Chapter Text
1. Max
Max had noticed something different about George as of late, his omega usually smelt of sea salt and caramel, yet as of late, his smell had taken a softer tone.
Every time max was near his omega, there was a more milky smell coming from the other man — it wasn’t an unappealing scent at all, but it was strange that there was such a sudden change in the other man’s scent. Max wasn’t really use to it, and was confused as to why this sudden change had even occurred.
He knew that it couldn’t be due to stress, as George always had a sharper scent during those periods — he just couldn’t seem to put his finger on why exactly George smelt the way he did.
“George, Schat?” Max was lounging on their bed, watching George get dressed — he could see a slight pudge to the other’s stomach, not that he cared if the other man gained any weight, he was beautiful no matter what.
“Mh?” Slipping on one of Max’s shirts, that was looking a little less baggy on him than usual, George acknowledged his partner. Max waited for a moment, watching George take his trousers off — so he was just in Max’s shirt and a pair of boxers.
“Has anyone said anything about your scent lately?” George frowned, a hand absentmindedly coming to his stomach without even realising it, almost like it was a habit.
Max observed George’s behaviour, noticing the way his hand was rubbing against the slight swell there on his stomach, it was odd, but he ignored it. George was just odd like that sometimes, maybe he had a stomach ache.
“What do you mean?” George climbed onto the bed, crawling towards his alpha, and curling up against his side — max was warm, practically like George’s personal heater, causing the younger man to cling to his alpha.
Max’s hand came to George’s hair, slowly running through the curls in order to soothe the taller. George purred softly, nuzzling his nose against Max’s scent glands being even clingier than usual.
“You’re very clingy today baby.” Max hummed as George continued to rub his nose against his neck, inhaling his scent as deeply as he possibly could — it tickled a little, and max smiled softly at his partner.
“Mh. Anyway… what were you saying?” George continued to purr, having forgotten what max had been saying previously — max placed soft kisses to George’s temple, before speaking up once more.
“Has anyone said anything about your scent lately doll?” Max’s hand moved under George’s thigh, rubbing softly at the skin there as George hooked his leg around Max’s waist. He was practically trying to become one with max, clinging desperately to the older man.
“No.. nobody has said anything to me, why? Do I smell bad? I haven’t been worried lately or anything, so I don’t know why my scent would smell different, or strange or anything.” Max smiled softly at George’s rambling, waiting patiently for the man to slow down before he could speak up again.
“Baby, slow down, you don’t smell bad at all, I did not mean it like that love. You just smell different, maybe my nose is just acting up or something baby, you don’t smell bad, don’t worry.” He peppered soft kisses to George’s cheeks, forehead, eyes, jaw and this his lips — hoping that he had understood that he hadn’t meant anything bad by commenting on his scent, he was just confused towards the sudden change.
“Oh, okay.” George beamed softly up at max from his position, his teeth showing with the wide grin on his lips. Max placed another soft kiss against George’s lips — although he still couldn’t ignore the change in scent.. he would have to ask someone about it tomorrow, his best bet would probably be Kimi.
The next day, when they arrived at the paddock, he made sure to pull Kimi to the side — wanting to question the boy on whether he had noticed George’s smell being different, seeing as he spent the most time with the omega.
“Kimi, have you noticed anything different about George lately?” Kimi tilted his head, trying to think about it for a moment, wondering if he had noticed anything different.
“Hm. I did notice his scent had changed, it smells .. softer.” Max nodded almost instantly, glad he wasn’t the only one who had noticed the difference.
“Yes, I thought it had changed. I asked him about it last night, and he said that nobody had noticed any change.”
“Ah, I think a lot of us at Mercedes noticed, but we agreed to not say anything. We didn’t want to upset him or anything..! I’m sure it’s fine though, maybe he’s just been extra stressed lately?”
“Maybe, though he said he hadn’t been. Maybe he’s just burnt out from everything so far.”
“Yeah, that would make sense.”
“Mhm. Thank you for telling me.” Max patted Kimi on the shoulder, before heading off to his own garage — hoping to try work out what was going on with his omega. Maybe it would be a good idea to call his sister, or mother, they were both well versed in these kind of things.
He spent the rest of the day slightly distracted, counting the time down until he could get out of there and finally call one of his family members in an attempt to understand what was going on — he really hoped that George wasn’t sick or anything.
He waited until George was asleep, the man had been napping more frequently as of late — he rarely used to, and it concerned Max even more than he previously had. Standing on the balcony, he phoned his sister, her being more likely to explain it to him properly — his mother was good, but she was older, may not understand everything nowadays.
“Max? Hello, it’s nice to hear you calling, but what’s up?”
“I had a question I needed to ask, if that’s okay?”
“Of course, what do you need?”
“What does it mean if an omega’s scent changes, and smells almost milky?” His sister went silent, which made him feel nervous. Was she going to tell him that George was going to die or something?
“Maxie.”
“Yes? Is he okay?”
“He’s pregnant.” Max himself then went silent. What?
No way, George couldn’t be pregnant, yes they had been having more unprotected sex — and had been wanting to have a baby, but they had been hoping that it would occur after the championship fight. Max was just slightly glad that it was occurring closer to the end of the season, so George may not need to give up his seat.
Although, with how swollen his belly had been looking earlier.. maybe he was further along than max was presuming.
“Oh.”
“Wow! Does this mean I’m going to be an aunty?” Max could hear the excitement in his sister’s voice, which made him smile softly.
“I guess so, I didn’t even expect this. I can’t believe that I’m going to have a baby with him..”
“Do you think the two of you are ready for this?” Max hesitated, it’s not like they hadn’t spoken about the idea of having children, they both knew that they wanted them together.
Just the thought of George carrying his pups made Max’s soft smile widen. He couldn’t wait to be a father.
“We’ve had discussions, and we want to have children together. Though, he hasn’t noticed yet.”
“No?”
“Nope, I think I’ll wait till he says something just to be sure.”
“That’s probably a good idea.”
Max said goodbye to his sister and ended the call, grinning wider at the fact that he was going to be a father in a few months. He turned his head when he heard the sliding door to the balcony open behind him — George stepping out in just a pair of boxers.
He glanced down at George’s stomach, now that he knew his omega may be pregnant, he also noticed how round his belly looked — he was definitely quite fat along already, meaning he may not actually be able to drive the rest of the season..
Hopefully it didn’t take too long for George himself to notice, as max didn’t want him to put himself, or the baby, at harm by accident. Wrapping an arm around the man’s waist, he pulled him closer, kissing him on the top of the head.
“Hi baby, what do you need?” George poured, a soft whine emitting from the back of his throat as he clung to max.
“Come to bed.”
“Okay, I’m coming.” Max picked George up, carrying him back into their bedroom so they could snuggle in bed beside one another — he couldn’t wait until George realised he is carrying his pup.
2. Lewis
Lewis and George often met up for lunch, or brunch, together. It was a common occurrence from when they had been team mates, and it had continued even after Lewis had left Mercedes.
Today, they had decided to go out for Lunch, the pair going to a familiar restaurant that they always went to — it was so common that Lewis even ordered the meal for George before the other arrived.
George walked in, heading straight for the same table they always sat up, smiling softly at Lewis. He looked tired, and his shirt hugged him a little tightly — but Lewis of course didn’t say anything about this, not wanting to make George feel insecure.
“Hi Georgie, how are you?”
“Hi Lew! I’m good.” George took his seat, grinning widely at his former teammate. The two of them had generic conversation for a while, as they waited for their food to arrive — George sipping on his glass of water patiently.
Finally, the waiter arrive, placing the plates in front of the two men, before heading back off — George stared at the food in front of him, his stomach churning a little. He didn’t know why, but just looking at the food was suddenly making him feel horribly sick.
He swallowed thickly, hoping that he was just feeling this way due to the fact that he was starving — he had eaten this food so much, that there was no way he could not like it. However, just the smell was beginning to make him feel sicker.
He was feeling less and less like he wanted to eat the food before him, saliva pooling in his mouth. God, he may actually be sick. He didn’t know why this suddenly feeling was overwhelming him; he really didn’t want to throw up in front of Lewis.
It’s not like they hadn’t experienced hells with one another previously, but it was still gross to throw up around your friends. So, he abruptly stood up and rushed to the bathroom — ignoring anyone who recognised him and asked for an autograph.
His crashed to the ground, his knees aching painfully with the sudden impact as he hunched over the toilet bowl. He could feel the bile climbing up his throat; he tried desperately to keep it down, but his body refused.
Vomit spilled past his lips, hitting the toilet bowl, as soon as it had started it was like it would never stop. He kept gagging as vomit continued to pour out of him, just making him feel dreadful.
“Fuck, this is disgusting.” He groaned, gripping the toilet bowl, his knuckles white from how tight his hold was — he sniffled, tears streaming down his cheeks from how horrible he felt.
“George?” He froze, glancing at the closed stall door, Lewis must have followed him into the bathroom out of worry — he hadn’t wanted him to, hadn’t wanted him to see him like this.
“Uh. Yes?”
“Are you okay.”
“Mhm.” George was honestly already feeling better, grabbing a piece of tissue as he wiped down his face, flushing the toilet as he stood up. He rubbed his stomach, frowning a little at just how bloated it seemed to be.
He hadn’t eaten much, yet he was already extremely bloated — maybe it was just from all of the water he had drank. Yes, that had to be it.
Stepping out of the stall, he was met with Lewis leaning against the sink, a worried crease to his brow. George ignored his concerned looks, just moving to wash his hands.
“Are you sure you’re okay?”
“Mhm, the food just made me feel unwell. Would it be okay if I ordered something else?”
“Of course, if it makes you feel better.” George nodded and smiled, moving to hold the door open for Lewis as the two of them headed back to their table.
George scanned the menu, his mouth watering at any of the meat options he read. He didn’t usually eat much meat, but right now he was practically salivating for it. It was so strange, his cravings so drastically different to what he was used to.
“Can I have a steak?”
“Uh, yeah? You don’t usually have that much meat, you having a cheat day?”
“No, I have a really strong craving for it..”
“Ah.” Lewis smiled at that, knowing exactly what was happening with George — though, he wasn’t sure if George had realised yet.
“Craving, hm?”
“Huh?”
“Nothing, nothing. Don’t worry.” Lewis, by now, knew that his friend must be pregnant — he had been around enough omega’s to tell the signs. The extent that George was craving meat being a massive sign towards this potential pregnancy.
He wouldn’t be surprised, George had mentioned in previous meet ups that he and max had spoken about wanting to have children together, he just hadn’t expected George to be pregnant so soon.
“So, other than you throwing up just now, what else has been going on lately?”
“Nothing much. Although, max said that my scent had changed, why do you think that is.”
Lewis paused, sniffing towards George for a moment, he hadn’t really taken much notice of the other man’s scent — but now that he was actually smelling, he could tell.
That milky scent? Yeah, now Lewis knew 100% that his friend is pregnant. He decided to just shrug in response, not wanting to upset George by telling him when he may not be ready to know.
“Hm. I don’t notice anything different Georgie.”
“Oh, okay. We think it may be because I’ve been a little burnt out lately.. it makes sense.”
“Yes, it does make sense.” Lewis smiled softly, he would have to speak to max about this — the other alpha had to know that his omega was pregnant, especially if he had noticed the scent change.
“Well, this was a lovely meal, but I need to get back home. Max and I have plans this evening.”
“Okay, have fun, I’ll see you next week, yeah?”
“Of course.” George grinned, pulling Lewis in for a hug, before leaving the restaurant. Lewis smiled to himself as he watched the man leave. He couldn’t wait to spoil the baby.
3. Alex
Alex and George had been friends with childhood, and had known each other for so long that they basically knew everything about the other. Which is why Alex was curious as to why George didn’t want to tell him that he was pregnant.
The two of them were currently in the Williams’ bathrooms, George hunched over the toilet bowl vomiting whatever he had eating that morning — max had made him eggs and bacon for breakfast, as he had been craving it.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, max probably didn’t cook the bacon properly..” George shivered, sitting down against the wall of the bathroom, wiping at his mouth with his sleeve. Gross.
Alex observed his best friend, noticing the way his driver suit barley fit him — the way his stomach pushed out against the fabric, making the swell of his belly almost obvious. It was clear that the omega was pregnant, yet he still wasn’t saying anything.
“Maybe we should go get you some water or something? Vomiting will leave you dehydrated after all.” George stayed where he was sat for a while, before hefting himself up — ignoring the fact that it took more effort than it usually would.
“Jeeze, I think this stupid suit shrunk in the wash.” George chuckled, his hand coming against his stomach — Alex just frowned a little, assuming that maybe George just wasn’t ready to tell him about the pregnancy yet. He didn’t want to push his friend after all.
Though, as the days past he was more convinced that he was the only one that George hadn’t told. After all, he had over heard Toto talking about who George’s replacement driver would be. So, George had to have told his boss that he was pregnant in order to allow the man to find a new driver.
So, with all this, Alex was deeply confused as to why George hadn’t told him about any of this. They had always agreed to tell each other anything , and surely being pregnant was a massive thing to be told.
“George?”
The pair were currently in George’s kitchen, George sat on the counter whilst Alex made sandwiches for the two of them, George glanced at Alex when he called his name.
“Yeah?”
“Is there anything you need to tell me?”
George frowned, not sure what Alex meant by his question. He hadn’t been keeping anything from his best friend, not anything that he could think of after all.
“No? Why?” George swung his legs, chewing on his nail — he wasn’t sure why Alex was asking him this. Everyone had been acting so weird around him lately, being more careful as if he’d snap at them.
Like how earlier, one of his mechanics stop themself from saying something to George, as if scared that if they said it George would bite them or something. Or, how max was constantly carful with him — even reducing how much sex they had with one another. George hated that.
“Everyone’s acting so strange lately. I don’t get it.”
“Hm. How?”
“People act like I’ll bite them if they say certain things to me, max is being extra careful, and people keep asking me about my scent. I really don’t understand what’s happening.” George whined, a soft pout on his lips. Alex stood there for a moment, taking in what George had just said.
“Well, would you bite them..?”
“No?? Okay, I guess I’ve been snapping at people a lot more lately, but I wouldn’t actually bite them. I’m not feral max.” George groaned, crossing his arms over his chest, which was also beginning to grow a little — another sign that George was definitely pregnant.
“Right.. I’m not sure, maybe they are all just stressed and think you are too? No clue George, sorry.”
“It’s okay. It’s just annoying. Max is acting like one small touch will make me break or something, it’s so weird.”
“Yeah, maybe he’s just tired or something I guess, I’m not sure? Why don’t you talk to him about it?”
George shrugged, glancing at Alex as he made the sandwiches for the two of them — his belly rumbling loudly, he was starving.
“You almost done? I’m really hungry..” Alex rolled his eyes softly, cutting up the sandwiches and handing a plate to George, before making his way over to the table and sitting down.
“Is max going to be back soon?”
“Hm? Yeah, he just went shopping ‘cause I wanted ice cream..” George’s cheeks flushed slightly, he had been cheating on his diet a lot lately — he knew that he had gained a little weight from it, but he hoped that it wasn’t too bad..
“You’ve got him wrapped around your finger.”
“I only had to ask him once and he was already heading out.” Alex smiled softly, glad that his best friend had found such a good partner.
“He’s good for you.” George smiled too, nodding softly. He knew that max would do anything for him, which made a soft heat pool in his stomach, he moved just how caring his alpha was towards him — even more so lately.
The duo chatted and ate their sandwiches, max coming back to the flat half way through their conversation — a shopping bag with three different flavours of ice cream in it in hand. He kissed George in the lips, putting the tube in the freezer.
“Hm. Would you like a bath Schat?”
“Oohh.. that sounds nice..” Alex watched the couple, smiling softly. He should probably head out soon anyway — he wanted to talk to max first though. So, as he was leaving, he pulled the man with him. Luckily, George had gone off to put a bathrobe on.
“He’s pregnant isn’t he?” Max stared at Alex with wide eyes, he knew it was obvious but nobody had actually said anything to him yet, surprisingly.
“Yeah, he is. He hasn’t even noticed yet..”
“I’m not sure how.. I mean, no offence, but .. his driver suit doesn’t even fit him anymore.”
“I know, Toto was talking to me about his replace driver, because George is definitely way past the safe period to be driving. The two of us just need to convince him to step away from the car. Toto is thinking of just telling George that he wants him to take a mental health break or something.”
“As if he would agree to that.”
“We can just try I guess..”
“Yeah.. well, good luck.” Alex pulled max in for a hug, proud of his two friends — though he was still extremely shocked that George seemed to be so clueless towards his own pregnancy.
