Chapter Text
It's been five months since the war. Everything has gone back to normal, well as normal as it can be.
After my three days with Will. We started to hang out more. I started helping out in the infirmary in the afternoon and he sat at my table at breakfast.
But nothing good could last forever as the first week went by I started to notice how the awestruck eyes that once looked at me started to turn back into their scared glances.
I knew that nobody would want a Hades kid around somebody who practically radiated death. Soon enough people started to avoid me as usual. Slowly people started to try and avoid me more and more.
I tried to convince myself that Will was right and that it was all in my head but I saw it. I noticed how they flinched when I walked up and how wary they are.
I hated how they stared at me.
So I started to pack my things slowly I put everything into my black backpack stopping to look at a hoodie I borrowed from Will, he had let me borrow it for a night but I forgot to give it back.
Picking it up I put it onto my bed and wrote a note.

Will if you're reading this I'm sorry but I already left. I know you say that all the hate is in my head but I see them look at me like I'm a freak.
To put it simply I felt trapped by too many people everywhere, too many emotions.
I just want you to know I'm safe and I chose to do this I'm going to my father's Palace for a while...

*First person* Nico's pov
I look back at the sticky note placed on Will's hoodie. I grab my backpack and focus on the underworld specifically Hades Palace. I appear in the middle of the throne room in front of my father.
"Father"
Nico
"I have a request"
Hades
"What is it?'
Nico
"I need you to get information on something called the Pit, it has caused quite some problems nowadays. And I need you to get rid of it."
Hades
"Why do I have to do this?!"
Nico
"That's not all I want you to try and meet as many people that have been revived by the pit as possible to see if they deserve to be among the living"
"What if they aren't...?"
Nico
"You'll know what to do. Now do you accept?"
Hades
I thought about it, it's not like I really had a choice. I'd probably be for some way or another and I'd have an excuse not to go back to camp.
Slowly I nodded my head yes. I couldn't wrap my head around it.
"Nico I want you to be able to live normally... I know I'm not the best of dads but I wish for you to love a happy life."
Hades
"This quest is more important than it seems you'll be the ambassador to the gods from here on out."
"Huh!!?"
"Don't worry that means you will simply become stronger. Tonight my blessing will be placed then you're to stay here for a month training."
Hades
"Why me? Why not Percy he's clearly stronger."
Nico
"You have just as much potential as Jackson did. Now head to your room training is to begin tomorrow."
Hades
Slowly I walked to my room it was right above the damned souls. I changed into my pajamas, a skull tee shirt and some skeleton PJ pants.
I watched the clock as it ticked closer to midnight.
12:00 AM
I felt it instantly like my body was going to explode.
"AHHHHH IT HURTS STOPPPP"
My body was shaking Non-Stop as the pain slowly went away I felt like I had just been brutally attacked. I started to get off the floor then fell straight back into the bed.
Closing my eyes I decided that I'd never just accept a blessing like that again. I wonder how Will is?

Will
I just finished the last of my paperwork in the infirmary and was heading out when I noticed Nico hadn't stopped by all day.
I would be the first to admit that I had a crush on him. It had started in the Battle of Manhattan when he showed up with an entire army and Gods at his side.
Then it started to become more and more like I was in love every day he spent in the infirmary by the time he got out I had already been head over heels.
"Austin I'm heading out to the Hades cabin!"
Will
"Go get your man!"
Austin
"He's not my man!"
Will
Blushing as I walked out I headed down the dark path to the Hades cabin.
I opened the door.
"Nico you ready to head to dinner? Nico?"
I walked in it looked empty his clothes were packed and hus sword was missing.. I felt a brick in my stomach i didn't want to think he'd actually leave again.
I slowly walked up to his bed I noticed one of the two hoodies that he borrowed. It had a note on it as I read through his messy hand writing I felt tears in the corner of my eyes.
Picking up the hoodie that had the note I walked out the door and headed to the big house.
I walked up to the doors and knocked. I heard a muffled come in.
Mr. D and Chiron were playing cards at the table as usual.
"Nico left again"
Their eyes widen and their jaws go slack it would have been funny if Nico wasn't gone. They both drop their cards as I hand them the note keeping the hoodie in my arms.

Hi this is my first chapter writing about mythology I've been a fan of Percy Jackson since I was in third grade so I'm really happy to write this I also used to watch Batman and all the old shows when I was younger but I forgot most of the details so I'll be going back and rewatching that.
Hope y'all enjoyed it I am sure I'll write some more soon.
