torao couldn't deny that he was indeed amazing today. Still, he felt a tad bit of jealousy bubbling within him. He always felt rather inferior in front of Ryuunosuke. Torao truly held high opinions for him and respected him quite a lot. Even then, he couldn't help but put himself below Ryuunosuke. Probably, he was still guilty deep inside for what he had done with him.

Torao drank the last bit of alcohol from his glass and slammed it down passionately. He looked into Sogo's eyes and said, "I can give you fanservice, Sogo."

Sogo giggled at him. Torao noticed his cheeks were red from the high amount of alcohol consumption.

"But you're not Tsunashi-san."

With that, Sogo completed shut him down. Torao sighed in defeat.

"Oh but Mido-san is like Tsunashi-san. It works. Do it."

"Huh?"

Torao stared at him. Confused.

"Fan.Ser.Vice. Do it."

"No, I mean. What do you mean I'm like him?"

Sogo did a thinking gesture with his index finger tapping on the side of his forehead and pretended to think about it. Then, he began to talk. "You're tall, wide shoulders and big arms,"

Torao looked at his arm and touched it. Well, yes.

"Beautiful brown hair—"

Torao decided to interrupt his boyfriend. "Alright, yeah. We do share some physical traits. As people, we are different though."

"But, I liked Tsunashi Ryuunosuke because of Mido Torao.", Sogo flashed him a flirty grin. Torao froze but his entire world seemed to spinning. He continued to stare at Sogo, trying his hardest to process the information.

"In college, I was so lonely! Only music was there", Sogo reminisced. "And so I found Trigger. The best idols ever. I love trigger!"

Torao listened to him with his full attention.

"Tsunashi-san was so perfect! Everything about him reminded me of you. It hurt. Even the fact that his father owned a famous hotel. What were the odds."

"Sogo…", Torao frowned hearing about how hurt he was that time. At the same, he felt comforted knowing that he wasn't hurting alone because of their breakup.

"If it weren't for Mido-san, I wouldn't have fallen for Tsunashi-san. That's the truth!"

His heart raced as he heard the last confession fall off of Sogo's tongue. Torao began to feel the heat rise on his face. His cheeks and ears were same shade of red as Sogo now but for him, the cause wasn't alcohol. He was running laps internally and screaming in his head.

Torao grabbed a glass of water, chugged it all down and got down from his chair. "Sogo, come with me." He demanded of Sogo and grabbed him by his hand as he dragged him down from his chair.

"Whereeeee? Are you going to give me fanservice?"

Torao gave him no response until all of a sudden, to Sogo's surprise, they were inside the elevator. Torao pinned him against the elevator mirror then lifted his face up by resting his hand under his chin.

"I'll give you something Ryuunosuke can't."

"Kyaaa~", Sogo said monotonously yet playfully.

The next thing he knew was Torao's lips on his. Sogo wrapped his arms around his neck and Torao pulled him closer by his grabbing onto his hips. They made out until the elevator rang and they were forced to pull away.

Torao lead him out of the elevator by still grabbing onto his hand. Soon, Sogo found himself inside a very familiar suite. After all, it was the suite dedicated to Torao Mido.
