“Oh!” Mirage froze in place, optics riveted on the tree in front of him. Resting on the trunk, with eyes closed and toes gripping the bark, was an Earth-small frog with a striking blue and black coloration. “Aren’t you lovely!”
He took a few quick image captures and forwarded them to Hound and Alpha Trion. Then he activated his audio and video recorders and settled in to observe the frog for as long the creature would allow it.
”What a remarkable specimen!” Alpha Trion sent back. ”Earth fauna continues to amaze me.”
”Wow, she’s gorgeous! I hope you get to see her hunt!” Hound replied. ”Please send video if you do!”
”If I am so lucky, you will be the first to know, Mirage told his parter.
The frog, however, continued sleeping for some time.
