“King had no time to dwell on it, however, as he typed in the last line of code and pressed enter. By now, everything was unstable. He could even feel himself shake and glitch out (it felt almost like his skin was being torn off and put back on over and over again). The computer put on a loading bar, and he watched it go forward before reaching the very edge and stopping right before completing.
‘[BOINK!]’ he cursed as he reached out and shook the console.
The bar held still for an agonizing minute, in which Kinger could feel his insides being mixed up, a painful, nauseating feeling, but he held his ground and kept his eyes locked onto the computer screen.
‘For the love of God please,’ he said and smacked it with his hand. The bar finally moved and dinging sounded, not only from the computer, but from seemingly everywhere around him. The glitching stopped, and Kinger breathed a sigh of relief as everything stilled.”

“He was out of control,” Pomni admits. “But do we actually have any other options?”
“Is that — is getting him back even something we can do?” Gangle fidgets with her hands.
Pomni turns to Kinger, who stands facing away from the group, gazing at the now-grey surface of the lake.

Summary
The humans regretted having erased Caine after realizing that leaving was impossible for them; the only chance for any type of stability was to bring Caine back, who apparently hadn't been completely erased. Kinger managed to do it in just a few hours, although... Caine didn't seem to be the same he used to be.

Caine rose slightly, his form changed while a playful laugh echoed, from the orb grew a body, with arms, legs, and a hat the same color as his entire being on his head, he was like a red silhouette with white eyes and a matching mouth.
He immediately launched himself at Kinger, excited to see humans, among them one of his creators!"Hahaha!" The AI laughed cheerfully. "I'm so excited to meet you!"

Summary
Someone proposed this idea on reddit: what if the TADC cast all brought Caine back with the power of conjuring? And then they all communicate with him and live happily ever after? I like this idea for an ending. It makes more sense than AUs where Caine is recycled or binned, from a technical standpoint. (Revival AU)
Plot: Caine's revival is bittersweet; he has no memory of the past 20 or something years and is extremely unknowledgeable of humans. He hasn't learned about them yet. However, I am not reducing him to a baby in this story. He's different because they don't have Scratch's input (the wild, indecipherable, abstract stuff) but he's basically the same Caine otherwise, just a little more robotic and "functioning". ...Will he ever regain his memories?
