His terrifying expression did nothing to alleviate the suffocating tension in the room; if anything, it amplified it. His eyes were dark and unreadable, narrowed with a mixture of fierce possessiveness and sheer frustration. Every muscle in his body was coiled tight, radiating a dangerous, predatory aura that made the space around them feel suddenly too small. Mob stared back, frozen under the sheer weight of Verity's gaze. The air crackled with unspoken words and escalating panic. But before Mob could even attempt to defuse the situation or stammer out a response, the dynamic shifted entirely.
