Summary
Thirteen years after Odysseus sailed for Troy, Ithaca has learned how to live without its king.
Telemachus has grown up beneath the shadow of an empty throne. When Antinous, the son of Eupeithes, is brought to the palace to be raised beside him, Telemachus finds something he never expected: a friend and eventually the one person who makes the lonely halls of Ithaca feel like home.
But as the years pass, the world begins to demand different things from them. Telemachus must prepare to inherit a kingdom he never asked for, while Antinous struggles beneath the weight of expectations placed upon him by his family and his name.
