Ena was sitting on her couch, watching Madoka Magica, an anime her and Mizuki had started watching lately. Ena only watched when Mizuki was there, she didn't want to get ahead of her girlfriend. Mizuki unfortunately didn't have any good streaming apps, so she pirated most of the show she'd watch.
They both really enjoyed the show, and Mizuki kept pointing out that Homura and Madoka reminded her of her and Ena. They were about halfway through episode 8, when everything went wrong.
Mizuki and Ena were having a sleepover at the Shinonome's house. Mizuki had gone into the kitchen to get a cup of lemonade for her and Ena.
"Hey, Enanan, where do you keep your cups?!" Mizuki called to Ena.
"Cabinet above the microwave!" Ena called back.
Mizuki reached up and took two glass cups, they looked pretty nice. Mizuki got the lemonade out of the fridge, almost dropping it because of how unexpectedly heavy it was. She put some ice in the glasses, then poured some lemonade into each of them.
"Hurry up!" Ena called impatiently.
"I'm coming, I'm coming!"
Just as Mizuki was about to walk out of the kitchen, she felt someting on her foot. It was a roach. Ena heard a squeal and the sound of something breaking in the kitchen.
"Mizuki!! Are you ok?" Ena came running to the kitchen to see shattered glass, ice, and a lot of lemonade on the floor. In the middle of everything was a shocked Mizuki.
"Mizuki, what happened?" Ena asked soothingnly.
"There was a roach on my foot and I just...." Mizuki's voice trailed off. "Ena, I'm so sorry!!"
"Mizuki I could care less about the stupid cups, are YOU ok?" Ena was checking Mizuki all over for scratches and bruises.
"Awww, Enanan's worried for me!" Mizuki tried to force a smile.
Ena was not amused, and kept on asking Mizuki if she was ok. There turned out to be multiple jagged pieces of glass in Mizuki's left foot. Mizuki didn't enjoy the process of removing those pieces, but as long as Ena was there, it would be ok.
"H-hey, Enanan I-I'm really sorry about breaking th-" Mizuki's sentence was cut off with a little kiss from Ena.
"Shhh, Mizu, I told you I don't care about the glass. I just want you to be ok." Ena whispered soothingly. She planted a small kiss on Mizuki's forehead, and gently wiped away the tears forming at the pinkette's eyes.
Mizuki leaned into Ena's touch, feeling very safe and protected. She loved the way Ena could always make her feel better. She really was the luckiest human ever, to have such a caring girlfriend.
"Hey, Ena, y'know I love you a lot..." Mizuki murmured softly, but just loud enough for Ena to hear. Ena smiled, she was about to melt due to Mizuki's cute little voice.
"I love you too, cutie..." Ena whispered, pulling the last piece of glass out of Mizuki's foot. This earned a soft gasp of pain and relief from Mizuki. Ena got up, grabbed some wet paper towels, a bandage roll, and a few things Mizuki didn't recognize.
"Ok, this will clean the wounds," Ena said, pointing to the paper towels. "And these will make sure you don't get infected!" Ena showed Mizuki a few tubes of what she assumed was ointment. "The finally, we wrap it all up!"
The two cleaned the mess up, and around 30 minutes later, they were ready to snuggle and watch their anime. Unfortunately, the lovers realized something.
"Enanan!!!! You forgot to pause the TV!!"
