In The Depths

Summary:

270 years after the titans involved in the Titanomachy were released from Tartarus, the state of the world was fine... mostly.
The sudden reappearance of Chronos, Time Incarnate, who's been missing for centuries, sparks rumors and a growing rivalry between him and the current timekeeper, Kronos, caused by their contrasting ways of stopping timelines facing annihilation.
But what was actually happening in that mind of his? He looks fine, he seems fine, nothing wrong at the surface.
But inside? Nope. Absolutely not. And what happens, if Chronos decides enough is enough?

Deep below, that would be a breaking point.

Chapter 1: Where It Started

Chapter Text

The year was 1750. The year where the titans involved in the Titanomachy were released from Tartarus.
Including Kronos. He was tasked with ruling over Elysium, but most importantly, watching over the timelines, because Chronos, Time Incarnate, had mysteriously disappeared thousands of years ago, leaving the timelines with no one to watch over.
Until now. The year is 2010.
He first reappeared on Olympus, shocking the gods, even across different pantheons.

Chronos was mostly welcomed back, though with rumors and questions, except for Kronos.

One of the reasons they were even rivals were their contrasting methods of dealing with timelines facing annihilation.
Chronos chose to freeze the timelines, effectively stopping whatever anomaly inside it that's causing the divergence.
Kronos, however, chose mostly to intervene and cause the canon events that could prevent annihilation himself. It didn't affect any of the other timelines at all.

Still, the rivalry continued over 20 years.
