Chapter Text
Flowery was dead
Well, at least he assumed he was dead.
After the knight did a number on him, slicing his torso open wide, he could hardly tell what was happening. His hearing had been replaced with a sharp ringing, piercing through his head painfully. He could not feel much- only an agonising, throbbing pain in his insides, after the knight almost scooped his guts out, cleaving him in one hit. Everything he had tried- every attack, every stat change was insignificant to the knight. No matter how much damage he did- the knight saw right through his fake stats and nullified everything. He was nothing and the knight was everything.
His useless body fell limp through the air- his broken limbs gaining cuts everywhere from various thorns and rocks in the air- hot, thick sap raining out from his wounds. His arms and his legs- essentially just his entire body- could not move on their own, his body trapped in an agonising state of paralysis as he descended into the abyss of the dark world. His finely tailored suit was torn everywhere, his sleeves, chest, legs, but most prominently- his stomach. Both his shirt and blazer were torn to shreds around his lower torso, where he assumed the knight had brutally gashed previously.
Finally, with a horrible- gut wrenching thud, he met the ground. Sap trickled out from his chest, at an alarming rate. Flowery brought his ever so slightly less useless arms up to his wounds, and managed to look down at them.
A gaping gash, stretching across his chest. He saw his insides threatening to spill out onto the ground- stomach, intestines and all. He grabbed his wound, feeling his heart beating weakly against his cold palms. Patter, patter, patter.
His breathing became irregular, as the intensity of the pain, and the severity of the situation became apparent to him.
Surely- surely flowers can survive anything? Surely..?
His breathing became erratic- his heart beating faster- frantically. Thud- thud thud! Flowery’s vision began to falter- Petals, sap, guts, grass all blurred into one as everyting set in.
He was dying
He was DYING.
DYING!
Tears began to well up in his eyes, he tried to scream but his voice made no sound. Why couldnt he speak? He tried again. Only a wet, strangled gasp was heard, quietly.
Was his voice damaged? Lord- was his voice damaged!?
He barely felt the sap running down from his neck, but it was a sensation that was real. So undeniably real. He had worked so hard, trying to master the art of speech- voice-clips were so incredibly hard to learn for darkner and lightner alike. They took ages of just refining the normal speech into highly pronounced, flamboyant dialect. Now he couldn't even talk. He has a mouth but cannot scream. Forced into silence, unable to tell his story to anyone but himself. It hurt. It really, really hurt. He could hear the flowers from the depths of the flower kingdom. They were yelling, running around trying to get after the knight. Though the talking eventually lowered to whispers, then silence. They were gone, and he was in the dark. A darkness he had never seen before- alone. Flowery was abandoned. He was helpless- a flowers dream was broken into thousands of shards of glass. He accepted his fate, and simply laid there, unmoving- he was going to d-

“Owh blue… im such a criminell! How could i lets that- hic- darn knight gets aways?!” Blue gazed over at the poor, sobbing mess that was his cowboy boyfriend- yellow.
Blue: “It isn’t your fault, okay dear?”
Yellow started to get up, his legs shaking subtly as he looked down on Blue. Blue was ever so slightly shorter than Yellow, however Yellow was around 6’3, so nobody else in the flower kingdom really matched him- except
Yellow: “B-but- hic- he taken Flowery! He could be died by nows!”
Yellow’s legs gave out from under him, and he stopped trying to stand and just laid there, gripping his stomach as if feeling pain would make it all go away. Blue immediately ran over to Yellow, practically throwing himself at the overly tall cowboy on the floor.
Blue: ”Oh Yellow….”
Blue pulled yellow into a warm, tight embrace. Tears fell from the two lover’s eyes, dripping onto each other’s clothing rhythmically. The intense grip blue had seemed to calm yellow down, even if only slightly. But oh boy were they both such a mess. Yellow’s orange eyeliner ran down his cheeks, mixing with his wet sobs.
Blue: “It’s alright, darling Yellow. I’m sure he is okay now. We’ll see him all okay.”
They both sat in solidarity, on the roof of the castle, as Blue wiped yellow’s pigmented tears. It was all too soon when blue’s hands touched gently against Yellow’s head. Their bodies fit together like a jigsaw, as Blue held Yellow’s soft, golden hair. Breathtaking pink skies put their minds at rest as they embraced, peacefully. Beautifully. And as Blue leaned in to yellows face- Abruptly, a scream was heard, forcing the two to pull apart. Bellowing through the lands, a male voice was heard-

Green and orange were sat in the kitchen, cooking their final items and throwing their last punches before the world closed for good, the geyser of darkness sealed before their eyes. They didn’t want to leave it all behind, orange had loved sparring and green had always dreamed of opening their own cafe for ages. For all that to be over so soon really hurt them.
After the knights arrival, they both attempted to follow after flowery, green gave orange a cake to run rapidly, but to no avail. Flowery was on a different level to them, and they only realised too late. They both worked in silence, as no words were needed to display the grief they felt for the world as they knew it.
Orange was hardly keeping it together. She really hated being stationary her whole life, and absolutely hated the idea of becoming object again.
She walked up to green’s legs, and wrapped her tiny arms around one, burrowing her head into the trouser leg. Her poor soul was so angry at the world- why was she forced to be something she disliked? Why would the prophecy be so cruel?
Just as Orange began to overthink, her thoughts clouding her actions and her tears threatening to spill, green wrapped an arm around her small, trembling body.
Orange’s quiet sobs soon followed after. One tear, then another, then a gushing stream. It was so unlike her, but so incredibly needed.
Orange:”T-thank you green”

“Uuu Seth why are we not playing?????”
Aqua was running around the library, throwing knives at every small object in sight, out of pure boredom and confusion. Nobody had told her about the fact that flowery is now missing, or that asgore was taken by the knight.
Seth:”I’m busy. Soon.”
Seth was stood amongst the various shelves and stacks of books. They were frantically sorting books, then reordering, then sorting again. Their purple hair swayed as they paced around the place, trying to get their mind off of the imminent knowledge that everything was going to ruin.
Aqua: ”But-“
Aqua couldn’t finish her sentence before Seth lost it.
Seth: ”Can you just be QUIET! THIS IS NOT A GAME! Flowery is gone- Everyone’s crying and I can’t do anything except touch these books OVER. AND. OVER!
…
Just- just leave me alone.”
Aqua stopped the intricate knife pattern she was forming- and stared at Seth, puzzled. She had never seen Seth so angry before- it was always banter or mild annoyance- never… this. Before Seth could process the words that just came out of their mouth, Aqua bolted over to Seth and wrapped her arms tightly around them. Seth froze up- they were so confused and overwhelmed. Very overwhelmed.
Seth leaned into the hug, dropping to their knees and embracing Aqua’s small form into a hug.
FLOWERY!

His eyes weakly opened, then he rapidly winced as another spasm of pain came, his guts only held in by his hands and his faltering will. He choked back some sap in his throat as he recognised the rapidly approaching figure. The prince of the dark-
Ralsei.
Ralsei ran over, his small legs taking him as fast as they can. Flowery had no energy- he could not cover his wounds in time before-
Ralsei: FLOWERY! FLOWERY OH MY GOODNESS!
Ralsei fell towards flowery, from running for so long without great strength or legs. His glasses fell off his head- cracking slightly on the grassy, petal lined ground.
Flowery made a pitiful attempt to talk again- but he only managed to make an almost silent husky noise. Ralsei could see what it was, bright as day. His vocal cords were gravely damaged.
However, the more pressing issue was the fact that flowery had just almost been gutted in-front of them- helpless to do anything but watch as he died.
Ralsei immediately cast heal prayer, he cast it until his TP ran out many times over. Flowery felt the warmth provided to his stomach area below his hands, which slowly fell to the ground, uncovering the severity of the gash. It was abysmal. He should’ve been dead by then, if it weren't for his hands holding himself together. Flowery’s vision quickly faded, as he fell into an uneasy rest against the rough bark of the tree.
By the end, Ralsei was collapsed, limp on flowery’s side, curled up beside him. As Flowerly strenuously opened his eyes, he noticed that his wound was almost healed; though a massive scar was left on his chest, and he was still unable to move. He also noticed that he was.. shirtless. The various minor cuts were still yet to heal, however it wasn’t life threatening. His stomach was bandaged with ralsei’s pink scarf, a fair bit of sap seeped through, but it was relatively low compared the gushing stream earlier. He was just glad that he wasn’t fully exposed. Flowery hated looking weak- and especially hated his not-so-meaty body- as he was fairly skinny and definitely not muscular. He hated looking at himself, even on a normal day. It’s why he never got a mirror. After all, his hair was naturally fabulous.
And, most of all, he could talk!
It was unimaginably painful to, however he could utter a few words per few minutes. He was so, unimaginably confused.
He really believed Ralsei hated him, so much that he had began to hate him right back. Then why was the boy curled up against him after pushing past his limits countless times in a few hours. His enemy had given everything he could to save him.
Flowery:”R-raly..?
…
T-thank you…”
