Russia looked, honestly, good. He was dressed in a dark, elegant blazer and of course his favourite white scarf.
The cards were beatiful. Their surfaces shone like gold and those wonderful designs… Russia adored that type of cards.
Because he felt like a king, whenever he dealt the cards.
Okay, maybe sometimes Russia was a little narcissistic, for thinking like that, but he ignored that.

He didn’t like chess. Maybe because of those weird rules. And chess was too easy for him.
Russia was looking with boredom at China. China had just challenged him to a game of chess.
Not very exciting.

Card games, especially poker, were so interesting for him. Sometimes you need intelligence, or just luck.
And Russia had both.

America winced when he just lost one hundred dollars.
“I will kill myself” he also murmured and put his cards on the table.
“Good luck, sir America” the Russian replied.
The US pinched the bridge of his nose.
And Russia was very content.

Russia learned to play cards when he was in the Vietnam War. Cards were one of his few good memories from that time.
He won. Again.
America sighed and went away.
Amazing.
