Oscar Piastri is his platoon's only specially trained sniper and he was practically left for dead when Major Mark Webber commanded him to stay in a forest where nobody from the army was until the warhorn sounded. The work is written in both Russian and English, all the dialogues are written in the language in which it occurs. Yes, Ilya sometimes addresses Shane in Russian. And viceversa. And many of them sometimes jump back and forth. For me this is important because language is an important part of consciousness. But do not be scared, every phrase has a translation!
