Diventa conscio di tutto ciò che ha sbagliato nel vano tentativo di salvare la città, ma ormai è troppo tardi.
Eppure, quando Cobblepot preme il grilletto, Jim riapre gli occhi e si trova davanti al cadavere di Theo Galavan, con una pistola fumante in mano e la consapevolezza di essere, chissà come, tornato indietro nel tempo.
E al suo fianco c'è l'uomo che tra tredici anni lo ucciderà, con il quale ha appena commesso un omicidio...
Con la conoscenza di ciò che succederà da lì in avanti, riuscirà Jim Gordon a cambiare il proprio destino e quello degli abitanti di Gotham?Lo aspettano scelte sofferte che metteranno a rischio delle vite, ne salveranno altre... o le cambieranno profondamente.
