Summary
There once was a mermaid who fell in love with a man. She couldn’t bear to be separated from the man, so she made a pact with a shaman. Their love blossomed and the shaman who once gave the mermaid two legs became incredibly jealous.
"If you want to stay human, you have to cut out his heart with this dagger, while he’s asleep. If not, you will turn into sea foam and die."
The woman loved the man to death, but she loved his offspring more, who was growing in her stomach. So, in an act of desperation, she murdered her husband.
The man felt utter betrayal. In his last breaths, he cursed the woman.
"May your descendants never know love. And if they do, they must either end their own life or cut out their lover’s heart."
Since then, to escape the wrath of that man, the descendants of the woman were always wed with the descendants of the shaman.
Till jumped to his feet.
"There’s no way I’m marrying him!"
