Macbeth has been having trouble sleeping since the three weird sisters announced their prophecies to him. He already knew he was the Thane of Glamis, there’s already a Thane of Cawdor, and by no means is it possible he’ll become king in his lifetime. Despite the last two being so far off, he can’t help but feel drawn to the prophecies. Being king wouldn’t be bad whatsoever, who was to judge him then? No one. No one could judge him for how he ruled, or how he felt about Banquo.
