"I used to think we would make it one day. Marriage, more kids, white picket fences, the whole nine yards. I mean, the rest of the 118 definitely seemed to think so. There was a bet on us in a notebook and everything. I got them to donate half the money to the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and half to Wounded Warriors in the end."

Summary
He grabs one, takes a bite, and whatever sound comes out of his mouth probably does not have a name yet. It's something akin to a moan — but also way different, obviously. Because this is a cookie. He's eating the cookie and he's not doing any bed related activities… or something like that.
As quick as the cookie appears in his hand, it's gone. The chocolate stains on his hand are the only evidence of what was once there.
Already eyeing another cookie, Eddie decides a new course of action is needed. Something totally different than being in the kitchen. Like dusting the tops of their bedroom closet or vacuuming under the rug in the living room.
Or 5 times Eddie sneaks a taste of something Buck baked and 1 time Buck sneaks a taste of something instead.

Summary
Buck has a secret.
He's the guy behind a wildly popular tiny cooking channel. A channel that he fuels through “borrowing” negligible amounts of ingredients from Eddie’s kitchen. He’s not proud of it, but what someone doesn't know won't hurt them, right?
Eddie has a problem.
He has a rat that’s been stealing ingredients from his kitchen. It’s smart and subtle in its takings, but he’s onto it and will catch it. Good thing he has a best friend, who he may or may not be in love with, to help.
An accidental identity reveal, a deeply committed “rat” bit, and a minor emergency later, two idiots who fall in love.
OR:
Buck has a miniature cooking channel no one knows about. Buck also has a bad habit of stealing ingredients from Eddie’s kitchen. Eddie thinks the missing ingredients are due to a rat, which he enlists Buck’s help to catch. Hijinks ensue.

Summary
The thin wall between apartments 4A and 4B was a torture device of the highest order. Every night, just past ten, the sounds began.
It started with low murmurs, Eddie’s deep voice rumbling something that made Shannon laugh, a bright, carefree sound. Rustling sounds, followed by the creak of their bedframe and a rhythmic, insistent thump, thump, thump against the shared drywall. Buck could smell them through the plaster, the potent, intoxicating cocktail of two alphas mating.
He’d lie in his own cold bed, a hand over his mouth while his other hand inevitably drifted between his legs. His omega slick soaked through his boxers, a pathetic, constant leak.

Buck is a good dog—a loyal dog, chained by only his own loyalty that feels heavy like iron around his neck as he waits. A good dog waits, and if Buck can’t be a good teammate for his family, he can be a good dog for them.
Even though he wants to stay, Buck is a good dog—he follows commands, sits when he’s told, gets off the couch when prompted, and doesn’t even steal food. He’s a good dog, and good dogs return to their imaginary owner at the end of the day when they decide it’s his time to go. He’s a good dog as he walks through the streets of L.A., dodging strangers, weaving through back alleys, and crossing the streets when the light tells him he can.
Buck is a good dog; he’s not a good human, though—dog him is selfless, happy to bask in people’s presence. Human him is selfish, needy, and graceless; unlovable, barely tolerated, and too much.
