Most think their universe is the only one but that is a foolish way of thinking. However, few actually realize the more likely existence of multiple universes and even fewer know the actual truth behind it all. When reality in an universe begins it's not because of some unnamed force, it's because a new cosmic entity was born and with it the creation of another multiverse where new people, new experiences, and new, well… everything comes to be. These beings who some might refer to as gods are merely the children of a long line of cosmic beings that came from the “Mother” and “Father” of everything. They are the ones that started all realities so long ago that no one except them could actually tell you what happened exactly or when.
One might wonder what the names of the two beings that started all existences throughout every multiverse, but they have no names, only the parental names their children gave them. Their children however have many names, some from their parents and some self given. Not all of their children were sentient or akin to a person, some are more akin to an object than a person but the love the two parents have for their children is all the same. There are even a couple offspring that came into existence as a new species living among the mortals although these beings are usually the… however many greats, grandchildren of the “Mother” and “Father” of everything.
To give a few examples of some of the children, grandchildren and so on and so forth that mortals are aware of are, the Zero Point, Eywa, Kwamis, the Archivists, the Titans, Domino aka The Guardian, and many others. Some of these children have the ability to contact or travel to other realities but choose not to in order to keep the peace in their own reality. However some may ask for help from other realities or interfere with others or their own regardless of if they should or not. While all of these cosmic offspring create more multiverses when they come into existence some are not aware of their cosmic importance. Some do not care about their cosmic purpose in the multiverse and some try not to interfere unless necessary and very few play active roles either in the multiverse they made with their birth or others that their relatives made with their own births.
What this means for you and I however is that despite these cosmic beings being the cause of ours and many other realities it doesn’t necessarily mean that we have no influence on realities ourselves. When we create our own made up world in our imagination or as a story we are inadvertently creating another reality, this also means that our own reality could be written or imagined by someone out there right now and we wouldn’t even know it. This is also not to mention that every time anyone in their universe makes a major potentially life or world changing decision it could cause a new section of their multiverse to open up. To give an example, when the last airbender of one universe made the decision to run away he got caught in a storm and froze himself for a hundred years. Had he made the decision to stay, their story could have gone very differently. However in another example where the decision made does not matter would be if a spider superhero had to choose between milk or orange juice for breakfast, while a decision is still made it is not one that would be likely to cause an entirely new section of their multiverse to open up.
It goes to show that everything is not only connected but has potential to connect if it hasn’t already. One might compare all realities to the tree of life or the tree of time and that is not necessarily far off but it is still more complicated than that, so much so that mortals have little hope of ever truly understanding it. So the next time you read a story or make one up yourself, be aware that somewhere out there in the vast cosmos of all reality is that very same story being lived out by the people written about or imagined in that story. Even if you make a decision that may affect you or the world around you it could lead to another section of your multiverse or timeline if you want to look at it in that way. It goes without saying that the “Mother” and “Father” of everything should be thanked for giving us all life and the freedom to make decisions and experience the world around us and in some cases other realities and their worlds too.
