Work Text:
Karasu knew he was being followed. It wasn't that hard to deduce, Otoya could be subtle and silent as he wanted, but for someone like Karasu, it was never difficult to notice movements or steps that have been casually moving as he moved and didn't seem to want to leave anytime soon.
He was also doing a worse job than Hiori that other time, and that said it all. And the other two people following Otoya were even worse than him, their bickering was so audible it made Karasu roll his eyes.
Late evening after having spent the day with his teammates going around Tokyo, Karasu was more than tired and even more in need to have a nice dinner and finally get to the motel room he had booked. There was no way he would have spent hours to no end on a train in the middle of the night, so he couldn't wait to get comfortable and pass out in a bed.
Though, he had a date he couldn't miss, and he didn't want to miss it either. He had been looking forward to spend some nice time with him since they got into the program, but of course, it couldn't go as smoothly as he had hoped, not after what he had accidentally said.
Dropping the I'm taken bomb on a group of girls asking to hang out was never a big deal, they usually got the hint, and if they didn't, he would leave before they could start insisting too much. Dropping that bomb around people like Otoya and Chigiri though caused more surprise in them than in the girls group. At least Yukimiya was chill about it, but Otoya started asking dumb questions as soon as they left, not after having spent seven seconds with his mouth open like Ain't no waaay…
What was so surprising about it, Karasu didn't know. What he did know was that Otoya didn't really get the hint. At all. And he started his discourse with I didn't know you got a girl at home… Is she hot? Can you share? Show a pic? Like he wasn't talking about his girlfriend. He already knew he had no shame, but damn.
Worst of all, Karasu didn't even have a girlfriend, but there was no way he was gonna come out like that because of the irritation with his pestering. So, apparently, his girlfriend Hiromi and him had been together for a year, and No, it ain't an open relationship.
Now, he knew they had been following him since he left to meet with her. Because of course he had to say he was gonna meet with her, with the hope they would have left it at that and would have let him go. That clearly backfired, much to his luck.
He had texted his boyfriend about it, something like I'm being followed cause i accidentally told the gang I got a girlfriend. Help? to which he had answered with a simple Damn that sucks get better soon. Meet up at the place then. NOT the station. And I'll be late. See ye later!
That had not really helped him in anyway and had only made his worry worse, but life sucked like that. It wasn't him who was overly worried about their relationship in general anyway, sure, he valued his privacy, especially when it came to that kinda privacy, but he would have been okay with their teammates knowing, not the whole world, for more than one reason, but, if Otoya and the others found out, it wouldn't have been a problem, for him. He didn't know what he thought about it, but maybe he wouldn't have minded either. He would have found out about it eventually.
He did receive another text as he waited for him at the place where they had decided to eat, a Did ye show my pic? to which he just answered with a How could have i done that? He received a thumbs up and a I'm crossin the street rn! He turned to see him, and found himself staring at the only person crossing the street with his mouth open worse than Otoya before.
The girl walking towards him had shoulder-length straight black hair with a fringe and some shorter locks contouring her face. She was dressed in a way that made him instinctively look away, his cheeks burning slightly, as the bodysuit she wore highlighted her curves and body in a too evident way for his liking. Her skirt was also short enough to risk seeing what was underneath as she walked. She wore knee-high boots with a not too high heel, and had neon blue longish nails that matched the vibrant color of her eyes.
Karasu recognized him only because of the eyes, their shade too familiar for it to be just a coincidence. As soon as he did though, he was also able to notice the faint roundness of his face shape and the long lashes that were now matching with the black of his hair instead of his natural hair color.
She spotted him as she reached the sidewalk, a wide smile taking over her calm expression. When she spoke, her voice was more pitched than her normal one, softer, if possible. "Tabi-chan, there ye are!"
Karasu wasn't able to fully get a grip until she spoke while standing in front of him.
"My, my, am I that nice to look at?" her voice still high, her eyes clearly amused. "Yer actin' like ye've never seen me before…"
Karasu recognized Hiori in the teasing tone. Because that was Hiori, yeah, but he really had him acting like he had never seem him, or a girl, before. He snapped his mouth close and cleared his throat. "Damn."
"I know, right?" she giggled, the sound so familiar Karasu had no doubts anymore. "Took me like… one hour and a half to get this done… I take ye like the view, mh?"
"I–" he cleared his throat again, looked away and looked back at her, his eyes falling on the uncovered skin showing the middle of her chest and… well… "Howdya do that…?"
"Got a pair of adhesive push up pads with no lace, ye know the ones ye apparently put on yer tits and stick to the clothes and they keep 'em up as if ye got an invisible bra on?"
"I can't say I'm… familiar with them, no."
She rolled her eyes. "Well, it's workin' nicely, ain't it?"
Karasu wanted to get down on his knees and start praying for his own safety cause damn, he was not gonna survive the night. "Yeah."
"Man, ma eyes are up here."
"Right, fuck–" he forced himself to go back at looking at his face. "I wasn't expectin' this."
"Well, is it a nice surprise at least?"
"It is," he nodded, his throat felt dry as fuck, "it's a– a nice… uh…"
"I'm havin' a bruh moment right now."
"Yer the one dressed like this–"
"Yeah, 'cause ain't no way I'm gonna come out to those guys," he said, "for now at least… it caught me off guard, yer text, I was…" he stopped suddenly, his voice lowering. "Are they still 'round?"
"Far enough that they can't hear us, but yeah," he muttered, "why?"
She smiled, a smile too creepy to be excited, before grasping his hips and pulling him in for a sudden kiss that made him let out a startled moan, one not loud enough to be heard by them, but clear enough to be heard by her. Their teeth clashed and she grinned on his lips, licking at his tongue in that way that always made him melt against her. He wrapped his arms around his waist and had the impulse to squeeze her ass because he had missed him so much and he felt too nice to avoid it.
It took him an embarrassing amount of time to remember that they were being watched. It was her words what made him groan and let go of him with a worse face than before, 'cause he was right: he was no exhibitionist, and he wasn't gonna start being one anytime soon, or just… not now.
"Ah, spotted 'em," he whispered as he let go of him, "wanna introduce me?"
"Why would I–?"
"Oh my…! Jealous of yer friends?" her eyebrows shot up, her tone raised. "C'mon, Tabi-chan, ye've been tellin' me such good things about yer soccer friends! Didya have fun today? I wanna knowww…"
"Keep quiet–!"
"Don't order me around."
Karasu felt his heart jump in his chest, his mouth half-open in a mixture of feelings he was not expecting to feel that night. "Hiromi…"
"Is that my name?" she smiled sweetly. "Cute."
"Yeah, okay, let's–" he cleared his throat, "let's get inside."
She nodded, her smile didn't falter. "Hand?"
Karasu hummed, taking his hand in his and giving it a light squeeze. "Yer the cute one."
"No, no, tonight I'm hot as fuck," she snickered, her eyes on him. "Right?"
Karasu squeezed his hand again and pulled him in to steal another kiss. He grinned. "Ya so are, Hi-chan."
She squeezed his hand back. "Don't worry about these clothes by the way, ye can take 'em off me later."
"Oh, no, yer keepin' 'em on," he shook his head, his cheeks still burning. "They ain't gonna go to waste."
She looked at him with wide eyes and an even wider smile. "I knew ye woulda loved this."
"What can I say?" he smiled back. "My boyfriend is just beautiful in any way."
His eyes narrowed slightly, they shined with a light he knew far too well. "Can't wait."

He had hoped nothing would have happened, as they quietly chatted after dinner while avoiding judging stares and greedy glances from the other people in the ramen bar, but of course, that couldn't have been the end now, could it?
That was why Karasu found a pic of them from Otoya captioned with just Damn shes fine asf. It made Hiori laugh while he told him to answer with a She thanks you. Karasu didn't want to send him that, he didn't fully recognize his own behavior, but he felt way more aware and protective over him than ever before. It was probably the fact that she was there, chest almost fully out and leaning over the table to look at his phone's screen, and the people around them kept eyeing them as if they were some kind of alien species. Had they all never seen a woman before? Still, the fact that it was his woman they were looking at gave him a specific kind of feeling he didn't wanna act on. It would have ended badly for all the parts involved.
"Text him I wanna meet 'em," Hiori told him as they left the place.
Karasu was honestly exhausted, and he did not feel like interacting with anyone outside of him again for the night. "What happened to This relationship is a secret and all that jazz?"
"Let a girl have fun," she rolled her eyes, "they don't know it's me, so all is fair."
Karasu hummed. "I feel like yer enjoyin' this way more than me."
"Don't lie to yerself like that, babe," he smiled, "I ain't the one with a full boner between us."
"Now yer the one straight up sayin' bullshit."
"Give it five minutes and we'll see who's right."
"Ya wish," Karasu was just about to look up the way to the motel when Hiori had the great idea to gasp and start waving around, probably just to embarrass him or some shit like that. Yeah. Karasu had a lot of things going through his head all at once, but they were all cancelled when he saw someone wave back at her.
"Tabi-chan, there's yer soccer friends!!" she called his attention.
Karasu felt a number of years being taken off his lifespan. "Yer impossible."
"Ye love me like this," she whispered, her eyes shining.
"Unfortunately," he sighed, the smile on his lips truthful, before grabbing her hand and pulling her with him as he ran away from them.
Hiori was laughing so loudly some people turned to stare at them. Their hands were locked in a grip so tight they almost hurt, but Karasu could feel it just barely anyway. It came to a point where she sped up and ended up being the one pulling him in that sprint, her hair waved in the night, her skirt danced as they ran, Karasu couldn't fathom how she could dare to run that fervently while dressed like that, but it made a specific kind of warmth bloom in his chest.
Fuck, he couldn't have been more in love.
They reached the place and stood outside of it while catching their breath between laughter. Hiori was saying something about how confused they had looked when Karasu had started sprinting like that, and Karasu just retorted that at least now they weren't following them anymore.
"Man, this is insane," she laughed, her eyes shining so bright, Karasu lost himself in the sky painted in them. "Ye always manage to surprise me, Tabi-chan."
"I'll keep doin' that if ya quit it with the nickname."
"Tabi-chan?" she asked. "Let's get in the room and see if ye still want me to quit it…"
Karasu let out a laugh at that, his eyes crinkling and his face flushing again. He took his hand in his and pulled him in for another kiss, for no reason at all other than wanting to feel her smile on his lips as they kissed.
He couldn't wait to finally fucking pass out for the night, not after having ruined his spectacular look, of course.
