The man didn’t say a word as he slowly dragged the blade down the inside of Peter’s wrist, deep enough that any normal person would’ve bled out swiftly, and he had to fight against every one of his screaming instincts to stay quiet. His blood was hot and sticky as it quickly seeped from the vein Peter knew had been hit. The heat of it was almost comforting when the chair was so cold, but the initial rush of warmth faded as his fingertips began to turn to ice.
For a brief second, Peter entertained the idea of bleeding out, but his body was working against him and he could already feel his insides trying to stitch themselves back together.
“Fascinating…” The man whispered, before turning to scribble something in his notebook.

Peter, on a never ending pursuit of trying to rid his precious home city of crime, gets word of Doc Ock escaping the Raft once again. Not a surprising sight in the slightest, although the weird glowy tech the scientist carries with him does make the vigilante wary. He’s already having a busy morning and now he’s gotta deal with this?! Come on!
Here comes yet another fuck you from the universe when the questionably-crafted work breaks with a fizzling, popping sound once the spider manages to wrangle it from Doc. Whatever it is immediately activates in his spandex covered hands, makes his body go all fuzzy and tingly inside, and then promptly explodes.
Is he dead? He doesn’t feel dead. God, if you can hear him, it’s Peter, and he’s demanding to know what the fuck is going on with his life.
Spidey in Gotham. Booyah. Except mutants in this world are apparently called “meta humans” or some shit and his body takes spider DNA to a whole new level.

The dust was invading his lungs, his eyes and mouth. Making him cry and cough and whimper. His arm was on fire and he couldn't feel his legs. He was getting dizzy with each passing second.
He tried to push himself up but for a moment he was stopped by the piece of concrete on his arm. Then something seemed to pop or break lose and he was holding himself up with one arm. Peter glanced at the other and his stomach tightened as he threw up everything in his system. his arm was gone and all that was in its place was a white bone covered in blood sticking out of the skin. He continued to sob as he freed himself from the rubble, close to fainting he dragged himself away from the debris with only one functional leg.
He laid pushes himself up against a rock and turned over onto his back, panting heavily as he stared up at the sky. His leg and arm were bleeding heavily and as the adrenaline went down the pain increased.
In a final attempt he tapped his side in search of his phone, he just needed to call someone before his world went black.Au that spiderstan_ made; What if during homecoming peter sustained more injuries? What if the collapse broke an arm and leg beyond repair?

Peter was not one of them. With his thin limbs, the malnourished twelve-year-old was on the brink of death from exhaustion and starvation. It seemed that his days were numbered, and he himself longed for death. At least, that’s what he believed—until a threat from the outside emerged, the one his superiors had warned him about: the Avengers.

Peter do nich nie należał. Ze swoimi chudymi kończynami, niedożywiony dwunastolatek był na skraju śmierci z wyczerpania i głodu. Wydawałoby się, że jego dni były policzone, a on sam z utęsknieniem czekał na śmierć. Tak przynajmniej myślał, dopóki nie przyszło zagrożenie z zewnątrz, przed którym ostrzegali go przełożeni - Avengersi. Jednak z niejasnego powodu, grupa ta chce go ocalić. Szczególnie Tony Stark, Handlarz Śmiercią, zobaczył w nim coś, czego on sam nie widział. Z nieznanych mu intencji, chce się nim zaopiekować i pokazać, że świat ma mu jeszcze wiele do zaoferowania.
